Ski Lifts and Hockey Sticks
Welcome to Wildcat Mountain Resort
Morgans POV: I was abruptly awaken when the car hit a speed bump. I looked around the car, my sister Aquamarine was curled up with her penguin pillow pet, and my best friend Lydia was passed out on my shoulder, my dad was snoring in the passenger seat, and my mom was driving.
Morgan: "mom we almost there?"
I said groggily.
Mom: "Oh honey. You're up! Finally someone to talk to! Everyone's been asleep since we left, but were finally are there! 13 hours of driving! I could use a break!"
She was always chirpy, I have no clue how but she was... As we pulled into the hotels parking lot I saw the Wildcat Mountain Resort sign fly past us. It was our annual winter break trip, two weeks of skiing and snow boarding. It's so much fun, and the ski boys are a big bonus! We were meeting my parents best friends up here. They have a set of twins who are my age, they're name's are Hazel and Callie and we're practically sisters. We grew up together. We may only see each other a few times a year, but they are my best friends. Well other than Lydia. But I see her every day.
My mom motioned for me to come into the lobby with her, I slowly squeezed out of my seat and ran to catch up with my mom. We made it into the lobby and I notice a sign for a charity event that starts today and goes on for the next week. It was a Hockey Fights Cancer Foundation, I grabbed a program of events for the week and scanned it over while my mom checked in. I noticed my favorite team was coming and having a signing tonight!! I ran to my mom screaming
Morgan:"THELAKINGSAREHEREANDTHEYREHAVINGASIGNINGTONIGHTCANIGOPLEASE?!?"
The clerk and the desk gave me a weird look and rolled her eyes. "What?" My mom said with a puzzled look on her face "was that even English?" I sighed
Morgan: "of course it was English silly, the la kings are here and are having a signing tonight, can I please go?!"
Mom: "oh, sure. How much is it?"
Morgan: "I don't know, a hundred should cover it, I think"
Mom: "fine here you go, now run along and wake the car up, the cabin is ready!"
I did a happy dance as my mom handed me the money, as I turned around to leave I saw a guy in a hat, sunglasses and a sweatshirt sitting in the lobby watching me with a smirk on his face. I knew him from somewhere but I couldn't pin point how. I shrugged it off and ran out to the car to wake the sleeping bears.
