Insanity

Confrontation

Akuma’s POV

“How am I supposed to get him back here?” Amanda asked, still looking like she didn’t believe us, though she looked mostly panicked about the entire situation. I got why she would be panicked to a point, but there really wasn’t time for this. We were running out of time. “I could lose my job.” She continued, moving her gaze from min to behind my shoulder. She was probably looking at Sam, he was giving off the calmest vibe in the small room.

“Anything you can think of. Say there’s something wrong or that a customer needs to talk to him.” Sam said from behind me. I moved out of the way so my back was pressed against the side wall so I could see them all as they talked. I didn’t have much to say in this situation that wasn’t ‘hurry up before I go drag him back here’ so it was better that I stayed silent.

“But… I could lose my job.” The woman repeated, looking between us all with panic in her eyes. I glanced at the watch on my wrist and looked at Alice with what I hoped was urgency in my eyes.
“People could die.” Alice cut in, her voice flat and cold as she spoke, her eyes had gotten that determined look in her eyes that meant she was going to get what she wanted and she would get it soon. “And we only have five minutes before he takes this plane down.”

Amanda met Alice’s eyes and they seemed to have a silent argument of will before Amanda released the cart she had been holding onto with a white-knuckled grip. “… Fine. I’ll do what I can.” She said, looking between us all again before slipping past Sam and out of the make shift door.

“I’ll pin the demon when it gets in here. Dean you should double check him with holy water in case he switched bodies.” Sam said, looking at his brother and moving out of the way as it was pushed back by the pilot.

“What’s going on?” The man asked as he stepped in with Amanda, looking between us only to be grabbed by Sam as the curtain closed. In the next moment Dean had opened the holy water and was splashing it as the plane hit turbulence. The jostling of the plane sent the water a bit off track and though it hit the demon and went off it hit my hand as well. With a soft hiss of pain I shoved my hand behind my back and leaned against the wall, grimacing as the room became filled with noise and movement. This entire thing was insane and there was no way for me to get out, but I needed to and soon, before the boys noticed something was off. I turned my gaze back to the demon on the floor and narrowed my eyes at the look it gave me.

“You okay?” Alice asked from my left side and I looked over at her, giving her a small nod in response as I noticed Sam was directly between me and the door. “Are you sure? That burn looked pretty bad.” She said quietly, which wasn’t really needed due to the amount of noise, but I knew she was doing it so only I would hear.

“Yeah I’m fine. Look, good as new.” I said, pulling my hand out from behind my back and taking a deep breath. “We just need to worry about getting me out of here before they start. I’m going to start the panic attack.” I said, turning my gaze back to the demon on the ground and tuning in to what seemed to be the end of him talking to Sam.

“… All about your girlfriend! She died screaming!” The demon said, throwing his head back and laughing. With a soft swear I shot forward and pinned the thing by the shoulders as a look of anger and sadness crossed Sam’s face, his grip loosening.

“Sam don’t listen to it. They lie.” I said, lifting my eyes to his. “You need to stay concentrated on what we’re doing.” I said, digging my fingers deeper into the things shoulders as is thrashed beneath me. “Anything it says is a lie, it doesn’t know a damned thing.”

“Oh yes, I suppose you could say we all lie. All of us, even the partial ones.” It cackled, its hot breath hitting my skin. I could feel its eyes boring into me and I looked down to meet its eyes, returning its cocky look with a glare. “And you could say that the entire life of some of them is a lie.” It finished, letting out another laugh before I pulled away.

“I can’t do this. It’s too crowded. You guys need to finish this, I said pulling back and looking over at Alice. “Claustrophobia… I just… need to go.” I said, reaching for my sister and taking a breath. It felt like he air was being sucked out of the room and the edges of my vision were going blurry. “Alice…” I gasped before everything went white, my head exploding in pain. It felt like someone was trying to drive an axe through the top of my head and followed up with a sharp ringing in my ears. I reached out in-front of me and wrapped my hand around what I was hoping was Alice’s arm. A moment later I felt myself moving and vaguely heard someone talking, but it couldn’t actually hear anything that was said. I said something, not sure what I was trying to say as something wet leaked onto my cheeks. Moments later I felt myself drop down before the white was replaced with black.

Dean’s P.O.V.

I looked up and watched the girls leave with a small frown. This is why I told Bobby that we didn’t need their help. If they could help at all it would be now, but of course the one who got us on the plane had major claustrophobia. With a small growl I turned my eyes back to the demon, making myself focus on the task at hand. The demon was thrashing around, making it harder to hold him. It only took a few more moments before the pilot’s head jerked back and the smoke poured out of his body and into one of the vents. “Is that it?” I asked, letting go of the pilot’s body and standing up, getting my answer a moment later as the plane started to go down. “Sam?! What’s going on?!” I yelled, lifting myself up off the ground.

“The demon has more control in this form! Have to finish it off!” Sam yelled as the plane jerked forward again, screaming and what sounded like a thud sounding shortly after he finished speaking.

“Well hurry up!” I yelled, trying to be loud enough for him to hear over all of the commotion. Glancing around I grabbed onto the nearest solid object and held on as tight as I could, trying to see past the curtain, which proved difficult as it flew around with the movements of the plane. After the first few moments I gave up and concentrated on not dying. Tightening my hands on the counter, I pulled myself back and sucked in a breath, only now realizing that the majority of the screaming was coming from me. “Son of a BITCH” I yelled just as the plane levelled out and everything fell silent. A moment later I peeled myself off of the wall and walked forward, pushing the curtain out of the way and groaning as I noticed everyone staring at me.

“You alright?” Sam asked, walking up to me from our seats, his face was tight and slightly pale with worry, a look that shouldn’t be on a hunter's face after saving so many people on a hunt. I cleared my throat trying to keep myself together.

“Yeah I am… what’s wrong?” I asked with a frown, somewhat expecting him to lie. If he did I was ready to retaliate but judging by the glance over his shoulder before looking back at me, he was going to tell me the truth.

“It’s Akuma. You should probably see for yourself.” He said and I bit back a grown, though I couldn’t stop the eye roll as I followed him. I knew having them along on the hunt was a bad idea and I was going to make sure I phone Bobby and let him know. As we reached the girls I was about to make a smart ass comment but frowned instead. Akuma was leaned back, her head at an awkward angle and what looked like dried blood at the corner of her mouth and her skin was paler than usual. Alice was beside her, looking up at me with a challenging look in her eyes.

“What happened?” I asked, looking back at Akuma for a moment before looking at Alice again and taking my seat as the seat belt sign turned on and the co-pilot announced that we’d be landing shortly.

“She had a panic attack because of claustrophobia. She fell and hit her head when the plane started going down, Alice barely got her into the seat in time.” Sam said, taking the seat next to me and doing up his own seat belt. I tightened my hands on the armrests and nodded in reply, not trusting my mouth after what had just happened. My stomach was turning and I felt as if I would throw up if I opened it. “We’ll have to rig a van to get back. Alice said she’d drive Akuma’s car back from the other airport.”

I nodded again and looked forward as we hit the ground. “Sounds like a plan.” I said once I was relaxed and no longer felt like emptying my stomach on my lap. Once the seatbelt sign turned off I twisted in my seat to look back at the girls, noticing that Akuma was still out cold. “Is she going to be okay? Do we need to take her to a hospital?” I asked, frowning when Alice violently shook her head.

“She hates hospitals more than small spaces. She just needs to sleep it off.” She said, tightening her hand around her sisters and meeting my eyes with a hard look. “I know how to sneak around security in these places, we can go that way so that we don’t get stopped and questioned.” She said, standing as the other passengers finished filing off. “Sam? Can you help me get her off of this thing?” She asked, turning her gaze to him with a sad puppy dog look that could easily beat Sam’s in a competition.

“Yeah of course.” Sam said, standing up and moving to the seat, waiting for Alice to move before he reached down and picked up Akuma.
