Demolition Lovers

Chapter 6

I sang with Billie Joe as we waited for the police officer to let us through. Mikey laughed at me and I ignored him and sang louder.

"Shut the hell up, bitch." my eyes widened as a black guy in the car next to us, screamed at me.

Mikey laughed harder. I turned to him and laughed. We turned up the music and belted out the lyrics.

All the time, every time I need it.
What's the time?
I'd say the time is right.
Here's to me.
Let's find another reason.
Down the hatch and a bad attitude.
Salud.

Wasting time
Wasting time down a bum fuck road.
And I don't know where the hell it'll go.
Heirlooms and huffing fumes, and I'm picking up the pace
and I'm gonna smash straight into a wall.

All the time.
A "New Year's Resolution"
How soon that we forget.
Doing time.
Loving every minute.
Live it up on another let down.
Salud.

Promises, promises, it was all set in stone, cross my heart and hope to die.
Sugar fix, dirty tricks and a trick question.
Guess i should have read between the lines.
Having the time of my life, watching the clock tick.

All the time, where did all the time go?
It's too late to say goodnight.
Time flies when you're having fun.
Time's up when you work like a dog.
Salud

We sang louder as the fellow driver cranked up his rap music. The song ended and another one started. I laid my head bock on the seat and chuckled.

"That probably wasn't smart. We'll probably be shot now." Mikey said.

I laughed.

"Don't be so uptight." I said. I tugged at his earlobe. He smiled and turned to me.

We looked at each other and before I knew what was going on his lips crashed onto mine. His tongue grazed mine and I allowed him to violate my mouth. We laid back on the seat in a heated make-out.

"Hooonnnk, hooonnnkk" A truck horn blared.

Mikey sat up and drove up with the other cars.

I told him the directions to my house, and we arrived shortly.

"Bye." I whispered.

He nodded but didn't say anything.

What have I done? He'll never talk to me again.
