Reid was broken to put it lightly. After watching her die in front of him, he was about ready to give up. It was the last straw, and he was done suffering and reliving every horrible thing he's been through. He wasn't going to tell his team yet, but they knew. So, Hotch called in the replacement fresh out of the Academy. Under Morgan's supervision, hopefully she'd blossom into anything close to what Reid was to the team. Juliet didn't know what was ahead of her, didn't know who was ahead of her. Quite frankly, she didn't care. As long as it put her past behind her. She never thought she'd make it this far, but if there's one thing in life she's learned, it's to fight with all your heart.
