I Don't Want to Live in the Modern World

Thirteen (almost fourteen) year old Gloria Hammilton is sick and tired of her generation with their poor taste in music and annoying slang. Two days before her fourteenth birthday, she wishes that she didn't live in the modern world and the next day, she wakes up in the year 1985, in Oakland California. She meets thirteen year old Billie Joe and they become friends from their first meet. Gloria enjoys her sudden adventure, but wonders whether she wants to return to 2013 where she would again be the minority.
