Just Keep Waiting

1/1

The night you told me you had to go away again it was snowing. Not light flurries but hard, big snowflakes that would stick to the ground. The weatherman already reported a full on blizzard. Of course nothing was ever going to stop you from doing what you wanted. Regardless of consequences.

It was mid December and it had been snowing for the past few days now that I think about it.The car windows had to be scraped every morning before you could leave for work. I begged you not to go this time. I told you it was too dangerous. I told you I wanted you here with me. You left nonetheless and told me to just keep waiting. I obeyed you, you were stubborn once you came to a decision.

That was three years ago, I'm still waiting.

Once again, this is a very rough draft. I'm trying to figure out where I could improve. This is a drabble and will not be beyond 600 words.
