Try for Me.

Moving in.

Tired of the constant reminders of how Jace treated me, due to Aiden continuously calling for information, I turned my phone off. The next few days consisted of getting my dorm ready for me, and I was not allowed to see it until it was done, as my mom put it. Although she didn't like my attention being on Jace, she also didn't like seeing her daughter go through her first heart break.

"Sweetie, are you ready to go to your dorm now?" My mom questions, biting her bottom lip.

"Yeah," I crawl out of bed. I slipped a beanie on my head, skinny jeans, and left my baggy shirt on.

"You are going to shower, right?" she gulps, at which I shake my head. I grab my back pack, and my duffel bag. The last of my items to go with me to school.

"Not really," I shrug, pushing past her. My make up was faded completely from the past few days of not washing it off, or doing anything with it. I look like a mess.

"Can I come too?" Nikki questions, hopping down the stairs.

"No, sweetie. Only V can go," our mom politely declines, kissing Nikki's head.

"I love you sis, and you should ugh, least go on messenger so I can talk to you," Nikki calls. I wave behind my back and continue out to the car. It wasn't Nikki's fault, but I felt if she would have just left it alone, then I would still be happily with Jace. Instead I ruined a good thing by being pushy with him.

"You need to get out of this funk, Viv," mom scolds, as she buckled her seat belt and took off. I stare out the window in silence. "Seriously, Vivian. Come on."

"What mom?" I shrug. "I'm not with him anymore, be happy."

"This isn't healthy," she spat.

"Nothing ever is," I whisper.

"Damn it, Vivian!" She screams, but I continue to sulk.

"Thanks for the ride," I get out, grab my stuff and go to the office.

"Well hello dear," the lady greets. "Name?"

"Vivian," I reply. She sifts through the paperwork and finds mine.

"Here you go, want me to call anyone to escort you?" she questions.

"That's all I need right now," I whisper. I vaguely remember Aiden's tour and would wing it myself.

"Are you okay?" she continues. Just let it go lady.

"Thanks," I wave and head to the dorm building. I stand in the elevator and push my floor, waiting. Once there, I walk down the hall and glance at all the numbers.

"Excuse you," some chick growled, pushing past me.
"Oh you must be new." Without a word, I continued walking.
"Well fine don't introduce yourself."

"Have a good day," I mutter. She was already being bitchy, and I am in no mood to deal with that right now. I found my room, unlocked it with my key, and went inside. Two beds, awesome.

"Hi, you must be my roommate!" The girl squealed, smiling at me.

"Hi," I politely reply. I didn't need my roommate to hate me also.
"I'm Vivian."

"Awesome, I'm Noelle," she retorts, shaking my hand.
"Are you nervous for this year too?"

"Just a little," I honestly reply.

"Same, I didn't even want a dorm, so sorry if I seem out of place," she apologies.

"You don't have to tell me," I chuckle. "I'm in the same boat."

"Misery loves company," she giggles. "Nice touch with the divider."

"My parents," I mutter.

"Either way, it's more privacy, and I like that," she nods. The dorm had a small kitchen, little table for two, a couch, TV, and one room with a half bathroom; which consists of just a toilet. It was like a cheap hotel, but nicer. "Well, I'm going to the pool."

"Have fun," I wave and she nods before skipping out. I sat on my bed and glanced around the room. It was nice having that little wall divider thing that you can fold up if you want in the middle, gives me a little more privacy. At the end of my bed is a small table for me, at which I set my laptop up. I should really talk to my sister.
