Story set post-Dark World. Loki is King of Asgard. Thor is in Midgard with his mortals and the Avengers. Frigga is dead, and Odin, distraught by the death of his beloved queen, has disappeared, his location unknown by all, save for Heimdall. Loki is working to redeem himself for his kingdom, repairing the damage the Dark Elves have done while mourning for the loss of his mother. In the wake of recovering from the previous war, Loki discovers something in Jotunheim while searching for a special crystal-a woman he thought was lost to him.
