Castlyn grew up practicing with swords among the village boys, and secretly practicing the magic that she had. Growing up her mother would tell her stories of her father; a brave knight who died in battle a hero, but on the eve her eighteenth birthday her mother told her the truth. Her mother fell in love with the prince of Kilborn, Kaston, and he bedded her but told her to leave the Kingdom when she bore child.
