Frank Iero was new to Manhattan, New York, and Gerard Way had been living there for several years.

Gerard was walking up the stairs to his apartment after work before running into Frank who was the new resident living on the top floor with Mr. Way. And from the first time their eyes met, they were both hooking on each other, falling deeper and deeper into the trance of "love at first sight."

But, after a nearly fatal automobile accident, doctors find something even more serious in one of the two lovers.
