The New Girl
Once upon a time there lived a girl who went by the name of Jade Kay Sullivan (Sullie). Jade had two sisters, Kaitlin Jae Hutchinson and Danielle Marie Nichols. They all were best friends and they loved each other very much. The 3 sisters were separated because Jade had a different mom from the other two and the two older girls had the same mom. Jade lived in Leroy and went to school at SCC while Kaitlin and Danielle went to BHS. Jade was a boys basketball cheerleader, singer, guitar player, basketball player, and track runner. The other girls played volleyball. Jade enjoyed going to SCC because she had so many friends there. One day when Jade was at cheerleading practice doing her cheers with the others her coach Mrs. Watts called her over, “Jade can you come here for a minute?!” She says, “Yeah.” Jade goes over to Coach Watts. Coach says, “Your mom called she said that you have to leave practice to go to the doctor.” She says, “Okay?” Coach says, “Get your things I will see you tomorrow sweetie have a nice evening.” She says, “Okay, see you tomorrow; you have a good evening yourself Coach Watts.” Jade goes to the locker room and gets her things.
Jade’s POV~
Well guess I have a doctor’s appointment today. I think to myself, “Don’t remember my mom scheduling me an appointment but that’s quite alright.” I go outside and see my mom and some weird guy. I say hugging my mom, “Hi momma.” She says, “Hello, sweetie.” The strange guy says, “Hello, baby girl.” I say, “Uhm… do I know you sir?” He says, “You don’t remember me do you?” I say, “Not really.” He says, “Well Jade I’m your dad the one you’ve been separated from for 3 years.” I say jumping in his arms, “Hi daddy!! :) I missed you.” He says, “I missed you too sweetie and we have some good news and some bad news.” I say, “Okay what is it?” He says, “Well your mom got a new boss and he was rude to her so she quit her job, and until she gets back on her feet she’s going to stay with grandma on the farm because she also lost the house and so you’re moving to Burlington with me and your sisters. You’ll be going to school in Burlington at their high school.” I say, “Okay well, Uhm… that sounds good to me I guess when do I start there?” He says, “Tomorrow, I enrolled you today and your sisters are going to show you around okay? They are so excited to see you again but if you want you can stay with your mom and grandma and the bus will take you to school.” I say, “Okay that works but I’ll stay with you dad and see mom on the weekends if that’s okay?” My mom says, “Okay sweetie that’s fine.” We get in the car and go to my dad’s house. When we pull up Kaitlin and Danielle rush outside and bear hug me for like 30 minutes. I say, “Oh my goodness you guys I missed you so much.” They say, “WE MISSED YOU TOO SIS!!” Kaitlin says, “Well, you’re going to love Burlington there are so many hot guys and friendly people. We are going to love introducing you to our friends and showing you your classes.” I say, “Oh my goodness I’m so excited!!” Danielle says, “Shall we show you your room and whole new wardrobe that will get you some new girl attention?” I say, “Yeah.” We go into the house and I follow them up a huge staircase. I say, “Wow your house is huge.” Danielle says, “Well, it’s not mine, hers, and just dads anymore it’s OURS.” I say, “Sweet.” We get up the stairs finally and Kaitlin says, “Okay, I’m going to cover your eyes and guide you into the room.” I say, “Okay.” She does what she said and then uncovers my eyes I look around and there are KU posters and my favorite band posters all over the room and my name painted on the wall. I say with amazement, “Wow, I’m speechless except I LOVE IT!!” They say, “Well, you still gotta see your wardrobe.” I say, “Okay fire away.” Kaitlin guides me over to a huge closet and opens the door. There are K-State sweats, shirts, shorts, bras, underwear, and the same with KU. There’s also a whole bunch of dresses, tank-tops, socks, shoes from heels, to boots. There’s every kind of clothing I could ever dream of. I smile hugely and say, “Wow!!” They say, “That’s all yours and there’s make-up, sunglasses, hair ties, brushes, combs and everything just for you.” I say, “Wow that’s amazing.” My mom and dad come into the room and I say, “Thank you so much dad, I love it, it’s amazing.” He says, “Don’t just thank me thank your mom and sisters.” I say, “Thanks guys.” Danielle says, “Well, this is your house now and you even have your own bathroom well we all do actually.” I say, “Awesome.” My dad says, “And plus I even made you your own little music room, for writing music, singing it, and playing it. There are 12 guitars, 4 microphones, and so it’s pretty much a recording studio in a way.” I say, “Are you serious that’s amazing.” I hug my dad, and say, “Thank you so much.” They show me around some more and then I say, “Well, mom this was a very good reason to take me out of cheer practice.” She says, “I know and maybe you’ll make it on the cheer team and the other sports teams here and I will bring by the rest of your clothes.” I say, “Okay.” My mom kisses and hugs me goodbye and leaves. My dad says, “Well, how about dinner, a movie, and then bed time?” We say, “Okay.” We all 4 go to dinner and then we go to a movie. When the movie ends it’s about 8:30 so we go home and I take a quick shower then go to bed. I text all my friends what happened and they all say, “We know and we’ll miss you just remember come visit us.” I say, “Always, and I’ll miss you too.” I put my phone on the charger and fall asleep. The next morning my dad wakes me up and says, “Hey Jade, it’s time to get up for school, first day.” I say, “Okay.” He leaves my room and I pick out a KU T-shirt and black Nike shorts, with black socks and my under armor sandals. I grab a pair of white wayfarers with KU on them and a black hat then go downstairs. My dad says, “Kaitlin and Danielle are already at school because they had morning practice so I am taking you to school.” I say, “Okay then that works.” I eat breakfast, my dad says, “You’re driving my car but I’ll be with you.” I say, “Okay then that works for me then. What kind of car am I driving?” He says, “A Black 2014 Dodge Charger.” I say, “Sweet.” He says, “Yeah, so let’s go it’s time to get you to school chicky doo.” I say, “Okay daddy.” We go outside and I put my belongings in the back and get in the driver seat. My dad gets in and we leave. I go to the school and then when we get there the whole school I’m guessing is standing outside messing around. I get out of the car get my things out and scan the people looking for my sisters. Danielle says, “Hey, Jade over here!” I smile with relief and walk over to her and my dad leaves. Danielle hugs me and says, “Well, it’s your first day here lil’ chicky.” I say, “I know and I’m a little nervous because this school huge mine was way smaller, I miss SCC already.” She says, “It is okay. Alright well I’m going to introduce you to my friends.” I say, “Uhm….Okay.” She says, “This is Braden Collins, his little brother Dylan Collins, Bryson Lehman, Drew Seales, Drew’s girlfriend Breckyn Steffans, and my boyfriend Jacob Kraft.” I say, “Hi guys I’m Danielle’s little sister Jade.” Braden smiles and shakes my hand then says, “It’s nice to finally meet a beautiful, tall, athletic, sweet, blonde, and you’re a freshman.” I say, “Yeah, I’m athletic.” He asks, “What sports do you play?” I say, “Boys basketball cheerleading, basketball, track, and then I sing, and play guitar.” He says, “Wow, that’s amazing.” I say, “it’s okay but I am too shy to sing in front of huge crowds I’m only comfortable with Danielle, Kaitlin, my mom, and dad and some other family members.” He says, “Well, sometime you should sing for us we’d really like that.” I say nervously, “Okay, sometime I will but I’ll have to warm up to you guys first.” Braden says, “That ought to be easy, what’s your first class?” I say looking at my schedule, “Web Comm.” He says, “Well I can walk you to class if you’d like me to.” I say, “Okay, sure.” I turn to Kaitlin who made it to the crowd finally and say, “Well, sis how was volleyball practice this morning?” She says, “It was okay I guess, all we did was chill and scrimmage.” I say, “Cool, I’ve never been the best at volleyball.” Kaitlin says, “Do you serve over hand or underhand?” I say, “Over hand when I play in like P.E. units, I jump serve most of the time.” She says, “Really? That’s actually pretty good.” I say, “It’s alright.” A tall strange man comes to the door and opens them for us. I follow my sisters and their friends in the doors and they go to a cafeteria. Braden falls to the back of the crowd and walks by me. He says, “If you ever need help with anything please don’t be afraid to ask me or any of the upper class men, but since it’s your first day just stick with me because I would be more than happy to help a friend.” I say, “Okay thank you Braden.” I see Braden as a very attractive senior and think he would be a great friend to lead me in the right direction, I think he’s pretty cute his beautiful brown eyes, white crooked smile, his black short hair, and low but cute voice. Every time I make eye contact with him he smiles. I follow him and the others to a table. Braden and the others grab chairs, they all sit down and Braden gives me a chair and I say, “Thanks.” He says, “Anything for a pretty girl like you.” I smile and say, “Aww.” He sits down by me and I smell his cologne, he smells amazing. The same strange man that opened the doors for us comes to the table, and says, “Is Ms. Jade Sullivan here at this table by chance?” I say, “Uhm... yes sir that’s me.” He says, “Oh hello Jade, your way prettier than I expected, I’m Mr. Thomas your principal.” Reaching out to me I shake his hand and say, “Hello, Mr. Thomas.” He says, “Well, I see you’ve made friends already, well I wish you luck on your first day and if you have any questions feel free to ask me, Mr. Watkins, or any of these guys, we’ll be more than happy to help you out. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.” I say, “Okay, thank you sir. I’ll keep that in mind.” He leaves and then a bell rings all of us at the table stand up and Braden says, “Alright Jade let’s get you to Web Comm.” I say, “Okay.” We grab our bags and laptops then go. He walks me to my class then says, “Don’t be scared. I will pick you up after this hour and take you to your next hour, I will do this all day today and tomorrow then you can go from there.” I say, “Okay.” Even though we didn’t know each other that well he hugs me and I allow it and then go into the classroom. I walk in and the class looks at me. Having that weird feeling, nervously I say, “Hi.” My teacher says, “Are you Jade Sullivan?” I say, “Yes ma’am.” She says, “Okay well I’m Mrs. Burke.” I say, “Hello.” She says, “Welcome to Burlington, please sit where you can find an empty seat.” I sit down and then a girl turns to me and says, “Hello, I’m Samantha. I’m a freshman.” I say, “Hi I’m Jade I’m as well a freshman and I have 2 sisters here Kaitlin Hutchinson and Danielle Nichols, they are seniors.” Samantha says, “Yeah, their cool everybody knows them and that’s pretty cool you’re their little sister they never really mentioned you much but you are way prettier than them.” I say, “Thank you, being a blonde I use that to my advantage.” She laughs and says, “Do you have first or second lunch?” I say, “First.” She says, “Sweet you can sit with me and my friends if you’d like.” I say, “Okay.” The class goes on and then Mrs. Burke teaches me what I need to do and then I start to work. Samantha whispers to me, “Hey, after the bell rings we stay in here for 20 minutes for homeroom.” I say, “Okay.” A few minutes later the bell rings for homeroom so I finish working on my assignment then turn it in. I sit back down and a boy with black curly hair and his friend I’m guessing come over to me and says, “Hello, Jade my name is Matt Smith and this is my best friend Bradley Harris.” I say, “Hello, my name is Jade Sullivan friends call me Sullie, J-Dog, or J. Sull. It’s just something they came up with.” Matt, Bradley, Samantha and I all talk for a little bit and we get to know each other then as we so caught up the bell rings. I grab my things and walk out the door. Braden is waiting at the door. He says, “So how was your first class?” I say, “Well, it was pretty cool made friends with 3 people and I’ve got a pretty good feeling about this school.” He laughs and says, “Well, that sounds good to me then alright where’s your next class?” I say, “Spanish.” He says, “Well, then I’m in that class and so are your sisters.” I say, “Cool, I took Spanish at SCC where I used to go to school. Been there 3 years lived there since I was 2 and born here in Burlington.” He says, “Cool, my girlfriend Emma is from there she’s a freshman.” I say, “Lehmann?” “Yeah, you know her?” “Yes, I do she’s my best friend, her guy best friend Eric is my boyfriend he’s a senior and lives on his own.” Braden says, “That’s cool, Eric Larkin?” I say, “Yes.” We make it to the Spanish room and go in. My sisters are sitting down, so I sit down by them Dylan, and Braden. The Spanish teacher says, “I see a new face of a young lady.” I think, “Oh boy.” The teacher says, “Hello, Jade, I’m Mr. Carlisle welcome to Spanish.” I say, “Thank you.” He says, “Well looks like you know these young people surrounding you.” I say, “Yeah, Kaitlin and Danielle are my sisters, and Braden and Dylan are sort-of my friends.” He says, “Well, okay then you are a very pretty young lady and we’ll get along just well.” I say, “Thank you and that’s great.” The class goes on and then we learn our lesson and he says, “Now will somebody tell me how to say excuse me in French?” I raise my hand and he says, “Yes, Ms. Sullivan.” I say the word and everyone looks at me and he says, “Wow, you can speak French.” I say, “Yeah, French, German, Spanish, and Russian.” He says, “Wow.” I say, “Yeah.” The class goes on and feels like forever. After class Braden walks me to my next class and that happens all day. At the end of the day I walk out the front doors of the high school and see my dad waiting for me in the car. I go over to the car and he says, “How was your first day sweetie?” I say, “Awesome.” He says, “Good, you’re driving.” I say, “Okay then.” I put my things in the car and get in as well. I drive home and grab my things then go to my room. I get on Facebook and have 9 friend requests on Facebook. They all have found me that fast. I accept them all and then get a post from Samantha saying, “Hey girl, glad that you moved here from Leroy it was great having you at lunch with us we would like you to sit with us again and the rest of the year.” I like and comment then say, “Okay, it was one of my best choices to move here glad I did.” I get a message from my boyfriend and one from Emma. Emma’s says, “I have something to tell you, I’m so sorry but I’ve been lying to you for the last 6 months about something.” I say, “Okay, spit it out.” I read Eric’s and he says, “I cheated on you with Emma for the last 6 months you and I have been together.” I reply, “Really, okay well here’s this WE ARE OVER!!” Emma says, “I’ve been going behind your back and messing around with Eric for the last 6 months.” I say, “Okay whatever here’s a newsflash for you to Emma we are no longer friends!!” smiling I get off Facebook and lay down on my bed and relax. My dad comes to my room and says, “Hey sweetie there are 9 people here with your sisters wanting to see you.” I say, “Okay.” I get up and go downstairs and it’s Braden, Dylan, Drew, Breckyn, Matt, Bradley, Samantha, Jacob and Bryson. Nervous I say, “Hey guys, Uhm I can’t really visit to long.” Danielle says, “That’s okay sis.” Braden says, “Hey I had a really fun day today and I would like to do that again tomorrow.” I say, “Okay, that sounds good because I had an amazing day.” I visit with them for a few more minutes and say, “Hey gotta run.” I go up to my music room, grab a guitar and start playing it. When I get done with that I go to a microphone turn on music to my favorite song ‘I Will Remember You’ and start to sing. Thinking nothing of it I keep on singing. When I finish, I go downstairs into the living room, lie down on the floor. Kaitlin says, “Tired little sis?” I say, “Yes, I am very tired.” She says, “Okay then, so homecoming is next month on Friday October 11th and I’m going to make it where Eric can come to homecoming with you as well as Emma to come with Braden.” I say, “Uhm……… about that Eric and I broke up because he’s been cheating on me with Emma Braden I’m sorry you had to hear that from me and Emma is no longer my best friend. They told me right before you guys came here.” Braden says, “Oh, yeah she told me about that so I broke up with her because I can’t stand girls that lie.” I say, “Well, she played you as well as Eric played me and all I’m going to do is keep my head held high and be proud with a smile on my face. I’m also going to be proud of the message God just gave me, a heart break is like a blessing from God it lets you know he saved you from the wrong one and that’s how I look at it.” Kaitlin says, “Well, see there you go.” I sit quietly for a minute while the others talk and think of words to put in a song. I run over to the desk in the living room grab a pen and paper and write them down. I run to my music room and grab an acoustic guitar and go downstairs and sit at the desk. Forgetting that there were people in the room I play a beat and then start to sing my song that I wrote. When I was done I hear my dad say, “Wow, Jade I had no idea that you could sing like that.” Jacob says, “That’s the worst singing I ever heard.” Danielle and the others besides my dad say, “Yeah, we’ve heard better than that and you’re the worst.” I smile stand up and say, “Wow, I really thought you people were nice and really cool but I guess not, so here’s how this goes don’t like my singing? Don’t be my friend. Don’t like me or what I do? Get out of my house.” I grab my music and guitar and go up to my music room and put it all away. I lie on my bed and cry for hours. I text my mom and tell her everything and that I wanna move back home, and go back to SCC where all my friends are because they actually enjoy what I do and they like my singing. She calls me and I say crying, “Hello?” She says, “Baby girl I’m sorry but you’ll find someone there that’ll enjoy you and what you do just give it time it’s only been a day.” I say, “Okay, I’ll give Burlington another chance but if everything goes down the drain once again I am moving home.” She says, “Okay baby girl.” We chat a little more then get off the phone. I go downstairs and everyone is laughing in the living room. I have my phone and I hear my dad say, “Wow, I can’t believe we actually let her move in with us.” Then everyone else talks about me in a rude way. So put my phone on a voice recorder and then when they were done I sent it to my mom in a text and say, “Here’s my reasoning for me wanting to go home.” She replies, “Pack your things I’m on my way to get you.” I say, “Okay.” I go upstairs and pack my bags and then go downstairs. I sit in the living room with my belongings, and wait for my mom. She comes in the living room and says, “Let’s go it’s time for you to go back to SCC.” My dad puzzled says, “What?!” I say, “Don’t play stupid with me, I heard everything you said and if you don’t like the fact that I’m leaving well you should of thought it through.” He says, “No, wait what do you mean?!” I say getting out my phone and getting the voice recorder, “Remember this?” He says, “Oh? Yeah I do and I’m sorry.” I say, “Sorry doesn’t cut it, apparently you don’t like it that I’m here and apparently they don’t either so I’m going back to SCC where all my friends enjoy what I do, who I am, what I love and they love my singing unlike some people here I know.” Braden says, “You do realize we were joking with you right?” I say, “Well one joke from ya’ll was one joke to much about something that I do, and that I love that takes it way to far and you guys can laugh all you want but I am not, goodbye everyone I will see you around.” I walk out the door behind my mom and then we get in the car. She says, “You know that was pretty terrible of them to do that, and joke around like that because that is something that you do, and that is something that you love.” I say, “I know and I’m excited to go back home where I belong. I’m an SCC Lady Titan and have been for 3 years.” We leave and go out to the farm. I say, “I’m leaving my things in the car for now so we can get everything figured out.” She says, “Okay sweetie that sounds good to me.” We walk in the house and my grandma hugs me and says, “I’m so sorry that happened to you, honey but always remember it’s what you love and who cares what others think do what you love whether they like it or not. Be yourself.” I smile and say, “Thanks grandma, I think I’m going to show up at school tomorrow at Burlington and surprise them and show them who I really am. Maybe make arrangements with Mr. Thomas the principle to have an assembly or whatever in the theatre and then see what the others think about my voice.” She says, “Good idea and do your growling, screaming, and regular high note.” I say, “Okay, will do.” I go up to my room and then think. “Alright, I can bring my clothes up here for now.” I go downstairs and tell my mom, “Right now I’m going to take a few outfits to my room and then go from there.” She says, “Okay.” I go outside and get a few of my outfits and then take them to my room. I go downstairs and eat dinner with my mom, grandma, and grandpa. When I get done I go to my room and arrange it how I want it and then I check the time. It’s 9:23 pm so I change into my pjs, put my phone on the charger and then lie down. My phone rings so I answer it, “Hello?” The person says, “Please come back I’m so sorry for that and I thought you had the most beautiful voice ever, you have the voice of an angel Jade.” I say, “Who is this?” He says, “Braden Collins.” I say, “Braden do you really think that or is this a joke for me to come back so ya’ll can talk crap on me again?” He says, “I really think that this is not a joke I promise.” I hang up the phone, put it on silent mode and go to sleep.
Danielle’s POV~ (Jade’s sister)
Well my sister was living in with us. She moved here from Leroy, and I already miss her. We heard her singing and said that it was the worst singing ever even though it wasn’t that was the best singing I’ve ever heard. As I sit in the room she used to sleep in and chill in I cry. I start to miss her even more and I want her to come back but I don’t know how to prove it that I was just joking. We did talk crap on her and I didn’t really enjoy it that much. Braden and the others are staying the night here and he tried to call her but she hung up. We are probably never going to see that beautiful face, attitude, or hear that beautiful soft voice that can be loud again. As I think about her I cuddle with Jacob in her bed and go to sleep.
Jade’s POV~
The next morning I put on white sport shorts, a gray Aero T-shirt, with white Nike socks, and Nike tennis shoes. Then I grab black wayfarers out of my bag, a black LA hat and go downstairs. I say, “Good morning momma, I’m so ready to go to school and show them people who I really am.” She says, “Great because I set things up with Mr. Thomas and he said he would love to see this, he’s excited.” I say, “Great!” I say, “Mom how am I getting to school?” She says, “I’m taking you in the car your father gave me for you but you’re driving.” I say, “What car?” she says, “Black 2014 Dodge Challenger.” I say, “YAY!!” I get my school things and go outside to the car that is mine. My mom follows me out and we get in. I say, “Mom I got to drive this car twice yesterday, to and from school this is only my third time but it’s okay because I’m a good driver.” She says, “I know.” I start the car and we leave. When we arrive at school I scan the place for my sisters, and their friends. I don’t see them at all but I do see Bradley. I get my things out of the car and walk over to him. I say, “Hey Bradley where’s everyone else?” He looks up and says, “Jade I’m so happy you’re here! I was so scared that you weren’t coming back Braden did this didn’t he?” I say, “No, I decided to give Burlington another chance but not them right now. Where are they anyways?” He says, “They are already inside in the cafeteria Braden crying his eyes out and Kaitlin and Danielle are to.” I say, “Oh, no okay well can we get in?” He says, “Yeah.” I say, “Then I’m going in do you want to come?” He says, “Yeah.” We go in and go to the cafeteria. Bradley goes over to some friends and I talk to Mr. Thomas. He says, “So the whole day there’s no classes just you singing and showing this school who you really are.” I say, “Okay cool.” I walk over to the table that the friends I made the first day are at. I see Braden and my sisters crying. Braden more so than my sisters. I sneak by and run to the bathroom. I hide in a stall for a minute and then Kaitlin and Danielle come in and go to the bathroom so I run out quickly and then go to Braden. I step behind him while everybody’s heads are down not even talking to Braden or anyone, they are quiet. I put my hand on Braden’s shoulder and whisper in his ear, “I love you.” He looks up and says, “JADE!!” He jumps up and hugs me. He smells amazing. I don’t say anything. The others get up and hug us as well. He says, “What made you come back?” I say, “You.” The only reason I came back to Burlington was to give him a chance and Burlington in general. He says, “Me?” I say, “Yes, you, you were the one who convinced me to come back and my mom was the one who convinced me to give Burlington another chance.” He says, “Well, then sit down with us and chill until the bell rings.” I say, “Okay.” When the bell rang we all go to class. As Braden was walking me to Web Comm., he says, “I like you, I have a crush on you.” I say, “Well, I like you too, I have a crush on you too.” He says, “We should hang out more and get to know each other a little better.” I say, “Okay, sounds good to me.” He says, “Well, how about this weekend we’ll start today and go from there.” I say, “Okay, do you have first lunch?” “Yes, we can sit together then. Well you have a good Web Comm. HR Ms. Sullivan, I will be back to pick you up for Spanish.” I say, “Okay, see you then.” Thinking to myself, “Wow that boy is something else, but he’s perfect and that’s all that matters.” As I was going in to class Samantha, Matt, and Bradley meet me at the door. I walk with Samantha over to our seats and Matt and Bradley sit around us. Mr. Thomas announces over the intercom that “There will be no classes today but everyone needs to stay put and Jade Sullivan please come to the office?” I grab my things and go to the office. Mr. Thomas says, “This band right here is the band that you’re going to be working with today, they are called Asking Alexandria.” I say, “Wow, I love these guys I listen to them everyday guys it is such an honor to be working with you today.” Ben Bruce says, “Well, love it’s such an honor to be working with such a beautiful girl like you.” I blush and say, “So now what are we supposed to do?” Mr. Thomas says, “I will take you to the theatre and then we’ll go from there.” I say, “Okay.” He takes us to the theatre were all the instruments, and other stuff was. I say, “Wow, well it’s a good thing that I know how to play guitar, and sing.” Danny Worsnop says, “Well we are here to help you with anything you need I have to say you have a very good band standing behind you today.” I say, “Yes, sir I do.” Mr. Thomas says, “Take a few minutes to figure out what you’re going to do while I go to the office and get everything ready for the students and staff to come see you perform.” I say, “Okay sounds like a plan.” He leaves and AA and I figure out what we’re singing, playing, and all that. When we are done I run to the office and let them know we are ready. Mr. Thomas says, “Okay.” As I was walking back to the theatre Mr. Thomas announces on the intercom, “All staff and students please report to the theatre for a special performance today.” I get in the theatre and say, “Guys did you here that?” They say, “Yes. It’s time Jade for you to shine.” I smile and say, “But I’m not doing this alone so look at it this way, it’s your time to shine as well because you do know that your only a new band so this helps.” I look out behind the curtain and see the whole school and my sisters and their friends were in the front row. I say to the guys, “I tend to get nervous and now I’m scared.” Danny says, “Pretend as if no one was there just get lost in the music it really helps.” I say, “Okay.” Mr. Thomas says to everyone, “Alright we have a young lady that wants to perform for you guys because she thought she could get an opinion on her singing and guitar playing. BHS give her and her band a warm welcome, Asking Alexandria, and Ms. Jade Sullivan!!” We step out on the stage and I say, “Hello, everyone some of you might know me some of you might not and if you don’t well your about to learn, boys. We are going to sing Not The American Average.” As I’m singing I forget where I’m at and just get lost in the music. With me screaming and growling I really wonder what they will think of this but I don’t care. When the song was finished I look around. It’s so silent, and then the whole theatre roars with claps, and screams. After it quiets down I say, “Thanks guys glad you’re very supportive of me thank you so much everyone. Next I’m going to sing Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis.” I start to sing. As soon as I’m done the theatre again roars with claps, and screams. This goes on all day. At the end I made it where there is 1 HR left before it’s time to go home for questions, thoughts, and comments. I say, “Okay, does anyone have thoughts, questions, or comments?” a few people raise their hands so I pick one. I say, “Your name sir?” He says, “Keaton Johnson, I just want to say that you have the most beautiful voice I’ve ever heard and if you keep doing what you do and chase your dream you’ll be the next big thing out there and if you made any albums or records I’d listen to every single one and buy every single one.” I say, “Thank you very much, Keaton that is very nice.” I pick another person. She says, “I’m Ella Watson and I want to say I love your voice you have a God given talent and you’re so beautiful Jade and I’m glad you came here today and showed us what you could do follow your dreams and you’ll go very far.” I say, “Thank you so much and I want to recognize Asking Alexandria, they are an amazing band I love them and they helped me today. Check them out on the intranet on YouTube, you might like them. Thank you all for coming to see me today I really enjoyed you are now dismissed.” I go backstage with AA and Mr. Thomas. He says, “Well thank you for giving us experiences to what you do and I say you’re pretty good as well.” I say, “Thank you.” He says, “Go to your second hour and then you can leave to go home.” I say, “Okay.” I thank AA for being there and go to my second HR like everyone else. I walk into Mr. Carlisle’s class and sit between Braden and Dylan. Braden says, “Hello that was some awesome singing didn’t know you could sing like that.” I say, “Hey, and well you do now lol.” Braden whispers in my ear, “You’re beautiful, and I want you to come to homecoming with me.” I whisper back, “Thank you, you’re cute, and yes I’ll go to homecoming with you I’d love to.” He smiles and says, “Are you moving back in with your dad?” I say, “Yes, I am.” He asks, “When?” I say, “Either tonight or tomorrow but I don’t really know.” He says, “Well, you need to move back soon because I’m picking you up for school after tomorrow.” I say, “Okay then I will get a date set.” The bell rings and I go to the car that my dad gave my mom for me. I get in and head home, on the way home I say, “Mom, I wanna move back in with dad, I think I’ll give them another chance because he misses me and I know it.” She says, “Well, I’m glad you said that because I was hoping you would and sweetie this is your choice so make a wise choice it’s your heart that you need to follow.” I say, “Thanks mom for being supportive of me.” She says, “Your welcome so when are you planning on moving back in to your dad’s?” I say, “I don’t know either tonight or tomorrow whatever’s convenient for you and dad.” She says, “Then we can do it tonight if you want I know your dad will be happy.” I say, “Tonight it is then but we got to go home to get my stuff then we can leave.” She says, “Okay sweetie works for me.” We pull in to the driveway and we go into the house. I go up to my room and get everything out of my room which was a few outfits and then I go out to the car and put it all in there and then go to my mom’s car and get my other stuff. My mom tells my grandma what’s going on and then we leave in the car my dad gave me. I think of all the memories I had at SCC with Emma and Eric. I get out my phone since my mom’s driving and I call Emma. She says, “Oh my gosh Jade I’m so glad you called I’m so sorry that I lied to you your my best friend and I really do need you I’m really-“ I cut her off and say, “Emma, I know I’m your best friend and I really miss you. I know you're sorry and I forgive you that’s why I called.” She says, “Really?” I say, “Yes, and wow Burlington’s amazing but I am making plans with you Friday night, but I have plans Saturday and Sunday.” She says, “Okay, I’ll see you Friday night at your dad’s right?” I say, “Yeah, you know the address don’t you?” She says, “Yes, I do your mom told mine who told me.” I say, “Oh, okay.” She says, “Well, I really hope to see you Friday girl I’m excited and I can’t wait.” I say, “Me too, I’m excited to see you too Emma.” We chat for a few more minutes then get off the phone. My mom and I reach my dad’s house. Dylan and Kaitlin are outside making-out. I think, “Okay this is really awkward because now the whole world can see it.” We pull in and I get out of the car. Kaitlin and Dylan continue to make out. My dad comes outside and they still keep going. I talk to my dad and tell him everything then he helps me get my things out of the car and I go unpack it all in my music room, bedroom, and bathroom. I go downstairs to the living room where Danielle and Braden are cuddling and sleeping. I think, “Wow, what is wrong with people these days, and what has this world come to?” I go outside and the other 2 are still making out and my parents are kissing as well and hugging. I say quietly, “Seriously, what kind of world do I live in nowadays?” I go back into the house and lie down in my bed. I quickly fall asleep because I’m exhausted. About an hour later I wake up and go downstairs. My mom and dad are sleeping on the floor in the living room cuddled, Danielle and Braden are still asleep on the couch so I go look at the front porch. Dylan and Kaitlin are cuddled up sleeping on the porch as well. I hear a knock on the back door so I answer it. It’s Jacob looking for Danielle. I say, “Are you guys still dating?” He says, “No, we broke up and moved on but I wanted to give her this.” I say, “Alright, well she’s sleeping right now she’s not feeling well, I’ll give that to her and let her know that you stopped by okay?” He says, “Okay, let her know that I still love her and I hope she gets better.” I say, “Okay, your message will be delivered when she awakes.” He says, “Thanks, bye.” I say, “Bye.” He leaves and I go up to my music room. I get my guitar and start to play it. I put my guitar away when I’m done and get out 4 pieces of paper. I write on them saying, Bassist guitar, Manager, vocalist, rhythm guitar, and drummer. Then I write on another paper, “My name is Jade Sullivan age 14 freshman at Burlington High School and I’m looking for young talented men ages 14-25 who can either sing, play guitar, drums, or who knows how to be a manager, auditions will be held at the recording studio in Burlington on September 23, 2013, hope to see you there!!” I get the papers and go downstairs. Everyone at this time is awake. Braden and Danielle jump up and hug me and say, “Hello, pretty lady.” I say, “Well, hello guys.” My dad says, “What’s them papers you got in your hands there Jade?” I say, “Papers for the band and auditions that I’m planning on starting. I’m getting ready to go hang them up all over town and have Mr. Thomas put them up around school.” He says, “Alright, well you go do that and we will wait here for you.” I say, “Okay.” I go to the library and make copies and then go around town and put them up everywhere. I arrive home and everyone is there waiting for me. I say, “Hey, guys everything is hung up everywhere and now I just have to sit back, relax and wait for things to fall into place.” My mom says, “Well, if you were meant to do this which in my eyes you were, God will lead people that have the same talent as you to it, and it’ll hopefully be a good band you get, and I hope that you guys can work together easily.” I say, “I sure hope so too.” My dad says, “Jade?” “Yes daddy?” “Your mother and I have something to tell you.” I say, “What?” He says, “Me and your mother are getting back together.” I say, “That’s good.” Looking stunned he says, “Your- you’re okay with this?” I say, “Yeah, there’s nothing wrong with it, your my dad, she’s my mom, and if you love each other and think it’s right then do it, all I’m going to do is sit back and support you in this decision of yours.” He says, “Well thank you for accepting the fact that we are together again.”

James’s POV~ (Jade, Kaitlin, and Danielle’s dad)
When we told Jade that me and Leana were getting back together she took it so well. I think that she wanted us back together and that is a good thing because Leana was my first love but Jade wasn’t born yet, then Danielle and Kaitlin’s mom came along then came along 2 beautiful girls that I love so much. Then I found out that Leana was pregnant with Jade and then I decided that I was going to be with Leana for a while to help take care of Jade when she was born. I’m so glad that Jade accepted that I’m going to be back with Leana.

Jade’s POV~
Well my parents are back together which is a good thing, I was always hoping they’d get back together. I ask Danielle, “Hey Dani can I talk to you in private please?” She says, “Sure sis.” We leave the room and I ask, “So are you and Braden dating?” “Yep, since yesterday after school.” I say, “That’s cool.” She walks out and Braden comes to me and says, “So guess what?” I say, “What?” He says, “Dani and I are together now ever since yesterday after school.” I say, “That’s cool.” I run up to my room, lie on my bed and cry my eyes out. I thought Braden liked me, I thought he had a crush on me, I thought what little we had was real but I guess not. The feelings on his half were never real. I keep crying, then there’s a knock on the door. I say, “Go away!! Not in the mood!!” Whoever it was walked in anyways and says, “Jade?” It’s my sister Dani. I say, “What?” She asks, “Sis are you okay?” I say, “No, I’m not okay, you knew how I felt about Braden and you knew that I liked him but no you go off like you don’t care about my feelings about him and date him!!” She says, “Jade I’m sorry but he asked me!” I say yelling, “I don’t care if he asked you, and you knew exactly how I felt about him!!” I lay on my bed and cry more and more. She says, “I’ll break up with him if you want?” I say, “No, date him, and keep him happy, if he ever has a broken heart I’m finding you. Now go have fun with your boyfriend I’m going to continue to lay in my bed and relax.” She leaves the room and I am sooooo mad at her I can’t even stand to be in the same house as her. I put my shoes on and go downstairs. I hear a knock on the front door. I answer it, the person is Keaton Johnson. I say, “Hey, are you looking for someone?” he says, “Yes, I’m looking for you, I was wondering of you would like to come out and shoot some hoops with me and few buddies of mine?” I look at Braden who looks happy and I say, “Yes, I would love to.” I walk out the door and go with Keaton and his friends to the park a couple of blocks away from my house. We shoot hoops for about 2 ½ hrs. The others leave and I lay down on the court to catch my breath. Keaton says, “Wow, you have some mad basketball skills.” I say, “Yeah, I’ve played basketball for about 2 ½ - 3 years.” He says, “Cool so you wanna go on a walk for a little bit then I’ll get you home?” I say, “Yeah.” He helps me up and we go on a walk around. I find him slightly attractive. He starts talking and we have a conversation and get to know each other. He asks, “So what are you doing Friday?” I say, “Well, I’m hanging out with my best friend Emma or I’m supposed to be then Saturday and Sunday I’m free why?” He says, “Well, Friday your dipping out on Emma your hanging out with me we are going to the movies and dinner.” I say, “Okay.” He says, “Alright, I better get you home before your daddy gets worried.” I say, “Yeah.” He walks me home, and when we get on the front porch he hugs me and says, “I had fun today can’t wait til Friday.” I say, “Same here.” He leans in and kisses me. I don’t fight I just give in and kiss back. We pull away from each other and I smile. I go in to the house smiling like an idiot. Dylan says, “Hey, Jade why are you smiling like an idiot?” I say, “I had a special evening.” Smiling I walk up to my room thinking about the amazing kiss I had with Keaton. I lie down on my bed still smiling and fall asleep. The next morning Braden is in my room waking me up. He says, “Hey, get up time for school chicky doo.” I say jumping out of bed excitedly, “OKAY!!:)” He leaves the room and I get dressed. I grab my backpack and laptop then head downstairs to the kitchen where everyone is eating. I prance around the kitchen like a fool and my mom says, “Well, somebody woke up happy and ready.” I say, “Yes, ma’am I did, I’m excited to get to school.” She says, “Why is that?” I say, “A special thing.” Kaitlin asks, “Like what little sis?” I say, “Oh never mind, hey mom Emma and her boyfriend are coming over Friday and we are double dating.” My mom says, “Okay sweetie but who are you going with exactly?” I say, “A real woman never tells her secrets.” I grab my car keys, back pack, and laptop. “Alright guys see you later, gotta run a special person and I are meeting up.” I leave the house and head to school. When I get there Keaton is waiting outside. I make eye contact with him and smile he smiles back. When I get up to him he hugs me, kisses me on the cheek and says, “Good morning Jade.” I say, “Good morning Keaton.” He grabs my hand and we walk into the school. As we get into the cafeteria still holding hands the others are at their own table we walk by them and everyone is looking at us. Keaton leans down and kisses me and I kiss him back very gently and affectionately. I smile at him as we pull away and we keep on walking. I say, “Hey, I got to go to the bathroom real quick.” He says, “Okay, I’ll be over there with my buddies.” I say, “Okie dokie.” I go into the bathroom and sit down in the farthest biggest stall on the floor. I think, “Oh my gosh what the heck just happened? I look like an idiot in front of my whole new school.” I start to think more and suddenly a warm tear falls down my face soon enough it’s a river of warm tears. I hear the door open and someone say, “Jade?” It sounds like Breckyn so I say, “Yeah?” she says, “Hey it’s Breckyn are you okay?” I walk out of the stall and she sees me and runs to me. She wraps me up in a hug and asks, “Are you okay hun?” I say, “No.” and I start to cry again. She asks, “What’s wrong?” I tell her everything about liking Braden and the fact that I’m with Keaton to try and get my mind off him but it’s not working. She says, “Just try and be happy with Keaton, I’m here if you need any advice, I promise. Braden is not worth your time right now okay?” I say, “Okay.” She wipes my tears and fixes my make-up. She pulls a clothing articles out of her bag. She gives me a red dress and holds another red one. She says, “We are going to put these on and go from there.” I put on my dress and she does my hair and the rest of my make-up and says, “I’m going to do this too.” She does what I did and then says, “Now go out there and show Braden your Keaton’s girl, that’ll make Braden want you.” I say, “Okay.” I walk out of the bathroom. Everyone’s staring at me and I walk over to Keaton and kiss him. He doesn’t fight but he keeps it going. We pull away and I say, “Got you a surprise after school.” I wink and walk to class. I look over at Braden who is drooling. I smile and wink at him then keep walking. I walk into class and sit down. I wait for the others, who come piling in. I feel weird because all the guys are staring at me and drooling. Mrs. Burke teaches us our lesson and I finish early so I ask to go to the restroom. I walk out of the room and Braden’s standing at the water fountain. I keep walking towards him. I reach the door and he says, “Hey.” I say, “Hey.” He jumps to me and kisses me I don’t fight it I just let him. Then when we pull away he says, “I love you and I do like you but your sister forced me into a relationship, but I was getting ready to ask you.” I say, “I love you and like you too.” He kisses me again then says, “You’re my girl not Keaton’s.” I say, “Yes, I’m your girl.” He smiles and says, “So you gotta break it off with Keaton, and I gotta break it off with Danielle.” I say, “Yeah. I’m going to break Keaton’s heart so bad but thing is, I’m getting the one and only thing I want, and like mama always said ‘Baby girl you’re gonna be a heart breaker’ and I always told her ‘yes mama I am.” Braden says, “Well see there you go, by the way Breckyn made you look absolutely amazing today.” I say, “Thank you.” He leans down and kisses me gently and I go to the bathroom. After I’m done I walk back to class. When I walk into class Samantha waves at me. I wave back and sit down next to her. She laughs and says, “You were at the bathroom long enough.” I say, “Yeah, sorry.” She says, “Oh, trust me I know what happened.” I say, “You do?” “Yeah, you were going to the bathroom when you thought hey gotta fix my make-up and hair.” I say with relief, “Yeah.” The bell rings for homeroom so I put everything away, then sit back and relax. Bradley and Matt come over to mine and Samantha’s side of the room. Matt says, “Hey ladies, you wanna hang out this weekend?” I say, “Sorry, I’ve got plans with my boyfriend, best friend, and her boyfriend we’re double dating.” Matt says, “Oh well you have fun how about next weekend?” I say, “Maybe.” The 4 of us get talking and then the bell rings. I grab everything and head to Spanish. I walk in and sit down. Braden and Danielle come into the classroom holding hands. He’s smiling like he’s happy. I think remember your Keaton’s girl. Braden and Danielle sit in the front while I sit in the back and they are holding hands and making out. I ask Mr. Carlisle, “May I go to the office I don’t feel very well?” he says, “Yeah.” I go to the office and ask the secretary if I could call my mom and let her know I don’t feel well. They say I can so I call her and she tells them I may go home. They give me a slip I take it to Mr. Carlisle, and grab my things. Danielle asks, “Where are you going?” I say, “Home away from everyone, I don’t feel very well.” She says, “Well, I hope you feel better sis.” I say, “Yeah, me to.” I walk out and stop by the office and let them know I’m leaving. They sign me out and I leave. When I arrive home I walk in and my mom says, “Hi, sweetie are you okay?” I say, “No, I have a stomach ache and I just want to lay down.” She says, “Okay, sweetie, go ahead.” I go up to my room and lie on my bed. I think about everything that Braden said to me this morning, and then suddenly before I know it I’m breaking into a puddle of tears. I’m done with all this pain, I’m sick and tired of it. I text Keaton and tell him that I’m at home because I wasn’t feeling good, and he says, “Okay, babe I’ll stop by on my way home.” I say, “Okay.” He says, “I love you.” I say, “I love you too Keaton.” He says, “Get some rest love I’ll see you later.” I say, “Okay, will do, see u later.” I stop texting him, put my phone on the charger and go to sleep. I feel a sudden arm around me. I open my eyes and look. It’s Braden. I say, “Braden what are you doing here?” He says, “Your sister and I are broke up are you and Keaton?” I say, “No, because in Spanish today you were holding hands, making out and you seemed happy and that made me sad, broken, and sick after all the things you told me this morning, so I came home.” He says, “Jade, I I’m so sorry that I hurt you I just-“ I turn over and face him, “Don’t worry about it Braden, I’ll text Keaton and tell him that were over.” I text Keaton and tell him and he says, “Friends?” I say, “Friends.” I turn back over and face Braden. I kiss him and say, “I’m never leaving you, ever. No matter, what you say or do it’ll never make me love you less.” He says, “Good, and before it’s too late I got you this.” He slips a ring on my right finger, then he says, “Forever and always, together forever, never a part always love and never hate.” I look at it smile then look at him, and repeat what he said, “Forever and always, together forever never a part always love and never hate.” He seals it with a kiss and I bury my face in his chest. Soon enough I fall asleep wrapped in Braden Jae Meyer’s arms. Later on I wake up and I’m alone. I go downstairs and the house is empty, and Danielle’s room is wrecked it looks like a tornado went through there and a bomb blew up in there. I call my mom who says, “Hello?! Jade Jade?!! Is that you?” I say, “Yes mama, what’s wrong?” She says, “Danielle, she’s in the hospital.” I say, “On my way stay put don’t move.” I grab my car keys and go over to the hospital. I go in and say, “Danielle Nichols.” The lady says, “Room 212.” I say, “Thank you.” I run to room 212 and go in. Danielle’s lying in the bed crying and she has cuts up and down her arms. I say, “Danielle what is wrong what did you do?” She says, “I jumped out of the window in my room because I was upset I lost Jacob and now Braden.” I say, “That’s no reason to just jump out of a bedroom window that is 4 stories high.” She says, “Yes it is I love Braden and he left me for you.” I say, “He was mine first; he said you forced him into the relationship and that he wasn’t happy.” She says, “No, he asked me because he said you denied him.” I say, “He never asked me and that makes me upset do you want him because I sure in the heck don’t?” “Yes, I’d love to have him back.” I say, “Then take him.” I kiss her on the forehead and say, “Danielle Marie Nichols you’re my sister/best friend and I love you very much, never ever do that again if Braden and you split again.” She says, “I love you too and I won’t I promise.” I say, “Good.” I walk out of the room and go home. I clean up Dani’s room and fix her window with a new one and clean the house. As soon as I get done there’s a knock on the front door. I look out and it’s Emma. I open the door and she runs in and hugs me. I scream, “EMMA!” She says, “JADE!” We hug for like 30 minutes and I say, “What are you doing here?” She says, “Staying the night with you.” “Really?! Yay!” She says, “I know so let’s relax and catch up.” I say, “Please let’s do I have so much to tell you.” We sit down and she goes first, then I tell her everything with Braden and Keaton and she says, “Wow, sounds like you’ve had a tough time at Burlington.” I say, “Yeah, and if it happens again everyone’s getting told off, or punched in the face whatever comes first even my own sisters.” She says, “I don’t blame you one bit.” I say, “U hungry?” “Yes!!” I say, “Let’s cook dinner together like the old times.” She says, “Yeah!!” We go to the kitchen and cook dinner like the old times. When we get done with cooking we eat, do the dishes clean up the kitchen and turn on some music. We dance around the living room and the house. At 9:00 we turn off the music and go to my room. We change into our pj’s and pass out on my bed like the old times. The alarm on my phone goes off and I wake up. I take a shower, get dressed, do my make-up and grab my school things. I wake up Emma and say, “Hey, girl I’m off to school, your mom texted me and said that she’ll be on her way in about an hour you can take a shower and eat if you want love you chicky.” She says, “Okay, love you too girl.” I go downstairs and go to my car. I arrive at school and go in alone. Walking into the cafeteria, I go to the table that Breckyn and Drew are at. Breckyn says, “Hey girl where were you yesterday?” I say, “I left during 2nd HR Spanish because I wasn’t feeling very good.” She says, “Oh, well how do you feel now?” I say, “Amazing, single and happy.” She looks at me, “Single?” I say, “Yeah, I’ve had enough of men at the moment.” She says, “Okay then well Braden is waving at you to go over there so you better we’ll go with you.” I say, “Okay.” We go over there and he says, “Good morning babe.” I say, “I’m not your babe, you lied to me, you hurt me, and I’m done with all the pain and lies.” He says, “I love you.” I say, “No, you don’t because if you loved me then you wouldn’t have lied to me and hurt me.” He says, “I LOVE YOU!!” I say, “YOU LOVED ME!!” I walk off and go to class. As I’m walking to class, I think no matter how bad he hurt you, and lied to you there’s always going to be a part that won’t let go so just go back kiss him tell him your sorry and you do love him. I quickly get to class put my things at my table and run to the cafeteria, hoping that Braden’s still there. I run in and see him at the table he was at before. I run to him and kiss him. He doesn’t fight back, and so I continue to kiss him then pull away and say, “Braden, I’m so sorry, I love you, and I will love you forever and always never forget that.” I turn and start to walk away and someone grabs my arm and pulls me to them. It’s Braden, he kisses me and says, “I love you too and I’m sorry to Jade. Forever and always, together forever, never a part always love and never hate.” I smile and say, “Forever and always, together forever, never a part always love and never hate.” He kisses me again and says, “Get to class freshie.” I say, “Yes, sir.” And walk off to class smiling like a fool. I arrive into class and wait for my teacher and class mates. Matt is the first to walk in and then Bradley and Samantha behind him. They sit on the other side of the class room and we wait for class to start. When the 2nd bell rings class starts. Mr. Thomas does the morning announcements and then when he’s done Mrs. Burke says, “Free day today and tomorrow, since it’s Thursday and tomorrow is Friday.” I look over at Samantha, Bradley, and Matt. They all glare, and I just smile, stand up and say, “You know Samantha, Bradley, and Matt, I have no clue what the heck I did to you, I don’t care what I did, because all I did was try to be your friend but if that’s how you want to be fine see if I care but I’d really enjoy it if you’d stop glaring at me from the other side of the class room!!” The whole class including Mrs. Burke look at me. Mrs. Burke says, “Jade to Mr. Thomas’s office now!” I say, “Great! I’m dying to get out of this stupid school, and class maybe I’ll be suspended or just sent back to SCC where I belong.” I grab my bags and walk out. I go to Mr. Thomas’s office who is waiting for me. He says, “Wow, Jade you have a lot of nerve and guts to do what you just did. No one has ever done that and we won’t tolerate that.” I say, “I’ll admit to you yes I did that, I won’t lie and I’m sorry but I’ll call someone out, or I’ll call it how I see it and that’s exactly what I did, but you know what suspend me, sue me, send me home, call my parents whatever you want to do because I’ll take the consequences any day.” He says, “Whatever I’m calling your mom to come and get you you’re not allowed to come back to school until tomorrow it’ll give you time to cool off and me as well.” I say, “Okay.” He calls my mom and she says, “She drove to school so you can release her and let her drive home.” Mr. Thomas says, “Okay.” He signs me out and I leave school. When I arrive home, my parents are outside waiting on me. I go over to them and say, “Go ahead ground me.” My mom says, “No, what did you do?” I say, “Well, I went into class and waited for class to start, well Samantha, Bradley, and Matt sat at the other side of the room, after class started and Mrs. Burke taught us our lesson I finished early and then I looked and smiled at them and they all 3 glared at me. I stood up and told them and I quote ‘You know Samantha, Bradley, and Matt, I have no clue what the heck I did to you, I don’t care what I did, because all I did was try to be your friend but if that’s how you want to be fine see if I care but I’d really enjoy it if you’d stop glaring at me from the other side of the class room!!’ then Mrs. Burke sent me to the office and I said ‘Great I’m dying to get out of this stupid school, and class maybe I’ll be suspended or just sent back to SCC where I belong.’ Then I went to the office and Mr. Thomas said ‘Wow, Jade you have a lot of nerve and guts to do what you just did. Who did that anyways?” I say, “My friend Breckyn Steffans she gave this dress to me and these heels and then put on hers and we matched today.” My mom says, “Well, she did great and you look very beautiful today Jade, now go change and get something else on.” I say, “I’m putting my t-shirt and shorts on.” I go into the house and go up to my room. When I walk in Braden and Danielle are cuddling on MY bed. I say, “Uhm…? Hey guys why are you in my bed and Braden what are you doing here in my house?” Braden says, “Well, I left school because I had nothing in my classes after you were dismissed there were no classes so they let us leave. So I came here to check on Danielle.” I say, “Okay, but how did you know about her?” He says, “Kaitlin, and Dylan told me.” I say, “Okay, but you guys are in my room and I would like it if you could please get out I need it, Danielle I redid everything in your room I cleaned it and put a new window in, so you can go to it and cuddle with your boyfriend on your own bed please?” She gets up and so does Braden. They kiss and Danielle says, “Thank you.” I say, “No problem.” They leave my room finally, and I go over to my closet to get my clothes. I put on a KU t-shirt, KU shorts, socks and Nike slip on sandals. I go downstairs and head outside. My mom says, “Do you want your reward now or later?” I say, “What is it?” She says, “A movie and dinner with Emma.” I say, “Tomorrow since she is going to be here.” My dad says, “Fair enough this day is all yours it’s lazy or busy your choice.” I say, “I’m going to be lazy for the day.” I then go back up to my room and text Keaton. I say, “Hey, what’s up?” He says, “Nothing bored at home wbu?” I say, “Nothing bored too, LOL.” He says, “LOL.” I go up to my room and lie on my bed I then fall asleep. When I wake up I go downstairs to the kitchen where Danielle, Braden, Kaitlin, Dylan, Breckyn, Drew, Samantha, Matt, Bradley, Emma, my parents, Jacob, and Keaton were. I say, “Hey guys.” They all look at me and I say, “Okay, don’t talk to me then.” I get a cold Kick Start out of the fridge and go to my music room. I start to play my guitar and then say to myself, “No, I’m going to do something else.” I put away my guitar and get down on my knees, I fold my hands and say, “God, I’m sorry for the way I’ve been living my life I know I’ve got to change and from now on tonight I’m going to change my ways, stop and admit that I’m wrong and move on with my life. Amen.” I get up and go back downstairs. I could hear everyone in the kitchen laughing and having fun. I go back upstairs and grab my car keys and a few pairs of clothes. I leave this stuff on my bed and go to the kitchen where everyone is having fun. When I walk in they all suddenly get quiet again. I say, “Alright, this is bull crap. Why is it that I go back up to my room or leave this room, you get loud but I walk in and you get quiet, I’m getting tired of this, oh and one more thing I hope you have fun without me like you are now, I have places to be.” With that I walk out of the room and go get my clothes and keys. I walk by the kitchen where it is still quiet and walk out the door. I leave in my car and go to my grandmas. She greets me at the door and says, “Child what are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be at home?” I say, “Well, I thought I’d come visit you and stay a few days.” She says, “Okay, child let’s go on in.” I follow her in and we sit down at the table. She says, “Alright, Jade you came out here because something’s bugging you, so tell me what it is.” I collapse into a river of tears into her arms and tell her everything that has happened, and I also say, “Grandma I just want it all to end, it’s too much pain and tears and I’m fed up with it. I want it all to go away.” She says, “Child, the good ole’ Lord will get you through this. You’re strong, beautiful and only 14. You’re gonna be okay. You go home and tell every single one of them that’s happened in your life, find your voice, find your courage and make it ROAR.” I say, “Thanks grandma that was really helpful that’s exactly what I’m going to do.” She says, “That’s what I’m here for.” I smile and say, “Bye, grandma.” She says, “Remember, you have a voice, and you have courage.” I say, “I do and I’m going to use it to the best of my ability and advantage.” I leave and go home. As soon as I walk into the house I go to the kitchen and everybody was sitting quietly. I sit down and say, “Alright, people we’ve gotta talk.” My mom says, “Not now.” I say, “Why is that?” She says, “Because we are having quiet time for 5 more minutes.” I say, “I’m out.” Keaton grabs my arm and pulls me back down. I sit there with them and look at Braden who makes eye contact with me and whispers under his breath, “I love you.” I shake my head and whisper back, “No, you don’t.” I then look away from him. 5 minutes go by fast and my mom breaks the silence, “So Jade what do you want to talk about?” I tell them, “Stuff that’s important and every one of you are going to shut up and listen things are changing around here if you want to continue to be in my life.” I then tell them everything that’s happened since I started in Burlington and then I turn to Braden and say, “You don’t love me because if you did you wouldn’t continuously hurt me like you have been, if you truly love me then you’ll leave Danielle and be with me, plus Danielle you don’t deserve him, one you knew how I felt about him and you went off anyways and did it to hurt me. Kaitlin you and Dylan are fine in my book, Emma you are as well, so are you mom, dad, Keaton, Drew, Jacob, and Breckyn, but as for Braden, Danielle, Bradley, Matt and Samantha that’s a little iffy. My question is Samantha, Bradley, and Matt what did I do to you for ya’ll to glare at me in class today?” Samantha says, “You did nothing.” I say, “Then why did you glare at me in Web Comm.?” She says, “We didn’t.” I say, “Yes, you did.” She says, “Okay, well then whatever we did we’re sorry and you’re still our friend.” I say, “Works for me so you 3 are just fine in my book but still as for Braden and Danielle it’s still a little iffy.” Danielle says, “Look, I lied to you, I forced Braden into a relationship because I liked him and I was jealous of the attention he was giving to you because he liked you and I’ve liked him for 3 years.” I say, “Danielle why? Why would you ever lie to me? I’ve never ever done anything to hurt you, I’m your little sister and I love you I have never ever lied to you I’ve always been honest and I can’t believe this.” I stand up and start pacing around the kitchen and Danielle says, “I just thought you’d move on and plus your with Keaton anyways and-“ I cut her off and say, “Was with Keaton, and by the way I love Braden he even proved to me he loved me. He gave me this.” I show her my promise ring and she asks, “When was that given to you?” I say, “Yesterday.” She says, “Well, I want you to be with Braden because I want to be back with Jacob the one I really love and he probably will never want me again.” Jacob chimes in and says, “I love you too Danielle and I always will I want you back, I want you to be my wife, I’ll never hurt you and I really miss having you around.” She says, “Really?” He says, “Yes.” She jumps up and goes over to him and they kiss. I smile and say, “Well, okay everyone is fine in my book for now, I advise you people to not mess that up.” Braden gets up and comes over to me. He picks me up out of my chair and carries me to my room. He sits me down on my bed and starts kissing me. We keep kissing and he tugs on my shirt. One thing leads to another and next thing I know a warm body is laying on mine. I let this happen and then other things happen. When everything is over, I fall asleep. I wake up a few hours later and realize that Braden is lying next to me, sleeping. He’s so sweet while sleeping. I get up and go to the bathroom. I am in a t-shirt and shorts. I do my business and then go lay back down in my bed. I face Braden and close my eyes. I feel his arm wrap around me and pull me closer. I open my eyes and look at him and smile. He smiles back and says, “Hello, beautiful.” I say, “Hello.” He says, “Sleep well?” I say, “Yes, especially with you being here.” He smiles, kisses me and says, “Aww.” He let’s go of me and we get up out of the bed. We go downstairs and I go to the kitchen him following close behind me. Everyone is sitting in the kitchen at the table. I look at Emma who smiles at me and then I smile back. She winks at me so I wink back. I walk over to her and kiss her on the cheek because she’s my bestie and that’s just what we do. She hugs me and whispers in my ear, “Let’s go to the living room and turn on some music and dance around the house like fools like we used to do.” I whisper back, “Okay.” We run into the living room and turn on ‘The Show Goes On by Lupe Fiasco. Emma smacks my butt and runs so I chase her and she just had to run to the kitchen. So she goes on one side of the table and I am stuck on the other. I say, “Emma I’m going to get you back for smacking me on the butt.” She says, “Ha bring it sista.” I say, “It’s already been brought.” She says confused, “What?” I jump on the table and she runs so I jump off the table and chase her. We run around the house and she runs back in the kitchen and I smack her back finally, and suddenly fall on the floor gasping for air. Emma says, “JADE!!” She says, “James you have to call 911!” My dad calls 911 and then I go to the hospital still gasping for air. When they get me in the ambulance everything goes blurry, and the EMT says, “Jade, hey honey try and stay awake.” I try as long as I can and then suddenly everything goes black.
Braden’s POV~
Well ever since Jade moved here from SCC I thought you know that is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I love her so much. We slept together earlier and I feel that she’s my other half and that she’s the perfect person for me. I heard everything that has happened to her since she moved here to Burlington and I was like wow I feel so bad for you but I’m also so proud of Jade because she made it through all of this with an open heart and mind. I wonder how her parents feel I bet their proud as well. I know Emma and I are. When we woke up earlier we went downstairs and then her and Emma went to the living room and turned on music and started being themselves. Then they came storming into the kitchen laughing and then Jade said, ‘Emma I’m going to get you back for smacking me on the butt.’ Emma said, ‘Ha, bring it sista.’ Then Jade said, ‘It’s already been brought.’ Emma said confused, ‘What?’ Jade jumps on the table then off and chases Emma they run through the house and finally reach the kitchen again and Jade gets Emma back and then Jade collapses on the floor gasping for air. Her parents, Emma, Breckyn, Drew, Keaton, Kaitlin, Dylan, Jacob, Danielle, Matt, Samantha, Bradley, and I are on our way to the hospital behind the ambulance to make sure Jade’s okay. I really hope and pray that Jade’s okay, please Lord let her live. I need her in my life as well as the other people. We arrive at the hospital and they are pulling Jade on the stretcher into the hospital and it looks like that Jade is passed out but I can’t really tell. They take Jade in and we go in and hope that she’s okay. The receptionist at the desk says, “Who are you looking for?” James says, “Jade Sullivan that’s my daughter.” The lady says, “Her room is 45 but you have to wait outside until the doctor lets you go in.” James says, “Okay.” We all walk fast to the room and wait outside. I say while we are waiting, “All of join hands and say a prayer for Jade.” We all join hands and James leads us, “Lord, please let Jade be okay, we really need her and don’t want her to go it’s not her time we really hope and pray that she is okay, please Lord let our little girl be okay. Amen.” We all say, “Amen.” The doctor comes out and says, “Jade is going to be okay the nurses are in there at the moment, she passed out but she’s awake now and she’s going to be just fine but we are trying to run some tests and we have one back and it appears that she has asthma and she’ll be needing an inhaler from this day forward.” Heather says, “So your saying that my daughter has asthma and this is just now occurring?” The doctor says, “Yes, and we don’t know why we think she might have had it her whole life but it’s now starting to come into effect.” Heather says, “Well then okay can we go in and see her now?” The doctor says, “Yes you may.” We all walk in and then I go over to her and grab her hand. She looks at me and smiles, I say, “Don’t worry Jade, you’ll be out soon.” She says, “Braden, what happened?” I tell her everything and she says, “I remember everything up until everything went black then I woke up here in the hospital.”
Jade’s POV~
I wake up in the hospital after everything went black. I remember being at my house, sleeping with Braden, waking up hanging out with Emma, falling to the floor everything gasping for air, being put into the ambulance, everything going blurry, the EMT saying to stay awake, and then everything going black. When I wake up the doctor and nurses were talking to me and saying that I have asthma and that it just started coming into effect today, so from now on tonight I have to use an inhaler. The doctor comes into the room and says, “Ms. Sullivan good news you get to go home in 30-45 minutes then your all good to go we have to wait for the other tests to come back and we have to check you out and then you can get on with your day.” I say, “Great, that’s amazing.” I think well finally I can go home and relax in my bed, interlock fingers with Braden and cuddle with him. The doctor leaves the room and then Braden leans down and whispers in my ear, “I love you forever and always, no matter what happens.” I say, “I love you too forever and always oh and earlier today was amazing!!” He smiles and says, “It was and I hope to do it again.” I say, “Oh trust me it’s going to happen again.” He winks at me and kisses me, and says, “I love you and I’ll do whatever it takes to earn your family’s trust I promise.” I say, “Babe, they probably already do trust you unless that’s changed.” He says, “Well, I don’t really know.” I say, “Well, I don’t either but I can’t wait to get back home because I’m going to cuddle with you and interlock my fingers with yours and go to sleep.” He says, “Sounds good.” The doctor comes back in and says, “Well, Ms. Jade it is time for you to go home, if these people will kindly step out of the room for a moment we will get you situated.” They all step out of the room and the doctor unhooks all the stuff from my arms and then hands me my clothes so I can get into them and out of this tacky hospital gown. When I get my clothes back on I give the doctor the hospital gown and he says, “Alright, go meet with your family or whatever and your free to go.” I say, “Great thanks doc.” He says, “Your welcome anytime Ms. Sullivan.” I smile and then walk out of the room. I meet up with everyone and then my mom says hugging me, “Baby girl you are finally okay and your back on your feet.” I say, “I know momma and I didn’t even know I have asthma that’s new to me and now everywhere I go I’ve gotta pack an inhaler around all the time.” She says, “It’s going to be fine Jade but when we get home you need to lay down in your bed and catch some sleep your friends will be back tomorrow morning, when you awake I will call them and let them know that you’re up.” I say, “Okay momma sounds good.” We leave the hospital and head home. When we get there, Braden carries me up to my room and tucks me in and everything then kisses me and hugs me and says, “I love you babe. Sweet dreams. Remember forever and always, together forever, never a part, always love and never hate.” I say, “I love you too, Braden, forever and always, together forever, never a part, always love and never hate.” He smiles and says, “Get some sleep the others, and I will be back tomorrow when you get up, again I love you very much.” I say, “Okay, and I love you too very much babe.” He leaves the room and I go to sleep.
Breckyn’s POV~
Well now that Jade is okay, safe and sound in her bed we can all be at rest without worrying if she’s going to die or not and especially me. I am happy that she can finally be safe and I’m excited to come spend the day with her tomorrow. I have so much in mind.
Jade’s POV~
A few hours later I wake up and check the time. It’s 1:30 in the morning. I grab a pair of clean clothes, a bag I put some socks, shoes, clothes, brushes, hair ties, headbands, and some other stuff in it. I grab my car keys a pencil and paper and write, “Dear mom, dad, sisters, friends, and Braden, I love you very much but I think the world out there is calling my name. I am going to go out and see what kind of things, and people I can find before it’s too late, if you have any questions I have a phone, Facebook, Twitter, Tango, Face Time, and Snapchat. When you read this please don’t freak out because I will keep you updated, don’t file any missing police reports, or amber alerts or anything like that okay. When I make it to my destination I will make sure to call you. I just want to go out there and find myself, I wanna find the real me, and find out who I really am. Sincerely, Jade Kay Sullivan (Sullie).” I grab my things and put the note on the counter in the kitchen and quietly I sneak out the door. I get in my car and leave. I drive through Burlington, then New Strawn, and then keep going until I get to Kansas City. When I arrive there I stop and ask directions on how to get to St. Louis MO. I then get told and then I am on my way there. By the time I get there it’s almost 6:30 my parents will be waking up in about 30 minutes to an hour. I stop at a hotel and stay there for a while so I can catch some sleep. I lie down on the bed and realize I can’t sleep. I get on my phone and look at pictures of me and my family, and Braden and all my friends from SCC and Burlington. I start to cry because I miss them but I have to find myself, I have to find who I really am and I’m still learning I mean I’m only 14 but I still need to find out what’s out there for me to see and I think that God says to me, “Jade it’s your time to see the world and see who you really are go out there and find who you are.” So I’m following my heart and God’s words. I continue to look at pictures then I am suddenly engulfed in a river of tears. I then fall asleep crying. Later on I wake up and look at the time it’s been 2 ½ hrs. so I’m good to go. I get out of the bed and go to the bathroom. I look at myself in the mirror and say 3 things that I like about myself to boost my confidence. I say, “Your smart, your beautiful, and you’re going to make it in this world.” I smile and then do my business. When I’m done with that I see the ring on my right ring finger that Braden gave me and I smile. I miss him so much but I need to keep moving I decide to leave the ring on but I still have to move on and keep going because if I don’t then I’ll never know who I am. I look at my phone and I have a text from my dad, “Jade!! Where are you because we’re coming to get you.” I say back, “Sorry dad but I have to find myself, and that’s that if you wanna know where I am at just stalk my Facebook, or just track my phone whatever you have to do but I’m not telling you where I’m at because I need time. I’ll be flying out to California in 2 hrs. let’s just say that.” With that I send the message and check out of the hotel and go to KCI airport. I pay for a plane ticket. While I wait for my plane to be ready I get a text from my mom, “Jade, baby girl if you’re looking for yourself out there then just come home.” I ignore the text message and get on the plane because it’s ready. I put my items up on the thing for luggage and ten sit down in my seat. A guy gets on the plane looks about my age or a little older comes over to my seat and says, “Excuse me, Ms. Is this seat open?” I say, “Yes.” He says, “May I?” I say, “Yes sir you may.” He sits next to me and holds out his hand and says, “Landon Fisher.” I say, “Jade Sullivan, age 14.” He says, “I’m age 15, so Ms. Sullivan where you headed?” I say, “Huntington Beach California and you?” He says, “Same here, I am going there because well I think God said it was my time to go and venture the world and I’m doing what my heart says to do. What’s your reasoning?” I say, “I just want to find myself, find the real me before it’s too late, God told me that it was time to go out there and find me, and I left my friends, and family a note and then just left.” Landon says, “Well, do you want to do this together and see what we can find together?” I say, “That would one be helpful and 2 yes I’d love too because at least I know I’m not alone.” He says, “Okay sounds great better catch some sleep we got a 6-7hr flight.” I say, “Okay.” I close my eyes and think about Braden and my family and friends. I slowly but surely begin to fall asleep. A while later I wake up and Landon is gone, his things and mine are still up on the luggage holder but he’s missing. I just try to relax and then I see him walking out of the bathroom and I let out a sigh of relief. He sits back down and says, “Sleeping beauty is finally awake we still have 30-45 minutes.” I say, “Wow that was fast.” He says, “Yeah, yeah it was.” I sit back and relax still thinking about Braden, my friends and my family. I pull out my phone and I have 28 text messages. They were from Braden, Keaton, Breckyn, Drew, Kaitlin, Jacob, Danielle, my parents and Dylan. I think wow they really do care about me and they must really miss me. I think, “No, you have to keep moving, though you love them and miss them you need to find yourself find who you are.” I continue to say this to myself and not being able to bare it no longer I call Braden. He answers, “Hello?” I say, “Hey babe.” He says, “JADE, Babe you’re okay!!” I say, “Yeah I’m fine Braden, they didn’t tell you did they?” He says, “No, they didn’t where are you? I want you to come home Jade, I miss you and I want to be able to run my fingers through your hair, hear your voice, feel your soft warm white skin, tell you I love you every hour of the day every day, cuddle with you, talk to you and tell you how I feel, hold your hand, love you better than ever before, and kiss you whenever I want to and if you’re looking for your future and yourself come home to me and your family and our friends.” I start to cry, and say, “I’m on my way to Cali right now and when I get there I will fly home in a few days just give me some time away then I’ll be home back in your warm arms and then you can love me however you want to.” He says, “That’s fine, but one thing please?” I say, “Yeah?” “Be careful. Stay safe, and be good.” I say, “Always, and you keep me on your mind and in your prayers and I’ll do the same for all of you.” He says, “Not a problem I love you.” I say, “I love you too Braden Jae Collins.” I hang up and stop crying. I tell Landon everything and he says, “Same here I’m doing the exact same because I honestly believe that the real me is in Burlington where I belong.” I say, “Your from Burlington?” he says, “Yeah are you?” I say, “Yeah, I’m a freshman at the high school.” He says, “Wow, me to but I’ve never seen you around except that one time in the theatre when you sang.” I say, “I never seen you around either.” He says, “That’s why I recognized you from somewhere.” I laugh and say, “Well, we’re almost to Cali so I’m ready to go spend a few days in Huntington Beach and then I’m flying home because honestly maybe myself is in that whole town or state but I just don’t see it.” He says, “Yeah same here but we are only freshman and sophomore so we are still learning and trying to figure that out.” I say, “Yeah that’s true.” We finally land in Huntington Beach and I say to Landon, “Hey I think I’m going to do this alone for a couple of days.” He says, “Yeah me to I’ll see you around Burlington and school right?” I say, “Yes, of course see you back home.” He says, “See you back home.” We split and I decide only a few hours and I’m going home. I check my money and realize I have plenty to fly back home so instead I go get another plane ticket and get back on a plane and head back to KS. I pass out on the plane and then wake up 10 minutes before we get to KCI. I get off the plane find my car and head home to Burlington because I miss my friends, family, and Braden way to much to do this. I get into Burlington 2-3hrs later and pull quietly into my driveway. I get out of the car and sneak into the house. I hear everyone laughing and Braden, “Wow, I miss Jade and all these memories of her make me miss her even more.” I go to the kitchen doorway quietly and say, “Babe you don’t have to miss me anymore because I’m not leaving anymore.” They all look up and Braden’s the first out of his chair and in front of me. He kisses me and then picks me. I say, “You guys I think myself really is here and I realized as soon as I got to Huntington Beach California I’m only a freshman and I’m still learning. The real me is out there but I will wait to find her.” Braden says, “Jade, babe that’s the problem the real you isn’t out there she’s right here in my arms. I’m looking at the real you.” I smile and say, “You really think so?” He says, “No, I know so.” I kiss him and hug everybody else and say, “I’m sorry guys that I worried you and made you miss me so much.” They say, “It’s okay the good thing is that you’re here now and that you’re okay.” I say, “Yeah that’s true. So who’s up for a little basketball?” They all laugh and Emma says, “Me but I get Jade on my team.” I say, “Girls vs. boys.” Drew says, “Bet chicky boys we gonna stomp them.” I say, “We’ll see about that remember I play basketball and I’ve played for about 9 years okay.” Keaton says, “Remember we’re seniors we’ve played longer than that.” I say, “That don’t make you better than us.” Keaton says, “Let’s do this.” Emma says, “Bet.” I look at Emma grab my KU basketball and go outside. They all follow me and Breckyn says, “Alright let’s hit the park and then that’s where we will play.” I say, “Last one there is a rotten egg and ya’ll better jog.” I take of running and dribbling the ball. I look over my shoulder and everyone is closely behind me. I sprint the rest of the way leaving the others in the dust. I get to the park and go over to the court. I stretch a little bit before they get there. When they get there they stretch a little bit and then Emma says, “Boys and girls you ready for this?” I say, “Heck ya I am alright boys let’s hit this.” Dylan and Braden say, “Bring it on ladies.” I laugh and say, “Okay here goes nothing.” My dad and I do the jump I hit the ball over to Kaitlin. She dribbles through her legs and I run over to the empty space and say, “Kaitlin here I’m open!!” Dylan is blocking her and she throws me the ball. I catch it and then shoot the ball from the 3 line. I say, “Girls 3, boys 0.” My dad rebounds the ball and goes to the other end of the court. I catch up and as he’s jumping to shoot I jump in front of him and then block the ball. I hit the ball over where my mom and Samantha are. My mom grabs the ball and sprints to the other end of the court and does a layup it goes right in and then I say, “Girls 5, boys 0.” The game goes on and then as I am running down the court I twist my ankle and fall on my face. My ankle in so much pain and Matt says, “Hey guys stop!! Jade fell.” I hear all of the footsteps running towards me and I am in so much pain. Amanda says, “Hey sis you okay?” I shake my head no and then lift my head up. Jacob says, “Uhm…guys her nose is bleeding bad.” I look down at the ground where there is a big pile of blood. I turn over on my back very cautiously and slowly. I move my ankle and scream in pain. My mom says, “Guys it’s her leg or foot.” I shake my head no and start to cry. I say crying, “No, I was running and fell on my face because my ankle suddenly twisted. Ouch this hurts so much.” Braden scoops me up in his arms carefully and says, “We have to get her to the hospital.” I say, “Yeah, and quickly.” I go to the hospital and realize that I have a broken ankle. Weeks go by and it is time to get this cast off. After the cast is taken off I am so happy, so are the others. Braden is so happy that he wants to get married. We get engaged and 3 years later we’re married. When we get to college we discuss graduating and then having a family. 4 years later we graduate college and then have a beautiful little daughter.
