Try for Me.

Make me an offer.

"Aiden," I call, lightly knocking on his door.

"Go away, V," his voice quietly rejected. I let out a sigh.

"Please?" I ask, pressing my forehead against the door. My body felt heavy due to the liquor but yet again, he declined. I let out a frustrated growl, I can't seem to win, with Aiden or Jace. I closed my eyes tightly, and laid down.

...

"Did you seriously sleep here?" Aiden interrupted my sleep, my heavy eyelids slowly opened as a pounding formed in the back of my head. I stretched with a wince as my body ached.

"I guess, I did," I mutter more to myself. Aiden extended his hand at which I slowly accepted, and with a swift pull I bounced to my feet. "Are you mad at me?"

"A little," he shrugs.
"Not really."

"So do you want to talk about it then?" I was hesitant, planning every word carefully so that I didn't end up pissing him off again. Aiden let out a sigh, his beautiful grey eyes scanning my Dr Pepper ones.

"I already told you what you wanted to hear, and kept my end of the bargain," he dryly said before doing an about face and went back in his room. I stood there, mouth agape. Did that really just happen?

"No," I shook my head stalking after him.
"Hell no."

"Go away, Vivian," he spat, packing his things.

"I am done letting you call the damn shots," I snap. Aiden stopped moving, then slowly turned his chin towards me as if to gesture that he is listening. "I am sick of not knowing, of thinking people care and finding out they don't, and I am just sick of this drastic change in my life ever since we fucking moved. I am so sick of you telling me weird hints, then promises, and being an asshole to being sweet, to whatever the fuck it is you are doing right now. I. Am. Done."

"Okay," his voice was quiet, menacing. I narrow my eyes.

"Okay?" I repeat, he shrugs.
"Seriously."

Aiden pursed his lips together then made a pop sound with his tongue, and another shrug.

"Fine," I threw my hands up and went to the door connecting our rooms.
"But don't go back pouting this time."

"Excuse you?" He growls, I smile an even more menacing smile like the movie Maleficent with Angelina Jolie. I quickly rose my brows and stalked off into my room.

...

"Alright, I am-" Aiden entered my room and paused, looking around. I sat on my bed with a drink in hand, flipping through a book I brought. I glance up at him with my brows raised.

"What?" I reply, sipping my drink.

"You didn't pack your duffel?" He observes, glancing around.

"And?" I scoff, returning my attention to my book.

"I'm packed," he brought up as if I cared.

"Okay, bye," I wave him off.

"We are leaving," he said as if he actually spoke for me.

"I am not, I still have two more nights at this beautiful resort, and it is much needed. You on the other hand, have a safe trip home," I wave him off.

"You sure love pissing me off," he snickered. I quirk a brow taking another sip.
"Vivian."

"Aiden," I mock.

"It was your father," He blurts. I furrow my brows, and shift my eyes to his in search for any weakness, any hint that he was just trying to hurt me.

"What?" I ask, a lump forming in my throat.

"Your father and my father," he continued.
"They're the ones that set us up."

"Pft, and I'm supposed to believe that?" I quietly laugh, doing my best to remain unbothered.

"You're a terrible liar, V, so I would say yes," his shoulders relaxed and he started to leave me alone.

"Why would my dad be apart of this?" I finally ask after mentally ensuring I could handle the answer.

"Money," he flatly replied, his eyes glaring at me.
"A big house, nice new car for your mom."

"Stop," I gulp, my tongue felt thick. My throat was so dry and it hurt to gulp.

"Noelle couldn't resist either," he continued, taunting me.
"Your mom found out, and at first she tried to sabotage my desire for you."

"Stop," I repeat.

"She made sure you looked like shit when we first came to see your new house, remember? You didn't even know we were coming. I still remember that bandana in your hair as you shoveled food in your mouth. Then after the dinner my dad made an offer she couldn't refuse when you got in the car first, so the next day when we went to the school for that tour who picked out your clothes? I sure as hell knew you would not wear a low cut spaghetti top for me, now would you? So go ahead, Vivian, act all tough against me. But in the end, you are mine," his words cut me like daggers. My breathing was harsh, my eyes threatening to release the liquid that stung at my eyelids. I kept my mouth closed, sucking on my tongue as the tips touched the front of my teeth. "Vivian?"

I could not process what he was saying. My parents, even my roommate? I stared blankly at him, I am his? Why? Why the hell would Aiden Harvey want me? It was stupid. It did not add up, he was just trying to hurt me.

"You can have anyone," I realized I couldn't even speak. Because deep down, I knew he was not lying. I knew my parents sold me out for money, sacrifice the oldest to ensure a better life for the younger ones. At that moment I realized I didn't hate them for it, and if it meant a better life of not sharing rooms, and mom having her own nice car, then fine I will do it for them also.

"I don't want just anyone," he chuckles. "I want the little girl that wanted me, that randomly paid to get me candy even when I was always so damn mean to her. I want the girl that wont use me for money the way those other females at school will."

"Paying my parents off, and telling me about it, looks like I am in it for money also," I finally muster. Aiden tilted his head to the side, pressing his lips up to touch the tip of his pointy nose as he thought it over.

"Yeah, but you have already showed me signs of wanting me too. So, I'll take it," he winks before straightening his posture. "V, I have wanted you since we were kids, I was an asshole because I have always been one. You were right, the other day, when you said my parents don't show their love for each other around me."

"Don't," I cut him off placing my hand in the air.
"Don't try to make me feel bad for you."

"So, now what?" He asks, looking me over.

"Make me an offer," I choke out. His brows furrowed.

"Excuse me?" He chuckles again for what felt like the millionth time.

"Make me an offer."
