At the Bottom of This Mason Jar

Delaney had grown up amongst the trees and the wilderness, and as she watched her son try to catch the quick-swimming minnows in the creek with his bare hands, she knew that this was where they truly belonged. This was where they'd belonged all along.

And the longer she watched Mason, the more she began to realize how much he needed that someone to teach him how to fish, how to throw a decent spiral, how to drive a stick-shift. He needed someone to show him all of the things that his mother couldn’t.
