Everything Has Changed

First Date

Sergio arrived promptly at seven wearing leaving the blue box hidden in his car for later.

Alex happily answered the door and Sergio's jaw dropped when he saw how beautiful she looked wearing

"What's wrong love?" Alex asked, as Sergio's jaw still hung. Sergio snapped out of his trance,
'N-n-nothing, you look absolutely stunning." He said as he swallowed heavily. Alex smiled and kissed his cheek as she grabbed her clutch. "You don't look too bad yourself." She said as she grabbed his hand. "So how far can I get on the first date." Sergio joked trying to shake his nerves. "First date, first base." Alex answered as Sergio opened the door to his Audi. Sergio laughed and got in, starting the car. "So where are we going?" Alex asked as they drove towards the city. "That's for me to know and you not to figure out." Sergio said as he turned left. "Well fine then." Alex said pretending to be grumpy. "Though I will tell you, we are going to a few places, and I do hope you enjoy it all."

Sergio smiled as they pulled into the parking lot of a very fancy restaurant, Sergio tossed the keys to the valet and placed a hand on the small of Alex's back. The pair were escorted to a table hidden in the back, "This is such a nice place." Alex said as she looked over her menu. "It's alright." Sergio said smiling, "Get whatever you want, and don't even try to pay for it." Sergio said. Alex smiled, "That's sweet bu-" she began. "Nope, you don't get a choice." He insisted. The waitress walked over, clearly drooling over Sergio, Alex watched her, jealousy bubbling up. Sergio paid no attention to the young woman as he ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer for them. Alex smiled to herself when she saw that he couldn't care less about the flirty girl. "So." Alex began. "Yes?' Sergio asked. "I know almost nothing about you, in fact I don't even know how old you are, so let's hear it love." Alex said setting down her menu. Sergio chuckled as he took a sip of his wine and began talking, "Well I'm 23, I'm from a small town in Seville, called Camas. It's south of Madrid a few hours. I have an older brother and a younger sister who I love and a mother and father I wouldn't trade for the world. I signed with Real Madrid at 19 (I know that not all of this is true but I changed it to fit the story) from a club I grew up in called Sevilla FC. I've known Iker for years through the National Team and Sky and I have been good friends ever since she moved here and met Iker and I. I love them like family. I love music, mainly Flamenco and I love bull fighting as well." Sergio said looking at her waiting for her to answer. "You seem to have quite the life Mr. Ramos." Alex said sipping her wine. "And that's not all." Sergio began again. Alex raised an eyebrow. "I used to get all the girls in school, I barely graduated high school before my career really took off, so I never went to university; and something super embarrassing about me is that I used to have braces and I looked like a huge dork." Sergio said making Alex laugh "I Have a hard time believing that." She giggled as she sipped her wine. "What about you Ms. Roberts?" Sergio asked sipping his wine. Alex's expression turned sad, "There isn't much to tell, my family turned their backs on me, growing up wasn't easy I have an older brother as well and I went to university and studied fashion design and I'm a designer now, pretty modestly but I'm working on it." She said. "Well if you ever need a model, you know who to call." Sergio said winking as he tried to lighten the mood.

The meal continued with the pair getting to know each other, and soon enough the check came, Sergio grabbed it before Alex could even make an attempt. Sergio paid and the two were on their way out when Sergio was stopped by a young boy who couldn't have been more than nine years old, "Uh e-excuse m-me Mr. Ramos c-ca-can I have your autograph?" the scared boy asked as he shook. Sergio looked at Alex, "Excuse me for a moment." He said before squatting down to be eye level with the young boy. "Of course you can, what's your name?" Sergio said as he took the pen and the ball and began writing. "J-jake." he said nervously. "Hi Jake, I'm Sergio." He smiled at the boy who smiled back. Sergio continued to hold a conversation asking the boy about football and posing for a picture before giving him a hug and standing back up next to Alex.

Alex linked hands with Sergio as they exited the restaurant, "That was the sexiest thing I've ever seen." Alex said. Sergio smiled, "Really? I just feel like it takes so much courage to even approach guys like me, the least I could do is be polite and talk to them. I remember when I was that age, it's scary." He said. "Well it was really sweet love." Alex said kissing his cheek before they entered his car. "So where are we going now?" Alex asked. "I'm not telling you, it's a secret." Sergio said smiling.

Sergio continued driving until he reached a large one story building with no windows, "Sergio what is this place?" Alex asked concerned. "Trust me." He said as he wrapped an arm around her waist. They entered into a room that seemed to travel back in time, it was a formal dance hall, classic. Alex loved how old fashioned he was being. The dance hall was classic with a twist, classic songs like "just the way you look tonight" played but were song by artists like Adam Levine. "Is this another one of your tricks to steal a base?" Alex asked as she laid her head on his chest, hearing his speeding heartbeat. Sergio laughed happily, "no it's just an excuse to hold you close to me." He whispered as he leaned down to kiss her neck lightly. Alex wrapped her hands around his waist and pulled him into a hug as they swayed to the music. The clock struck 11 and Sergio spoke, "Time for one last stop." He said slipping his hand into hers, Alex laughed and followed behind.

The city began to disappear behind them quickly as they headed up a large hill, Alex looked out her window at the shrinking city. Sergio pulled into an empty look out point high above the beautifully lit city of Madrid. Alex climbed out of the car and sat on the hood of it, waiting for Sergio to join her. Sergio dug around his car, finding what he was looking for and quickly shoved it into his inside jacket pocket. Alex turned around in time to see him remove his hand from his jacket pocket, it made her wonder what he was hiding. Sergio walked over and leaned down to Alex, capturing her lips in a kiss, as he stood over her. Alex moved her hand up to his cheek as he wrapped an arm around her waist. To say the least, the kiss was beautiful, the pair moved in tune with each other, neither looking to advance it, all of Sergio's player motives and boyish needs were thrown out the window as he stood there kissing a girl he really loved. Sergio pulled back after awhile and spoke, "I have something for you." he said as Alex raised an eyebrow at him. Sergio moved to pull out the item in his jacket pocket, exposing a blue Tiffany & Co box tied with the signature white bow. "Oh Sergio, you didn't have to do this." Alex said as he handed her the box. "I didn't do it because I had to, I did it because I wanted to and because I love you." He responded as he moved to sit next to her. Alex carefully untied the ribbon as Sergio placed an arm around her. She carefully removed the lid and pulled out a necklace, the signature heart shaped, engraved Tiffany & Co heart, but there was something else on the necklace as well. Alex took the necklace in her hand to examine it and that's when she noticed the sterling silver and diamond number four that was on the necklace as well. "Sergio it's perfect." Alex said as she looked it over again. "For when I'm not around you, so you know that even if we are apart, I'm with you somehow and that I'm always thinking about you. Alex I've completely fallen for you, and I love you." Sergio said. Alex turned to him, her eyes welling up, "I love you so much." She said as she hugged him. She pulled back, "Will you help me put it on?" she asked handing him the necklace. "Of course mi amor." He said as he placed the necklace around her neck. Alex made sure to take note that Sergio didn't stutter when he said any of that, he was 100% confident in what he had just said to her. Alex pulled Sergio into another meaningful kiss, like the one they had shared only a few moments before. Alex pulled back after a while and the pair turned to enjoy the view in front of them as she laid her head on his shoulder. "Oh and there's one more thing." Sergio said. Alex looked up at him confused. Sergio pulled two chocolate bars from his pocket, "Dessert." He smiled as he handed Alex one. She chuckled and took the bar from him and placed her head back on his shoulder as she ate it. It suddenly turned cold, and Sergio seemed to notice Alex had gotten cold; he moved away for a moment to take of his jacket and place it around her before wrapping an arm around her to pull her close. Sergio pulled the two of them to lay on the hood of the car to watch the stars. Alex smiled as his smell enveloped her, she placed her head on his chest and sighed in content. The pair sat in silence, just happy to be near each other.

Sergio had successfully pulled off the best date of his and Alex's life.
