Stars in the Sky and Snow on the Leaves

1/1

She often wondered about death, not because she was depressed, or even had a certain fascination with it, but simply because the ends of stories were her favorite parts. How could subconscious acts like breathing or smiling, just stop?

Her faith kept her sane, and it gave her purpose, but most importantly it promised her an epilogue. Her name wasn't her legacy - nor did she wish it was. Her legacy was in all the smiles and hugs from her teachers. It was in the tears of her teachers. Her message to the world was in the stars, and in the snow. It was in the November leaves and it was in the July skies.

She did no own these things, but she loved them so. And so when her own clock ran out, she would remain in the sky, with the falling snow and the raining leaves.

And there would be stars overhead, welcoming her home.

They loved her so.
