Brutus and Cassius both had reasons, excuses, actually, to kill Caesar. Brutus wanted to kill Caesar. Brutus wanted to kill Caesar because he “loved Rome more”. He truly thought Caesar was turning to tyranny. Cassius wanted to kill Caesar so he could take the throne, the selfish brat. Both of these characters wanted to kill Caesar for political reasons. However, Brutus’s reasoning is more noble, yet still a bad excuse to kill your best friend. Both Brutus and Cassius wanted to kill Caesar, and, sadly enough, they both prevailed.
