Kismet.

Kismet.

The night sky was quickly beginning to take over the horizon but a deep purple smudge lingered on the skyline of the trees, and the stars hovered in the sky as they watched the pair. With his arms curled around her body to keep her warm from the April chill, she couldn’t help but bury her head into his chest and allow that smile to erupt across her face. It was the first time they had been wrapped in each other’s arms and it self to right. In her mind she told herself not to, but she nuzzled herself closer into his body, with his sweet scent causing shivers to go down her spine in such a way she’d never felt before.

It felt so surreal that just three days before this was something she never thought she’d feel. But as that weekend played out she couldn’t help but see him in a different light, and the emotions came over her in such a strong and overwhelming way. The tingling in her stomach told her that this was meant to be, and now that she was willing to see what was really in front of her, she knew she couldn’t let the soul mate with his arms wrapped around her slip away.

As she rested her head on his chest, her heart began thumping a thousand times a second as she truly realised the importance of the man beside her. She couldn’t imagine life without him, knowing that the stars wouldn’t shine and the sun wouldn’t rise if she didn’t walk down the path destiny had chosen. She felt giddy at the prospect, slightly overwhelmed at the outburst of thoughts that were running through her mind. She knew one thing for sure though. She’d never felt like this before.

She looked up at him, mesmerised by the beauty her stubbornness had hidden from her for the past three weeks. The stars reflected in his eyes as he smiled at her, and she knew those eyes didn’t lie as they shone with ardour and admiration, she could see a future written for them to be together in the constellations reflection.

He was perfect in every way.

As their gazes locked, she couldn’t help but wonder why he hadn’t acted upon the fervour that lay between them. The chemistry between them had slowly crept upon her that weekend; but as they sat there snuggled in each other’s arms, the impact of their bond hit her with such force that if she were standing she would have fallen to the ground in a state of veneration. He, and everyone else, had been aware of their connection – so why hadn’t he kissed her yet?

“Look at you waiting,” he said, unable to stop a smirk being splashed across his face.

“Waiting for what?” She replied, her heart beat speeding up once again and a flush of colour rushing to her cheeks. He leaned down and kissed her, it was the sweetest kiss she had ever tasted and she knew in that moment she would never be happier than right now.
