Chapter 17

After everyone left it was just Arly and Jimmy.

"So what do you want to do?" He asked her.

"Spend as much time with you as I can." She said.

He smiled. "That can be arranged." He said kissing her.

Her arms wrapped around his neck increasing the kiss.

"Jesus." The man said. "This kid is sick."

"What's he doing?" His comrade asked him.

"Look for yourself." He said handing him the binoculars.

He took them and pulled them back eyes wide.

"The hell is wrong with that kid?" He asked.

"The alien must've put him under some mind control to make him her love or sex slave." The man said.

"Which is even more reason to capture her." His comrade said.

He nodded. "And we'll do it immediately."

Their makeup session was interrupted by the phone ringing. Jimmy groaned and pulled away.

"What's that?" She asked.

"The telephone." He said. "It's a device we use to communicate from long distances."

"That's really amazing." She said.

He chuckled. "I guess it is." "Look it also tells us who's calling."

She came over and saw a name.

"Who's Barbara?" She asked.

"My mom." He said picking up the phone.

"Hello." He said.

"Hi hon how are you?" Ms. Sullivan asked.

"I'm good mom." He said. "How's your business trip?"

"Exhausting." She said. "I've only gotten three hours of sleeps each night since being here."

"I'm sorry mom." He said. "How you holding up?"

"I'll be okay." She said. "So how are things at home?"

"They're good." He said.

"Good?" She asked. "How is everybody?"

"They're good." He said.

"Jimmy you never use the word good to describe anything." Me. Sullivan said. "You must be bored out your mind."

"Not really." He said eyeing Arly who was observing him.

"Oh?" She asked. "So what's keeping you occupied?"

"Something extraordinary." He said with a smile.

"And what is this extraordinary something?" She asked with a smile.

"Someone special." He said as Arly smiled.

"Really?" Ms. Sullivan asked. "Who is she?"

"Who says it's a she?" He asked.

"Cause no one else is more special than a girlfriend." She said. "So what's her name?"

"Her name is Arly and she's interested and into the same things I am." He said. "She's into aliens and such."

His mom laughed. "She's into aliens too?"

"Yeah you could say she kinda is one." He said.

Arlys eyes widen.

His mom chuckled. "She's sounds like a keeper then." She said. "You've found someone like you."

"Well not entirely." He said. "She's more into it than I am."

"She still understands you." His mom said.

"Yes she does." He said.

"That's good and have to go now." She said. "Talk to you soon."

"Okay mom bye." He said hanging up.

"Jimmy why'd you tell your mom about me?" She asked.

"She doesn't know what you are she's just assuming that a girl who has the same interest as I do." He said.

"Are you are she doesn't know?" She asked.

"Positive." He said with a smile.

She returned it.

"What do you want to do?" He asked.

"Can we go to the movies?" She asked.

He chuckled. "Yes we can." He said grabbing his keys and wallet.

They walked outside and walked to the car. As she got in Arly looked up.

"What's wrong?" Jimmy said looking in the direction she was looking in.

"I thought I heard something." She said. "It sounded low pitch like some kind of satellite."

"It's probably nothing." He said.

"I guess so." She said getting in the car.

After getting in Jimmy started the car and they drove away.

"So our gut feelings were dead on." General Cochran said seeing the images the men were sending him. "That kid is housing the alien." "And appears to have a relationship with it."

"What do we do now sir?" A guy asked.

"Prepare to capture her ASAP." He said.

"Jimmy I don't understand." Arly said as they walked out the movies. "Why is it called The Hunger Games and no one is hungry?"

"That's just the name." He said. "In the movie it's the future and it's divided into districts." "Then someone is selected from each district to compete in The Hunger Games which is a test of survival."

"It sounds savage." She said.

"It is but it's just a movie." He said. "Hopefully that won't happen with us in the future."

"I hope not I would hate if you or any of the others died." She said.

"We all have to die sometime Arly." He said.

"Not us." She said.

"You don't die?" He asked.

She shook her head. "We're as you would say immortal." "We're timeless."

"Wow." He said. "You'll still be looking young while I'm an old white haired man."

"I would still love you the same." She said.

His eyes widen. "You love me?"

She nodded. "I think I have for a while now even though we've only known each other for a few days."

"I wasn't sure at first but now I am." He said taking her hands in his. "I love you too Arly."

"You do?" She whispered.

He nodded.

Jimmy watched as a silver white tear that shimmered fall down her face. He wiped it away.

"Don't cry Arly." He said.

"These are tears of happiness." She said.

"That's a good thing." He said.

"Jimmy please kiss me." She said.

He happily obliged cupping her face and kissing her gently. Her hand went to his neck as he lifted her up slightly. They pulled away breathing heavily and forehead to forehead.

"Can we go home?" She asked.

He nodded and carried her to the car driving home.
