Day Dreaming

I remember like it was yesterday; all of us were dreamers, we walked around like nothing could bring us down. Sure we had taken our slip ups and lost some battles but our war had seemed to be won, but sometimes I wish I were smart enough to have given up while I was ahead. I had always said with out them I had nothing, well in my head at least, I had built a wall that inevitably broke. And when it did i went free falling into the arms of someone who never intended to catch me. I remember all the messages i sent but never received and their hints flew over my head like airplanes. All the times they said this isn't goodbye gave me something to hold on to when I should have let go.
