I May Not Be Perfect But I Can Treat You Right
New start.
I keep my head low as I walk through the corridors of my new school.
This. Sucks.
I eventually find my locker and sigh as I put my stuff in it, now I have to find my way to first lesson.
Fun.
The teacher assigns me a seat and I can feel myself shaking as I wait for the person I'll be sitting next to to come in.
'Who are you?' a kid in a sum 41 shirt asks as he sits down next to me,
'Um, I'm Alex, I'm new.' I say quietly,
'Oh okay. Nice to meet you Alex, I'm Zack.' he smiles,
'You too... Uh, I like your shirt.' I say awkwardly and he grins,
'You like Sum? What about Blink? And Green Day?' he asks,
'Love them. Punk rock is my life.' I smile,
'Me and you are gonna get on very, very well.' he chuckles.

'Alex! Come over here!' I hear someone call as I go to sit down at a table on my own, I look up to see Zack waving me over, I walk over to him awkwardly and he motions for me to sit down, 'Alex, this is my boyfriend, Rian.' Zack smiles, motioning to the guy with a shaved head who has his arm around the muscular boy,
'Hey dude.' Rian smiles,
'Hey.' I smile back,
'And this is our best friend Jack.' Zack adds, pointing to the lanky kid with almost black hair with bleach blonde running through it, damn he's cute,
'Hi.' he smirks, glancing at me with look I've never seen before,
'Hey.' I say softly,
'Alex is in a lot of my classes, he's really cool, he likes the same music as us and he's a really good guy.' zack explains and I can feel myself blush as I look down,
'Favourite band?' Jack asks,
'Blink 182.' I say quietly,
'Awesome. Me too.' he smiles and I smile back awkwardlyx
'Jack is obsessed with Blink. He wants Mark Hoppus to father his children.' Rian smirks and I chuckle,
'No, dude, no, have you fucking seen Pete Wentz?' he smirks, fanning himself dramatically,
'So you're all gay?' I ask,
'Those two are flaming homos. I say I'm bi but I prefer dudes, why, you got a problem?' Jack says sharply and I shake my head,
'No, I-I'm gay too.' I say quickly,
'Im just messing with ya kid, I knew you were gay.' he smirks,
'Damn Jack, you're better at picking out gays than me and I'm 100% gay.' Zack laughs and I chuckle awkwardly,
'Hey, Alex, gimme your phone, I'll put all our numbers in it.' jack smiles and I get my phone out, unlocking it before handing it to him.
(a few days later)
From: Jack the love machine ;) (21:36): hey dude, do you wanna go to a party tomorrow night? x
I smile(again) at the name Jack gave himself and reply,
To: Jack the love machine ;) (21:37): uh... I don't know... x
We've been talking since I started at the school, it's been nice.
From: Jack the love machine ;) (21:38): come on bro, it'll be fun. I'll look after you x
To: Jack the love machine ;) (21:39) okay fine. But I dont drink x
From: Jack the love machine ;) (21:40): that's fine. Weird, but fine. I won't be drinking either, I'm the driver x
(the next day)
I hear a car horn outside and rush out of the house before I can get questioned, Jack is grinning at me from his car, I smile and rush over, getting in the passengers side, 'hey bro. You're looking good.' he smiles and I blush,
'Thanks. You too.' I say softly,
'Dont be nervous Lex. I won't let you out of my sight.' he whispers and reaches across, squeezing my knee.
-Jacks POV-
'Zack, have you seen Alex?' I ask desperately,
'Yeah, he's with Rian, he's pretty pissed.' Zack chuckles,
'What the fuck? He doesn't drink!' i say quickly,
'Well he's pissed.' Zack shrugs, 'he's over there.' he adds, pointing to the couch in the lounge, I rush over and find Alex sat on the floor, people surrounding him, laughing at him,
'Whats going on?' I whisper in Rian's ear,
'Hes the funniest piss head.' he slurs,
'Rian he doesn't drink. Someone's spiked him.' I say quickly and Rian's fatherly instincts kick in,
'Alex, have you ever been drunk before?' he asks,
'No. I don't drink. Too many memories.' he slurs,
'Come on Lex, come with me.' I whisper and help him up and walk him the kitchen, Zack and Rian follow me and I sit him on a stool,
'Get him some water.' I say to Rian and he nods,
'Alex, listen to me, you've never been drunk before so it's affected you quite badly. I'm gonna get you home in a bit, we just need to sober you up some.' I explain, making him listen to me,
'I don't like alcohol Jack. My brother killed himself because of the stuff. Why am i drunk?' he whimpers, eyes sparkling with tears, Rian comes over with a red solo cup of water,
'Help him drink it.' I whisper and rush over to Zack,
'Zack... His brother committed suicide because he drunk too much. I should of never brought him here. I think he's more fucked up than we originally thought.' I whisper and he gasps, we both agreed that Alex was hiding stuff when we met him, but nothing like this.
(next day)
-Alexs POV-
I wake up with a pounding headache and heavy eyes,
'Morning sleeping beauty.' someone whispers and I look up to see Jack sat at the end of the bed,
'Where am I?' I ask,
'My room. Someone spiked your drink last night Lex. You weren't with it at all, I couldn't take you home.' he sighs,
'Thank you. I would of been murdered if I went home.' I whisper,
'Because of your brother?' he asks softy,
'Guess I told you that, huh? But yeah, because of my brother.' I croak,
'Look, Alex, I'm really fucking sorry. You told me last night when you were drunk and I was really shocked. It was obvious you had a few problems but I wasn't expecting that.' he sighs,
'Its fine jack. Don't worry.' I whisper,
'Im here for you Alex, just so you know.' he whispers.
