Jarvis always had a security camera focused on Holly. 24/7, 7 days a week. He took his job very seriously, as he did with everything, but deep in his framework and programming, he could almost feel protective over the child herself. He knew it was impossible, as he was only an A.I. with no real brain or body, but Tony seemed to think it was interesting when he informed him of the changes.

“When I first built you, I wanted to make an evolving artificial intelligence that could push the limits of what I could do. So far, you’d been doing exactly that. Before Holly was born, you’d hit a plateau. She’s good for you, Jarvis. Holly is going to make you even better.”

If Jarvis had an actual ego, it would have been quite inflated. But instead, he turned his focus back to the security camera stationed in Holly’s bedroom, where Virginia and the child were playing with some form of dollhouse.

She would make him better, and he would keep her safe.
