Before reading, let me just briefly explain the details of this AU. In this AU, the concept of "soul mates" is real. Everyone has one and you usually find your soul mate in your mid-twenties (however some people find theirs earlier). When you find your soul mate, that person may not be aware that they're yours yet. So you have to wait. But it'll happen.
Alex isn't stupid. He knows that all these things he's been feeling and thinking are just symptoms of something much bigger than he would care to acknowledge.
