"Jack, I haven't noticed how skinny you've gotten." Joe said softly as he walked over to where I was and sat down on the edge of the bath tub.
"Is it really that noticeable?" I said, lip quivering slightly.
Joe sighed and placed his hand on my bare back and ran his fingers up and down. I took note of how I could feel his fingers go 'thump thump thump' on the bones.
"Yes, Jack, it is. I'm not sure how Alex hasn't even noticed yet. Jack... Can I ask you something?" Joe said carefully.
I bit my lip and nodded as I stood up to turn on the shower.
"You're not... You're not starving yourself are you?"
