Try for Me.

Started my period.

Too much to drink on an empty stomach lead for a horrible headache, and speaking of my brain I could not for the life of me remember where the hell I was. My eyes slowly opened in the darkened room, I heard snoring from the other side of the room and saw Seth and Noelle. I felt something wrapped over me and realized my hands are entwined with Aiden's. Great.

"Hmm," Aiden stirred so I remained still. I felt a gush in my vaginal area and knew I needed to get to the bathroom, so I swiftly removed his arm and rushed to the bathroom. I sat on the toilet and sure enough it was gushing out, the first day was always the worst for me. I let out a sigh, examining my underwear and pants. No leakage. Thankfully.

"Ugh," I groan, the headache wasn't too bad but I felt very drained. Anger couldn't begin to express my emotions as I wiped, changed my pad after finding a new one in Noelle's bag that is on the counter, and let out a deep breath. I saw her supply of tampons and pondered if I should put one in as well, ugh I hate being female sometimes.

"You okay?" I heard a light knock and Noelle's faint voice.

"Yeah," I call back, and washed my hands. Opening the door to reveal a very giddy Noelle.

"So," she bit her bottom lip and quirked a brow.

"No," I dryly decline. She pouts.

"Why wont you guys just date! Imagine the wonderful double dates, oh my gosh!" She whined.

"Stop," I demand, taking a couple of ibuprofen I found on the counter in the kitchen.
"I feel like shit."

"You downed shots like no tomorrow," she giggled.
"To avoid confessing your feelings."

"There is nothing to confess, Noelle, please stop," I beg. Noelle scoffed at me as I collected my things, which was my phone and headed out.

"You're not going to wait for them to wake up? What did you guys hook up?" Noelle questions, perking at the idea.

"I started my rag and I'm skipping class today, using a sick day," I snarl, closing the door on her.

My walk was swift and quiet. The dorm was silent and I began to wonder what time it really was, I turn my phone screen on and groaned. Six forty in the morning, what the heck. I rub my temples and wait for the elevator. It opens and a surprised Jace stands before me.

"Vivian?" He asks, stepping aside. I casually walked inside, pushed my floor number and leaned against the wall. "Dare I ask?"

"No," I groan. "I'm miserable."

"What happened?" He furrowed his brows, his eyes examining my appearance. I couldn't tell him I was drinking on campus, so I had to indulge in other information.

"I started my period," I hissed.

"That's all?" He chuckled, he reached into his messenger bag and handed me a Hershey's.
"Here, it'll help you feel better. Oh and this." A bag of extra butter popcorn.

"Thanks," I took them both and chewed my lip.
"I really appreciate this."

"No problem," he smiled typing in his phone. I raise my brows and looked away.

"So," I start but the elevator dings and doors open.

"So," he chuckled and I exited the elevator.

"See you around," I mutter. The doors closed and I turned on my heel. Again the halls are deathly quiet as everyone slept, until blasting of everyone's alarm clocks started at once echoing the halls. I hurried into my dorm, locked the door and rushed to bed, I was tired.

...

I slept the day away with zero shame. I woke up the next day and grabbed my showering supplies, luckily today is Friday and there is no class. Since I skipped yesterday, and Wednesday was homework day, today I would do the homework I was supposed to do instead of drinking.

"Hello loser," Noelle entered the room with a grin, she examined me in my studies and laughed.
"Come on, get ready."

"For?" I groan, looking over my shoulder at her.

"Aiden's," she said matter of factly.
"Don't tell me you are not going."

"I'm not going," I repeat with a shrug, checking my phone.

"Why the hell not?" She snarled, brows furrowed.

"I'm thinking about going home, I miss my parents and siblings," I tell her.

"Lame," she smacks her lips.
"Very lame."

"Thank you," I genuinely thank with a smile.
"Means I'm back on track."

"To what?" She peeks over my shoulder.

"To my boring life I once lead," I never imagined I would ever admit I miss the boring life.

"Gross," she looks at her nails then sighed.
"Fine, I'll fly solo. But you better not ditch out next weekend, kay?"

"I probably will," I warn and closed my books. Noelle rolled her eyes and left. I checked my phone and grinned wisely at the text my mom sent saying she was out in the parking lot. I snatched my alien hoodie and rushed out.

The elevator opened and I immediately ran in, bumping a couple of girls.

"Watch where you're go- oh, it's you," the red head spat.
"Headed to Aiden's also?"

"No," I dryly reply, staring at the ceiling.

"Hmm," she smacks her lips.
"Good, means I don't have to deal with you."

"Since when have you had to deal with me?" I jerk my head in her direction, confused as hell.
"I don't even know who you are."

"Excuse-" she starts as her friends started laughing.

"She doesn't even know you," the one howled. I almost felt bad for the red head.

"Well, whatever," she stammers.
"Aiden talks about you, Seth and Noelle."

"Oh," I mouth, tapping my legs. The doors open and I was the first to rush out. I ran to my mom's car knocking into someone else. His stuff fell all over the place and that all too familiar red hair flashed in front of me.

"Gee," he laughed when our eyes connected.
"Oh, Vivi."

"V! My goodness, I am so sorry, she doesn't watch where she's going," my mom apologized sending me a look. I sheepishly smile, my face feeling hot. "Oh, hello."

"Hi," he extends a hand and they shake.
"I'm Vivian's counselor."

"Oh, no wonder she doesn't come home often," my mom quirked a brow and giggled.
"I am Vivian's mother."

"Mom," I whine, face palming.

"Ha, ha," Jace nervously laughs.

"Well, we should get going," I nervously break the awkward silence that arose. Jace smiled with a nod.

"Yes, I should also, I'm late." Late? I stared at his phone as he checked it and looked back to us.
"Have a wonderful weekend ladies."

"Oh, you too, Counselor. What are your plans anyways?" My mom is such a nosy individual, a busy body if you will.

"Dinner with my parents actually, they're in town, and they're meeting my-" he stopped, my heart skipped.

"Your?" I continued, which caused my mom to give me a look.

"Oh, sorry, I have to answer this. Good day," he was faking a call. I narrowed my eyes as my mom placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Are you okay?" She laughs.

"Yes," I shrug her off and smiled.

"You're lying," she teased.

"Why does everyone say that," I whisper under my breath.
"Yeah, just everyone wonders who he's seeing that's all."

"Oh? Everyone? Or just a particular hormonal teenager?" She giggled.

"Mom, I'm his student, whatever, he's my counselor, no. I mean, he's young enough, I guess, but what, no," I stutter and got in the car to break her gaze.

"Do you want to tell me something?" She was concerned now, apparently this joking was becoming reality and I could tell my mom wasn't liking it.

"Mom, I started my period," I inform and she immediately opened her mouth into a big O.

"That explains the weirdness, my apologies dear," she touched my chin then started the car and we were off.
