It's Time to Rock the Dragon

Chapter thirty three

"Charlotte! I am SO sorry! Erm, I mean we are so sorry." Joey said to me, the only one with the guts to speak up right now.

I had been checked over by Kaiba Corp's private doctors and was deemed okay. Seto tried to organize me to see a psychologist but I refused. I was only kidnapped for a day, and no torture methods were used. He used my own mind against me. I felt stupid, but not scarred and had learned from this.

So then I called Capsule Corp. It took a lot of explaining and transferring but I was able to get onto Bulma, who gasped and sent Goku to Kaiba mansion instantly. Of course Tea, Joey, Yugi and Tristan grabbed onto Goku before he teleported here.

They all stood in front of me awkwardly, until Joey spoke up just before. I was forgotten, and they felt guilty.

"We didn't forget you! But Launch was crazy and saying we should kill the main base and leave you behind. A few people disagreed, but Gohan stated she was right and you would understand." Tea stated, looking at the ground.

"It's okay. I don't mind about that part. But you guys forgot to pick me up after the whole ordeal was done?" I asked, trying to remain firm but not mean.

"No! We didn't!" Joey protested, but Tristan shoved Yugi to the front to explain.

"When the fight was over, we went in separate jets. In our jet it was Tea, Joey, Tristan, Kaiba and myself. Tea mentioned you, and Bulma stated she was closer to the lookout than Silver's base, but would get you after dropping us off. When we got to the look out Kaiba mentioned he would be the one to rescue you, and then asked Goku to teleport him back to his plane." Yugi explained.

"Wait... What? Why didn't you ask Goku to teleport you and him to myself, save me, and then all teleport back to the look out? Would have saved us lots of time!" I complained, turning to Seto.

"Because I don't believe in that magic stuff." Seto stated, his nose in the air.

I only smiled at his response. It didn't make sense; he used the 'magic' to get to his plane but not to rescue me. That was such a Seto move. We had also just sorted out our differences. I wasn't going to jeopardize that.

"Goku said he’d wait outside the mansion. Should we go?" Tea asked me.

I looked back at Seto. I almost felt guilty leaving him. Who would have seen this coming?

"Keep in touch, okay?" I smiled at Seto, who sent me back a smirk.

"Certainly Charlotte. I'll write you." Seto replied.

I sent another smile his way before following Yugi, Joey, Tea and Tristan out of the mansion and into the luscious gardens outside.

I looked around, enjoying the green leafy plants, the colourful blooms and the sweet scents drifting from the vegetation.

It wasn't like I was held for a long time against my will. It wasn't even against my will. But I knew from now on I'd enjoy the great outdoors a lot more.

"Hi Charlotte! How are you feeling?" Goku asked cheerfully.

"I'm not too bad thanks. How are you?" I asked Goku, smiling slightly.

I wasn't angry at Goku. He fought majority of the battle and it was because of him he won. I’m sure after the battle all he would want to do is eat and then sleep; it wasn't his responsibility to remember to rescue me.

Gohan on the other hand... Sure he did battle too. But I was his girlfriend. I was weary from my ordeal, but Gohan was on my mind the entire time. I'm sure he would have now at least been alerted to what had happened, but still had yet to contact me. This was not excusable.

"Great thanks! But I'm starving! What do you say we get back to the lookout so we can eat?" Goku asked me.

"Sounds good Goku." I smiled.

I wasn't hungry; Seto had bought me food to eat at his mansion. But I was dying to go home.

I then turned around to see Yugi, Tea, Joey and Tristan cling onto me as I held onto Goku. They were coming along too.

I thought to question why as our surroundings changed, but instead could only smile. I was taught to never look a gift horse in the mouth.

"Come on Charlotte just forgive me! This is ridiculous. We defeated the bad guys, we won. There's no point in being angry at me!" Gohan whined.

After we all congregated at the lookout (and everyone BUT Gohan rushing over to see if I was okay) it was decided Capsule Corp was the best place to celebrate. After a big feast, the oldies and young ones broke up.

Yugi, Tristan, Tea, Joey, Marik, Jess, Videl, Trunks, Goten, Gohan and I were sitting in the backyard of the corporation under the leafy palm trees.

Gohan had been asking for my forgiveness for the past hour, but I wasn't listening anymore. I originally told him I had to wait a few days and approach the situation then, to which he replied 'why does it matter? We've only been going out one day' for such a smart kid he could say some stupid things.

"Gohan, leave her alone. It's a sad day when a girl's ex boyfriend has to save her because her current boyfriend completely forgot about her." Videl snapped at Gohan.

I then felt bad for Gohan. I think the full brunt of what was going on was conveyed to Gohan by Videl's words. The look on Gohan's face was nothing less than pain and guilt.

"Okay. I'm sorry Charlotte. I'll leave you alone." Gohan sighed, looking down.

I said nothing, feeling guilty myself, not even bothering to watch Gohan's form shuffle inside.

"Cheer up girlie, you've done nothing wrong. If you want to forgive Gohan, do it later. He has to realise what he's done first before you forgive him." Videl winked.

"I agree. What he did to you was low, he didn't forget about you he fully remembered. That makes it worse." Jess stated.

Videl and Jess gave each other a weird look. They obviously hadn't agreed on anything since they were friends a while ago.

After a second or two, the three of us started laughing at the situation. This was laughter that no one else around understood.

I could see that at least one broken relationship had been mended today.
