Merry Christmas, Kiss My Ass.

Instead this dark December, I'm all alone and colder than I've ever been.

Vic was lying in his bed, eyes locked on the wall, another year had passed, and he was still alone. His eyes roamed the dark room he way lying in, and they landed on a photograph.

It was of Kellin, and him.

He sucked in a heavy breath, and got up. He walked over to the shelf the image rested on, and picked it up. His eyes locked on Kellin’s happy face, and he felt his heart surge with love. All he wanted to do was see the pale boy again. Even though he was still in love with him, he was still angry, and he wanted to get over it.

He set the photograph down, and pulled his phone out of his back pocket. He typed in his passcode, and scrolled through his contacts. He wasn’t sure if he still had Kellin’s number on his phone, but he hoped he did. When he found it, he couldn’t help but grin sadly.

He pressed the dial button, and placed the phone up to his ear. The Mexican paced while he waited for Kellin to answer.

“Hello?” He heard that familiar voice answer.

Vic felt his heart rate pick up, and he nervously responded. “Hey Kellin.”

Vic heard Kellin suck in a sharp breath. “Uh, hi Vic, what do you want?”

Vic swallowed the lump in his throat, and gathered the courage to ask Kellin his question. “I want to see you; y’know put all of the drama behind us.” Vic rambled.

Kellin paused, and couldn’t hide the joy he felt rising in his chest, he was glad Vic was finally willing to forgive him, and move on. “Sure thing Vic, where do you want to meet? And what date? Time?” Kellin asked excitedly.

Vic was shocked by Kellin’s response because of what he had done to the pale boy last year. “Uhm, Christmas Eve? Around two? Just downtown, they’ll have all the lights up.” Vic suggested.

“Sounds like a plan!” Kellin beamed brightly. “I’ll see you then..” He grinned. “Bye Vic.”

When Kellin hung up, Vic released a sigh of relief.

He was finally going to see Kellin again.

Going to work the next morning was killer for Vic; he just wanted it to be Christmas Eve. Kellin had consumed his thoughts ever since he had made that phone call.

The Mexican grabbed his coffee, and headed out the door. He headed into the music shop he worked at, and went behind the counter to run the register. Luckily, he got out early that afternoon.

When he got home, he went straight to bed. He was exhausted, and he wanted to be happy, and cheerful for when he saw Kellin. If he didn’t sleep, he’d be a huge ass, and he didn’t want to shatter things between him and Kellin any further.

After lying in bed with his eyes wide open, he grabbed his phone and checked the time. It was only nine at night. He sighed in annoyance, and tossed is phone on to the dresser.

“God, I just want it to be tomorrow..” He huffed, and forced his eyes shut.

Kellin was nervous about tomorrow, and it was keeping him up. He took a few sleeping pills, and reluctantly climbed back into bed. He tossed and turned for about an hour, and eventually fell asleep.

When he woke up the next morning, he was awakened by his alarm clock blasting its irritating sounds in his left ear. The pale boy groaned, and slammed his fist down on the small device. The sounds faltered, and he sat up in bed.

“Ugh, I’ve got three hours to get ready.” He groaned, and shuffled into his small kitchen. He made a cup of coffee, and ate a piece of toast.

When he was done with his coffee, and morning breakfast, he walked back to his bedroom, and climbed into the shower. It took him awhile to get ready that morning, and when he was finally done he only had a half hour to meet Vic on time.

The pale boy dashed out his door, and ran as fast as he could. He rounded a
corner, and nearly knocked over an elderly woman. “Sorry!” He called over his shoulder as he ran, the woman glared at him, and continued on her way.

He sped up, and crashed into someone. He landed directly on top of the stranger, and felt his cheeks heat up in embarrassment.

“Sorry.” Kellin apologized.

“Its fine, Kells...” He heard a familiar voice say.

Vic wasn’t expecting to meet Kellin by being run into, but he was glad to see him.
Kellin got off of Vic, and brushed the dirt off of his jeans, and then offered a hand to help Vic up.

The Mexican took the pale boys hand, and slowly rose to his feet.

“Thanks.”

“No problem.” Kellin nodded once.

He couldn’t help but grin at the taller boy. “Uh, how have you been Kellin?” He asked, feeling somewhat awkward being in his ex’s presence. Things had been nasty between them before, and now Vic felt odd.

Kellin shrugged his shoulders gently. “Good, I suppose. And how have you been?”

Vic decided he’d be honest. “Alright, but not amazing.” He responded.

“Oh.” The pale boy murmured, still feeling guilty about cheating on Vic two years ago. For some odd reason he found himself missing their relationship, and the love Vic had shown him. It had definitely been his longest lasting relationship. After Matty dumped him, he had a few casual flings, and decided to just stay single.

Vic swallowed, and shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans. “Erm, do you want to grab a coffee, and catch up?” He offered. “I’ll buy.”

Kellin smiled softly. “Sure, are you sure you want to pay though?” He asked.

“Yeah, I’ve got the cash on me, and I’m in the mood to be nice to you.” He joked.

Kellin chuckled. “Just don’t punch me..”

“I won’t..” Vic promised with a laugh, and the two boys walked into the coffee shop.
