"Dev, its okay, don't beat yourself up over it. Benji wouldn't want you to."

Kara tried to console me.

It didn't really work well.

"But it's all my fault! If I had just left his eyes closed it would've been fine! Because clearly he wasn't unconcious!" I exclaimed tears leaking out of my eyes.

I don't like seeing Benji like that... I don't like it at all.

But it's my fault. I have to try and make it better right?

Who am I kidding? There isn't anything that I can do!

"Kara... Is he gonna be okay soon?"

I looked down at Benji still in my arms shaking slightly.

"I think so. He's just shaking and making little noises, he should fall asleep soon."

"Oh... O...Okay..."

I smiled at Devin.

"Don't worry. This has happened before. He'll be okay. And I promised not to leave him alone so… Could you get the blanket from his bed?"

Devin nodded eager to do something that would help Benji.

"Kara, do you want us to stay or leave?" Meg asked.

I sighed.

"It would probably be better if everyone left. Thanks. I think Devin might stay though.. " I said with a little knowing smirk.

Coley nodded. "Alright. Come on guys."

Damon and Walt protested wanting to know why Devin could stay.

"We'll tell you once we leave now come on!" Meg whispered fiercely.

They all left leaving me holding Benji, Devin and Jax.

"Kara... you need me to do anything to help?"

Always trying to be helpful huh?

"No, not really anything else to be done Jax. You can go home love, I'll call you when Benji falls asleep."

He nodded and pecked my lips before leaving just as Devin came back with the blanket.

"Here ya go Kara..."

"Thanks Dev." I sighed looking at Devin's worried face. "Don't worry. He'll be fine. He's already starting to fall asleep. See?"

I wrapped the blanket around Benji and he mumbled something before clutching it like a teddy bear, snuggling in.

I smiled. "See? He's out now."

Devin looked a bit less concerned now that Benji was asleep.

"I'll carry him up to his room." Devin volunteered.

"Alright, then come back down here and we can watch TV or something until he wakes up ya?" I said.

I nodded then carefully took the sleeping Benji from Kara's hands.

He's so sweet and innocent looking... Sigh.

I carried him up to his room and put him on his bed. As soon as his head hit the pillow, he grabbed at it and hugged it to him, letting the blanket surrounding him to second as a pillow.

I smiled and leaned forward kissing his forehead before going back downstairs.

Kara was sitting on the sofa with a smirk on her face.

Fuck.. "Should I be running?" I asked suspiciously.

She shook her head and smiled again motioning for me to sit on the sofa next to her.

This is scary... I don't like the look on her face.

"So Devin..." she began.

"What are your exact intentions with my little brother?"

I choked on my own spit. What?

"I figured I'd not beat around the bush and get straight to it." she paused. "So?"

"Uhm... to... be his... friend?" I said.

She didn't buy it.

"Oh please! I saw the way you were looking at him! I'm not bl-- stupid!" she exclaimed.

"Why do you think I asked you that when we played truth or dare? You're face was like an open book Dev."

I cringed. Guess she did know...

"Okay.. I.. I like him.."

"As?" she prompted with a triumphant smirk as she drew out the word.

"As.. More then a.. Friend.."

I grinned evilly and snuck quietly out of my room to the top of the stairs, holding tight to the railing.

I guess she didn't believe him...

And I cant believe she almost said it... that's so... harsh.

Ugh, I feel so bad for Devin now! Although.. If he really does like me...

I stood up and carefully walked down the stairs.

"Kara?"

I heard a gasp then running feet.

"Benji! You're up already!"

I cocked my head to the side.

"Already?" I asked curiously.

"Well.. You only feel asleep a few minutes ago..."

"Oh... who else is here? I heard voices..." I explained to her.

"Devin's here.. "

"Hi Benji... I'm sorry.. "

I smiled softy at his voice.

"Don't worry about it. You didn't know. Besides if I was unconcious it was the right thing to do!" I said cheerily.

I looked over at Kara and she shrugged.

"Okay, I'm going the kitchen. You still want that ice pop Benji?" she asked.

He nodded. "I want the blue one..."

She nodded and walked away, leaving me to guide Benji over to the sofa.

"So... how much did you hear?" I asked nervously.

"A lot..." he said quietly looking towards the ground.

"Oh... " I bit my lip and made sure there was room between us... lots of room.

"But..." he started as he scooted over closer to me. "I think I like you too.. "

I froze.

Did this.. God.. Just say he thinks he likes me?

I couldn't help it, I leaned over and kissed his lips.

All of a sudden he shifted and something soft touched my lips.

It took me a second to realize it was his lips.

But when I did, he was already pulling away.

"Sorry--" he started to apologize.

But I reached my arms out towards his voice and managed to happily grab his face giving it a slight tug towards me.

I think he got the idea cause his lips crashed with mine again in a kiss.

Wow... I'm in heaven..

He tastes like.. Something slightly spicy and fruity..

It's yummy...

And addicting.

I didn't think he would like it so I apologized only to have him pull me back for more.

Guess he does like me! Yay!

But what to tell Kara?

We pulled apart and I looked at Benji.

He was biting his lip.

I reached up with a finger and brushed his lip, causing him to stop.

"Don't. You'll hurt yourself." I said.

"Uhm.. " he started. "Two things..."

"Okay. Shoot." I said smiling slightly.

He giggled before continuing. "First, does this make us boyfriends?"

I paused.

"I.. if you want us to be.. ya.. Would you like to be my boyfriend?" I said cautiously.

He nodded his head vigorously.

"And second," he said still blushed. "What do we tell my sister?"

Now it's my turn to bite my lip.

"Crap. I didn't think of that."

[Kara]

"No need boys."

They both jumped, startled and looked at me.

"What?.. What do you mean?" they both said it at the same time.. That's so cute!

"I pretty much heard the whole thing. And I'll approve it under a few conditions okay?"

They both nodded.

"One, Devin, if you ever hurt Benji, I will kill you. Two, ever make him cry I will injure you profoundly, and three, you keep him happy damned it."

Devin blinked.

"Okay. That I can do."

When he said that Benji's face broke into the biggest grin I've even seen, and then he reached out and wrapped his arms around Devin in a huge hug.
