Behind Enemy Lines

Resolution

They were out for a good chunk of time. Enough for us to go home, get some rest, and change before we got the call that they were up. Of course, that didn't exactly leave much time to work.

Scott was convinced we had to work with the alpha pact. No one else agreed, except for Dr. Deaton, so we sucked it up and went with it. One of the twins showed up to get Lydia, claiming Kali was going to kill Derek and he needed her help.

So, here I was, back to only trusting Isaac. And maybe Stiles. I guess. I didn't exactly have a reason not to.

We went to Allison's apartment to get some of her dad's things so we could pick up a scent to help us find the tree stump we were looking for. I wasn't entirely sure how I could track a scent, but it didn't really matter because there were some cops and an FBI agent waiting for, well, everyone but me. Being presumed dead has it's advantages, even if they are few and rarely useful for more than getting out of school or other responsibilities.

I hid in what I assumed was Allison's room, using my enhanced hearing to listen in on the conversation. The agent knew all about the missing parents and had found all of the Argents' hunting supplies. He also knew the group of teens was keeping things from him. I couldn't help but laugh silently to myself when I heard Allison rattle off the typical 'private security consultant and federally licensed private arms dealer' bullshit all hunters use as their cover when she was told the amount of weapons was enough probable cause to keep everyone there.

I felt a hand on my arm and looked up to find Scott, who motioned for me to follow him out of the apartment.

"Are you sure we're going in the right direction?" Isaac asked Allison, who was leading us in the direction of the root cellar where Jennifer was keeping everyone.

"I know we're near it. Can either of you pick up a scent?"

"I really have no grasp on my wolf abilities." I shook my head, turning to Isaac.

"I'm trying, but I c-" He paused, focusing all his attention on something else.

"I hear something." I listened for a second, and sure enough, I heard it, too.

"Ultrasonic emitter." I said.

"One of my dad's?"

"It has to be, come on." He replied before taking off in the direction the sound was coming from. We quickly found the large stump, along with a set of wooden doors in the ground next to it.

Isaac opened the door and started to go down the steps it lead to, Allison and I following close behind. We found the three parents tied to wooden beams and rushed to untie them as the asked a ton of questions I didn't bother to really listen to. We had to move fast. The ground above us was already caving in thanks to the storm that had started outside.

The staircase collapsed just as we went to get out, the ground around it following. We were all trapped, and our surroundings were only getting worse. Isaac laid over me to shield me from the falling debris, but quickly had to jump up as the wooden structure of the cellar began to collapse. I tried to help him, but nothing was working. It was about to crumble completely, but something, no, someone, stopped it.

Stiles. Yeah, I was right in trusting him.

He had brought an aluminum bat and used it to support what was left of then framework.

And then, suddenly, the storm stopped.

"Is it over?" Allison was the first to speak.

Hugs were given, laughs were shared. And I...well I kissed Isaac. It was short, it was sweet, and it got the point across.

I, Hannah Ruth Silbern, was in love with Isaac.

Everyone was safe. There was no dark druid sacrificing anyone. No alphas were targeting the pack. But there was still one thing I had to deal with.

Allison.

I stood outside of her apartment and knocked on the door. Isaac had offered to come with me, but I felt like this that kind of thing it was best to do alone. If she was okay with it, I would be fine. If she wasn't, I'd have to go back to living by the code, and get what it said I deserved.

"Hannah, what are you doing here? Not that I mind, just-" Allison asked when she found me.

"Dr. Deaton, uh, told you I'd explain our connection after everything was over. So here I am, ready to explain."

WOW OKAY GETTING THAT WHOLE SAVING PART OVER WITH IS SUCH A RELIEF. How'd everyone feel about last night's episode?

One chapter left in the story of Hannah and Isaac. It's been a good ride, guys. I'm considering writing a short prequel so you can find out more about our dear little huntress. Thoughts? All you have to do is comment saying you'd read it. Pretty simple.

Oh, and if you like, know German, I just used Google translate and found the most last name-y German word for silver, so please don't tell me that it's wrong or something. I know it's the adjective form, okay. I just wanted to follow the Argents' theme but make her German (like meee).

Peace out you fabulous people.
