Can we recycle more than we do?

By: A Random Environmentalist

Q: Can we recycle more than we do?

A: One thing we could easily do is start a compost pile! Things you can add to a compost pile are apple cores, apple skins, banana peels, orange peels, and just about all remains from fruits and vegetables. There are 3 ways (that I know of) to build a compost pile. You could just do it traditionally (in a pile), you could build a shelter over it so that the cold won’t stop the decomposing, or you could put worms in it (or do any combo of the 3).
Now, you might’ve thought that maybe the lunch trays might be recyclable. At lunch, look at the bottom of your lunch tray. You’ll notice a recycle triangle there. BUUUUUUUUT, you’ll ALSO notice a number “6” inside the special triangle. According to the adults I’ve asked, a “6” or “7” in that triangle mean it ISN’T recyclable. So, remember, REDUCE, REUSE, and RECYCLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^-^
