In Too Deep

Chapter 13

Kellin made his way out of the locker room into the cool February air. It was good to play again after sending all that time off. And it was really nice of their 'rival' school to offer this game. He doesn't understand why their schools hate each other so much. He gets along with some of the other people on their team like Justin and Gabe. He looked over at the bleachers. Jaime was holding up a sign that read 'Kellin Fucking Quinn #21'. He let out a little laugh. Tony had a smaller sign that read 'Go Pretty Boy'. Vic saw the pale boy and ran into his arms where he was picked up and twirled around. He let out a little squeal.
"Looking pretty good Quinn." Vic whispered into Kellin's ear. He set the tan boy down but didn't release him from his arms.
"I could say the same for you." Vic pulled their lips together and tangle his hands in Kellin's hair. He felt something hit his back.
"Gross." Mike's voice pulled them apart. "Keep this up and I'll have to listen to you guys have sex." Vic turned around and Kellin place his arms around Vic's shoulders. He put his lips to Vic's ear.
"You know that isn't a bad idea." Vic felt heat over take his face. Sex seemed too early right now. He was still afraid of the fact that Amy was finding every which way to tear him apart. After Vic had admitted his feelings, Amy noticed that he was hanging with Kellin a lot more. She was still claiming that the baby was the paler boy's but he always denied it. He swore to Vic that he had not been with her since winter formal. But what he doesn't understand is, even if they had been together after that, the baby is at least 8 weeks meaning Vic wasn't with Kellin at the time. So Vic doesn't care. It's a past relationship.
It would be easy to have sex though. Kellin was practically living in the Fuentes household because of his father. He was afraid that if he goes back the older man will take all his anger out. So he just alway stays in Vic's room which nobody really minds. Well Vic does but that's because Kellin is a lot more entertaining than trigonometry. It also doesn't help that people keeping asking Vic what is on his neck. He just tells them that it's none of their business and shoos them away. Take it further than kissing scares the tanner boy to death. He even told Kevin how he felt about it. The other boy claimed that Kellin would never leave him and that at least males can't get pregnant.
"Are we goin to this party or what?" Jaime pulled Tony down the bleachers. So far in their relationship everything was just peachy. Jaime was still a little hesitant to totally go through with their relationship. He always got sex quickly then left but he didn't want to do that with Tony. He wanted it to be special for the younger boy.
"Y-yeah." Vic stuttered nervously. He was so afraid. He was expecting Kellin to leave him as soon as he got the party. They all made their way to the parking lot. Kevin was leaning up against the hood of his car. He waved at them with a goofy grin on his face.
"Hey. Who is going to ride with me?"
"I'll take Vic." Kellin tangled his fingers with Vic. Kevin looked between the couple. He could practically see the tan boy's face turn green. He nodded as Mike got into the passenger seat and the others got in the back. Kellin led Vic to the passenger side of his car. He leaned against the door, pulling Vic close. Their friends drove off.
"We don't have to go. We can call it off right now." Kellin was moving his head to catch the other boy's gaze.
"I thought you would want to go." Kellin chuckled.
"I just want to be with you." He rubbed their noses together in a Eskimo kiss. Vic let out a small giggle. "That's better." They stood in silence for a little while.
"Let's go to the party."
"Really?"
"Really, really. Just please don't leave me alone." Kellin feigned hurt.
"I would never dream of leaving you." Kellin opened up the door for Vic to get in.
"You're so derpy." Kellin shut the door and went over to the driver's side. He started the engine then leaned over to capture Vic in a surprise kiss. Vic raised an eyebrow after Kellin pulled away. "What was that for?" Kellin pulled out of the school parking lot, heading towards the party.
"Nothing." Kellin shrugged. "I just know this is outside your comfort zone. I- thank you." Vic leaned over the console, pecking Kellin on the cheek. All nervousness left Vic as he began to believe that his boyfriend would always be there for him.
"You're welcome." Kellin parked the car on the side of the curb as teenagers made their way towards the house. He stopped Vic from getting out of the car.
"Listen to me. I want you to stay by my side or by Kevin, your brother, Tony, or Jaime. Never be alone. Don't take anything anyone offers you unless you trust them. Stay away from Amy she will be sober, even more dangerous. And stay the fuck away from Jake. He has been acting weird today. And don't l-" Vic silenced Kellin with a kiss. He pulled away with a smile.
"I'll be fine."
"I love you."
"I love you too. Come on. Let's go." Vic jumped out of the car waiting for Kellin. They made their way over to the house. Loud music and bright lights poured out the windows as a few teenagers were making out a across the lawn. Kellin knew this house. It was Jesse's house, a really smart kid. He walked through the door with Vic behind him.
"Just stay close to me." Kellin's lips brushed along Vic's cheek. He waved at Kevin making his way into the kitchen.
"Where is my brother?" Vic looked around for his younger brother. He was nowhere in sight. Kevin shrugged.
"Went off with some girl. Tony and Jaime went off alone too." Vic raised an eyebrow at Kevin. He had a little knowing smile on his face. "Hey Kellin. Play a round of beer pong with me?"
"What are we betting?" Kellin was back to his cocky self. He never acts this way around Vic.
"How about the satisfaction that you didn't get drunk off your ass?" Kellin shrugged, heading over to the table that was already set up. Vic rolled his eyes but still followed to watch. He ran into someone muttering a quick sorry.
"Oh hey Vic." Austin smiled at him.
"Hey. Is Caitlin here?" Kellin watch as Vic was talking to Austin. They seemed to be getting along.
"Nah. Her dad wouldn't let her go to one of these things. You know cause he's a preacher and alcohol is the devil's nector. What's up with you and Kellin?" Vic's pulse started to race.
"What do you mean?"
"Oh really nothing. It's just you guys seem to be hanging out a lot more." He glanced over at his boyfriend.
"We just became really good friends after the whole Oli thing." Austin pat him on the back.
"I understand. Do you want to hang out?"
"Yeah sure." Austin handed him a drink and they walked into the living room where people were dancing. That's how the night started. Drink after drink, Vic's judgement started to blur. Austin pulled him onto the dance floor grabbing his hips. They started laughing when Austin started to grind against his body. They stopped after awhile and went back into the kitchen.
"Having fun?" Kellin stood by the tan boy. He saw the way that Vic and Austin were dancing. He couldn't help but feel jealous. He couldn't do that with Vic because of his damn reputation.
"I think Austin would make a horrible gay guy." Austin lightly shoved Vic.
"I'm in love with Caitlin!" Austin stated childishly.
"I'll be back." Vic went to leave but Kellin's grip in his arm stopped him. He rolled his eyes. "I'm going to the bathroom." Vic made his way down the hallway. He hadn't drank that much. Only 5 cups of whatever the hell Austin was giving him. He found the bathroom and did his business. As he was washing his hands someone he had been successful at avoiding stumbled in. Jake looked completely smashed. They made eye contact.
"Hey freak." Jake shut the door, flicking the little lock in the process. Vic started to panic. He wouldn't be able to get to the door and he was locked in here with the single most person who found pleasure in torturing him.
"I have to go." Vic mumbled. Jake pushed him farther inside as he tried to escape.
"Your boyfriend Kellin isn't going to help you." Vic looked at him with wide eyes. "Yeah I know. I saw you guys pretty cozy in the hallway."
"Jake if you're a real friend to Kellin you wo-"
"I don't care about him! I want Amy but she wants him. And he wants you."
"I don't understand what you mean." Jake moved to tower over Vic.
"It means I want you gone. For good."
"I'm finally happy. I'm not going anywhere." Vic pushed past his bully, grabbing the doorknob.
"Let me guess. He hasn't had sex with you and he claims that he's in love with you. When you try to go farther, he always stops you. He took you to see his 'sister'." Vic jerked the door open. "He's playing with you Vic. Who could love a freak like you?" He felt the tears streaming down his face as he searched for Kellin. He found him with Kevin. He ran over and tugged on his arm frantically.
"Sweetheart what's wrong?" Kellin turned his full attention on the tan boy.
"I want to go home. Please just take me home." Kellin nodded, slinging his arm around Vic's shoulders as he led them out. He had no idea what was going on. One minutes Vic was happy with his new friend and the next he was crying, begging to go home. He helped him into the passenger. They drove to Vic's house in silence. As soon as they pulled into the driveway Vic jumped out and ran into the house. Kellin made his way to Vic's bedroom door. He let himself in to reveal Vic laying on his stomach with his face buried in his arms.
"Vic?"
"Can you please stay in the guest room tonight? I just need to think some things through." Kellin sat at the edge of the bed.
"Vic what happened?"
"Nothing." Kellin threw his hands up in the air.
"This doesn't seem like nothing. One minute your grinding on another guy, happy and the next you come out of the bathroom crying like a teenage girl. And what the fuck was that shit with Austin?!"
"He's a friend."
"That was a little friendly for just a friend." Kellin felt the effects of the alcohol on his brain. He was thinking irrationally. Vic jumped off the bed to stand in front of his boyfriend.
"Are you kidding me?! This is my FIRST relationship and you're accusing me of cheating. If anything I should be worried about you!" Kellin rose to eye level.
"Worried about me?! I would never do that to you Vic! For fuck sakes I'm in love with you." Vic scoffed.
"Bullshit! How many other people have you said that to? I hate that you say I'm special because it's pretty obvious I'm not."
"I've only said it to you! You and my family." Kellin grabbed both of Vic's hands. "You are special. You're my world."
"What about Amy?"
"What about her? Did she talk to you tonight?" Vic shook his head.
"I know I said I would be jealous but I feel it. The thought that her baby could be your baby-" Vic paused looking at his floor. "I think your lying to me."
"About what?" He felt the tear threatening to open the flood gates.
"Everything." Kellin went to bring him into a hug but was stopped. "Just get out."
"Vic-"
"I mean it Kellin. OUT!" Kellin shuffled to the door. He could probably expect that Vic's parents heard that whole conversation. He looked back at Vic who was staring at his bed.
"I love you." The tan boy cringed.
"Leave." That's just what Kellin did. He walked into the guest room, stripped into his pjs, and go into the cold uninviting bed. He could hear coming for Vic's room his movements and the light sobs that were let out.
