It's Time to Rock the Dragon

Chapter twenty six

I made sure I wasn’t too far away from Tea and Goten. I had a bad feeling about this, but it was warranted. After all, we were on enemy’s turf looking for them alone, anybody in their right minds would get a bad feeling from this.

I could hear them in the distance, scrounging around. I kept a firm grab on the walkie-talkie in my hand, to use to call for safety or to hear any news of the other group. However, it was silent here, and they were silent, so there was no need.

I found a group of rocks in the distance, and walked towards them automatically. They were just rocks, but considering it was open area until now, they were a little more interesting than open plains.

I made my way towards them, not paying attention to the fact that I was distancing myself from Tea and Goten. I was planning to check the rocks, see nothing was there and walk back towards Goten and Tea.

When I got to the rocks, I was a little disappointed. There was nothing there. Nothing. Which means we’d have to keep searching, and the mystery still remained at large: Where was this so-called base?

This disappointment and desperation is what motivated me to move the rocks around. Maybe this would be like you saw on TV, and if you moved the rocks there would be a stairway to a super cool underground base, or a switch or something connected to the base.

These fantasies filled my head as I continued my search. I would find something, then get on the walkie-talkie to Launch and tell her to bring Seto and Vegeta, and find Tea and Goten on the way and we’d work as a team with this base.

Tea and I could be a look out at the top, Launch and Goten could go ahead to look at the base, Seto would agree to examine anything technological should we find the need, and any danger that came our way, well Vegeta had stated numerous times he favoured the need to blow people up.

However, all I found as I moved the rocks were spiders and scorpions crawling out of the hidden places.

One larger-than-normal scorpion crawled out from the space in between the rocks, giving me a fright and I stumbled back.

Being caught by someone gave me a larger fright, though.

I tried to scream out, but they swiftly covered my mouth before any noise could even be screamed.

I stayed calm for a second, hoping it was Goten or Tea who had caught me and accidentally held me in the wrong position.

When the grip began tighter, I was then hoping it was Seto or Vegeta, who wanted me to be silent in case the enemy heard us.

Then when the grip was the tightest, it became clear it WAS the enemy that had grabbed me.

Silencing was not their only goal, as they managed to cut off my air supply for long enough to make me pass out.

When I awoke later, I didn’t know I was waking up. I felt like I did the one time I got a little too tipsy at a dinner party Seto had held. I remembered getting into the limousine, and next thing I knew, I was in his bed, naked. I thought only TV conveyed being drunk as loss of memory, but it happened.

This was different though. This was a little more serious than losing my virginity and not remembering how, and it was caused by injury (suffocation) and not alcohol in my blood stream.

I looked around and noticed I was in a room. It was fairly plain; it had similar décor to one a hotel room would have. Plain white sheets, cream coloured walls and a cupboard and bedside tables.

Maybe I was in a hotel room? There was a lack of windows though…the only light shining through was a skylight above.

I sat there contemplating what to do. I could bang and scream all I wanted, but I was on the enemy’s lines, it would just alert them to the fact I was awake.

I took in the room. There was an attached bathroom I noticed, which I scampered into. It was like the room, plain. The bathtub had an attached showerhead; there was a sink, a mirror and a toilet.

Next to the bathroom was a door, the only way into the outside world. It was no surprise it was locked.

I decided to inspect the room thoroughly. Maybe I could find escape route, it was doubtful, but it was either that or sit on the bed crying.

However, before I could even get on my hands and knees to begin searching around, I heard someone come in. Before I could even get up and make a break for it, I noticed they had swiftly shut the door.

I stood up, and faced the man who had just walked in.

He had bright red hair that stood up, with a few strands covering his forehead like a fringe. He wore a red scarf around his neck, and a long blue trench coat and blue pants. However, he wore no shirt under his trench coat, not just because it was hot, but obviously to emphasise his six-pack and other muscles he had.

He was seriously ripped, and this made me scared.

I stayed silent, not wanting to anger him.

“Hello. I’m Colonel Silver. And you are?” The red-haired man asked me.

“Charlotte Judge.” I meekly replied.

“Charlotte…that’s a nice name. I’m sure you have many questions to ask, so please go ahead and ask.” ‘Colonel Silver’ stated.

“No, I’m okay.” I replied.

I was still a little scared, however I was trying to remain calm and knew that my best position was to stay on his good side and comply with whatever wish he had. Whilst I was sure Gohan and his friends would save me at some point, this wouldn’t be like the movies where they’d come just in time. I had to buy time, but keep Silver happy at the same time.

“No? Well, you’ll have a few questions after I finish my explanation. See Charlotte, I need your help.” Silver began.

My help? Why? He was the bad guy. This would not end well.
