She's a Lady

Bella’s POV
I screamed in joy when I saw TJ’s last name on one of the little skaters, but lowered my voice when I realized James was asleep in my room.

“Thank god”

I nodded and smiled texting TJ congrats. I made my way over to the kitchen where Eric was.

“Get the portraits will you? They literally just came”

I raised an eyebrow and I followed his gaze. I saw the big envelope and walked over to it and got it. I made my way over to the dining table and opened the envelope. I smiled when I lifted the first picture.

“This one came out good” I said.

Eric looked at me and made his way over. He looked at the picture and nodded. It was a picture of Adam lifting Lisa, both of them dressed in their Ralph Lauren Olympic clothes. They were smiling at each other and by the looks of it this picture was taken during one of their lifts.

“Aww he looks adorable” I cooed.

Eric laughed and took the picture from me. It was a picture of him just by himself and he was smiling, it was a sincere smile considering I knew his fake smile. We looked through more and I heard noise in my room and then knocking on the door. Eric put the pictures away as I made my way over to the door. I opened the door and smiled.

“What can I do for you?”

Pascal grinned at me.

“You can stop being a weenie and be at my surgery”

I rolled my eyes and let him, Sidney and Geno inside.

“Is James still asleep?”

I shook my head when I heard the shower running.

“Nah he’s showering” I said.

“Where’s little one?”

“Adam is upstairs puking, he had a little to much wine” I said.

They laughed and Eric chuckled.

“Don’t tell our parents that because they will kill us, we forget he could drink a lot and easily get shit faced”

“Why didn’t your parents come?”

“They went on a cruise”

“Nice, got them away for a while?

I smiled and they took a seat on the couch.

“Beau and Borts?”

“They were up a while ago. Came and ate some left overs and made their way back outside”

I helped Pascal sit down and he looked at me.

“So are you?”

“I kind of have to, I got yelled at by Dr. Leonard for saying no” I said.

He patted my arm and smiled up at him.

“That’s the spirit!”

I rolled my eyes but smiled at him. The door to my room opened and James walked out. He gave them all a tired look and then looked at me.

“I’m really hungry Bella”

He made his way over to the kitchen as he waved at the guys.

“It’s late, of course you’re hungry”

He looked at Eric and reached for a plate.

“How’s Adam? I heard him puke his brains out a while ago”

Eric chuckled and nodded.

“The boy is fine”

We turned to see Adam holding his head. He looked clammy, tired, and hangover.

“I am not, I’m never drinking again”

“I said that too” I said.

Eric laughed and looked at me.

“That’s cause you got shitfaced Bella that one time”

I winked at him and took a sip of my water.

“And I went to class like that the next day. I was fine I just needed to avoid sunlight though” I said.

Adam shook his head as he looked at me.

“And you were younger than me”

I rolled my eyes.

I had my first alcohol experience in med school when I turned 21. I was always taking care of the idiots I call friends. Speaking of idiots” I said noticing Chris and Jas walking in.

“Afternoon why are you two out of bed?”

“Mel went to get us out”

Jas pushed her hair back and Geno smiled at her.

“I no congratulate you last night, so happy new years and congrats on engagement”

“Aww thanks Geno”

She hugged Geno and he patted Chris shoulder to which Chris just smiled and nodded. Jas now had an engagement ring on her ring finger, and everyone would be getting married soon and moving out. Well at least they were, they were going to find a house to buy.

Sidney looked at me and smiled.

“I thought you were drunk last night?”

I rolled my eyes and smiled.

“I was not” I said walking into the kitchen.

“She actually was and she still managed to walk in those death traps she calls heels”

I heard Sidney laugh and I looked at James. He pecked my lips and snaked his arms around me.

“So who made the team?”

“Brooks and Pauly made the team” I said looking up at him.

He nodded and looked down at me.

“Patty and Oshie made it as well” I said.

“That’s good anyone you wanted to make the team?”

“Bobby Ryan but I guess things happen for a reason” I said.

He nodded and I smiled.

“Excited?” I asked him.

He gave me a smile and shrugged.

“I know I didn’t make that team”

I frowned.

“Why do you say that?” I asked.

“Cause Toews is in it. He probably made sure of it”

I rolled my eyes.

“He’s a child” I said rubbing his sides.

He laughed and looked down at me.

“They’re making an all star team” I said shaking my head.

He raised an eyebrow and Sidney looked at me.

“They’ll probably blame that incident”

James sighed and nodded.

“Fuck them. They can lose” I said.

James laughed and Sidney looked appalled

“Fuck you too”

Sidney looked at my brother and I started laughing when I heard
“OH MAMA DON’T YOU CRY! USA HOCKEY IS DO OR DIE”

He continued the chant and James looked at me.

“So Sid when will they tell you that you’re captain?” I asked him.

He looked at me and I smiled.

“I don’t want Toews to be Captain. On second thought I’d rather hate him than you” I said.

Eric nodded in agreement and looked at him.

“Your picture is getting a nice X on it during the olympics”

Sidney laughed and I laughed when I heard.

“WE JUST KICKED YOU’RE FUCKING ASS”

“Did he chant it all?”

“Yes” I told Sidney.

Xxplosive began playing upstairs and I bobbed my head to the beat.

“You guys are so weird doesn't he have a hangover?”

“Yes, but he’s an idiot” I said.

They laughed and Eric looked at me.

“Set up in the back so we can eat”

I nodded and James stood up.

“I’ll help”

I nodded and followed him outside. He started laughing when Hypnotize began playing

“That’s true rap right there James” I told him.

The chorus hit and I began singing. He laughed and pulled me into a hug.

“My brothers love Notorious BIG” I said.

“I can see”

The song changed and he laughed When California Love began playing. I began singing it and he laughed. The window opened and Beau stuck his head out and began singing. James laughed as Adam opened his window and did the same.

“California! Knows how to party!”

Sidney peaked his head out and he laughed when he saw Beau. Beau looked at Adam when Check Yo Self began playing.

“Dude you need to put music into my phone”

“Can you guys lower that?”

Adam looked at Rob and smiled as he raised the volume.

“Adam lower the volume” I told him.

He frowned and lowered the volume. He stopped his music when Eric told them to come eat. I laughed when California Gurls began playing. James winked at me and I rolled my eyes.

“Our song!”

Jas ran out and began singing and dancing. Eric shook his head and he laughed when I joined Jas and her little dance.

“Ok you guys let’s eat”

I nodded and Beau walked over.

“I didn’t know you guys were into this music! They make fun of me”

I looked at Sidney.

“You listen to nickleback don’t you?”.

Everyone started laughing as Adam smiled at him.

“There is nothing wrong with them!”
