I'm Just Fine

Friends that Win and Party

Thursday arrived and Flynn found himself dressed in his school colors with his face painted and the numbers 22 and 31 on his cheeks. The women's team was playing first. His group of friends were dress similarly to him but also had the added posters to wave. The game was close through all of it. Flynn couldn't help but laugh at how into it his friends got. Malia was surprisingly okay with the large crowd, focusing solely on the game rather than the people around her. Marty almost had two fights, but Flynn and Nymph managed to calm him down. Eventually his girlfriend arrived and he was fine after that, although he was still one of the loudest in the crowd.
Unsurprisingly, Nymph managed to score with two people before the game was finished. One being a cheerleader from the other team. She came back with a grin and informed her friends that she managed to get him to cum and then finished herself off. She was confident that their men's team would win no problem. Flynn snickered and shook his head while Tyr was unsure how to feel.
Trina managed two three pointers and three free throws. Her last three pointer won them the game with two seconds left on the clock. The stands erupted and flowed like rapids to the court. It took Flynn and his friends a good five minutes before they were able to give Trina a congratulatory hug. Security soon after started clearing the court so the men's teams could have their game. Flynn made his way back to his seat to find Nymph once again gone. With a sigh he turned to Marty and asked, "Where's Nymph?"
He replied with a sarcastic tone. "What- who do you think she's doing?"
Flynn nodded, "Fair enough. I'll go look for her in a minute." He watched as the ball was tipped and a few minutes into the first half and then went into search for his friend. He was in a particular corridor and followed the sounds of moaning and gasping. He turned the corner to see her pressed against the wall with a familiar young man rocking into her.
"Clark!" She moaned, her back arched and eyes closed. A moment later she cried out and and panted as she road out her climax. When he finished, his hips stopped moving and his face rested in the crook of her neck.
"You missed the tip off." Flynn commented, leaning against the wall.
Nymph finally opened her eyes and looked at him. "I don't think I did actually." She snickered. "But as for the basketball game, you see one you see them all. How are we doing?"
"It was still zero to zero when I left."
"Got bored and needed to see some real action?" Her mouth curled into a grin.
"Yes, because I get off at watching a heterosexual couple bang each other in the hallway. You know me Nymph."
"So sarcastic! You've been hanging out with Marty too much." She laughed, raking her hands through the young man's hair she still had her legs wrapped around. She looked down and asked, "You good?"
"Yup. Are you?" He finally looked up and smiled.
"I'm sated for now." She kissed his nose and waited as he slowly slid out of her. Once on the ground, Nymph straightened her skirt and shirt. "Ready to cheer on our men?"
"I've been ready. Just wanted to make sure you were okay." Flynn smiled as he pushed himself off of the wall.
"You are too good to me." She kissed his cheek and started sauntering off towards the gym. Pausing only for the two young men to catch up.
"How are you Clark?" Flynn asked as he walked beside Nymph's recent fuck buddy. "I haven't seen you in a while."
"Fine." Clark replied. The young man was someone Flynn never thought Nymph would ever look at twice. He was too kind for his own good, awkward, shy, and nerdy. He and Flynn got along well. "Engineering is killing me though. Nymph invited me so I could 'get out of the bat cave and have fun for once.' Apparently I need more fun in my life."
"She tells me that all the time." Flynn chuckled.
"I hear she's trying to set you up with someone."
"She tells you everything doesn't she?" Flynn groaned.
"Not everything but a lot. So who is this young man that is worthy of you?" Everyone knew Nymph was extremely protective of Flynn and would easily beat the crap out of anyone who tried to hurt him. Or get Marty to do it.
"Just someone I've been working with on a project. I don't know if he's into guys so it'll be kind of hard to date him- if I was even thinking about it- if he wasn't."
"Don't you have a gaydar?"
"Not really. I don't particularly care about that sort of thing."
"Unless its Nymph, Malia, Trina, and to a degree Marty."
"Exactly."
"Come on slow pokes. Bromance later!" Nymph whined. Clark and Flynn laughed as they picked up their pace and caught up to Nymph. The three friends found their seats and watched the rest of the game with little interruption. The college's men's team won causing another flood of student's onto the court. Flynn weaved behind his friends as they made their way to Tyr. Trina was the first to arrive and jumped on him. Tyr turned startled but easily smiled and hugged back.
"So you did end up coming." Tyr grinned as he hugged Flynn.
"Yeah, if I didn't I'm pretty sure I would have been disowned. Awesome job." Flynn replied.
"Thanks. Are you going to the party tonight?" He asked his friends before the team could drag him away.
"I thought the party was tomorrow?"
"That's the Frat's party, this is the team party."
"I don't know..."
"Tyr tell him he must!" Nymph shouted over the throng. "He won't listen to us." Flynn rolled his eyes.
"Dude, come on. It's not every day we win against our rival. For me?" He pouted and fluttered his eyes.
"Only if you stop. That is kinda creepy."
"Deal!" Tyr grinned. "I'll see you later at the party!" He waved as his teammates dragged him off.
Flynn shook his head as he followed his friends to the parking lot. It wasn't until they were outside that Clark came up beside him. "Is that who Nymph is trying to set you up with?"
With a sigh, Flynn answered, "Yes. She thinks it would be adorable for me to end up with my childhood best friend."
"Nymph is a secret romantic. Shh, don't tell her I know." Clark winked before continuing. "But we aren't talking of her. Dude, you totally have a chance with Tyr."
"And why would you think that?"
"Cuz I went to high school with him. He was the freaking god of the place. He literally could do no wrong and he could and basically did everyone in school."
"I already knew he was a player. How the heck does that translate to I have a chance with him?"
"When I say anyone, I mean anyone. Like if I wasn't heterosexual, I'd have probably slept with him."
"I'm not going to be one of his fucks. Been there, done that. I'm good."
"I understand that, but he outgrew that phase senior year. He actually dated someone for most of the year, but then split. I haven't heard about him screwing someone since then. Maybe a few drunken one night stands, but that isn't too surprising. We are in college after all."
"I suppose, but... I don't know. I don't think I'm ready for a relationship at this point in time. Besides it's still kind of awkward."
"Do what you think is right, but don't let a good opportunity pass Flynn. My brother let this girl he fell in love with go and he regrets it." Clark patted him on the shoulder and then ran to catch up with Nymph.
An hour later Flynn found himself at one of the Greek houses surrounded by drunk students. He skirted through the crowd until he was greeted by an inebriated Tyr. The young man grinned at his friend and slapped his shoulder. "Hey Flynn, didn't think you'd make it. Hey Charlie, this is my friend I was telling you about!" He elbowed a muscular man next to him that had many tattoos.
"The friend from grade school?" Charlie looked at him and stuck out his hand, "Hey, I'm Charlie Dubois. I've heard quite a bit about you."
"I hope only good." Flynn gave an unsure smiled and shook his hand. "Pleasure to meet you."
"Are yeah here alone or with someone?" Charlie asked.
"Friends. Though I seemed to have lost them in all this. Congrats about the win."
"Thanks, couldn't have done it without this guy."
"Naw, I barely did anything." Tyr bent his head down in embarrassment.
"Bullshit and you know it." Charlie shook his head. "Who are your friends, maybe I know them."
"There's Marty-"
"Oh he's a bastard. Good thing he's on your side."
"He can be. Trina and Malia."
"Malia's adorable but I hate her boyfriend. He's a tool. And Trina's cool, wicked good at sports."
"Finally my roommate's Nymph."
"Nymphadora?"
"Yeah, but I suggest you don't call her that. She hates her full name."
"Noted. I like her, she's feisty and one of the best fucks I've ever had." Charlie paled as he realized what he said. He started fumbling with words over trying to apologize for what? Flynn wasn't sure.
"Relax Charlie, from what I can tell very few can top her when it comes to sex."
"Have you and her..."
"She blew me once, but that's it." Flynn shrugged. "She's not my type and I'm not her's."
"Who isn't her type?" He asked boggled.
"The kind that aren't into females?"
It took Charlie a minute, "Ooooh."
"Yeah... So who are you playing next?"
"Umass Lowell." Tyr replied taking a gulp of his solo cup. "I hear they're going to be tough to beat, but I think we can take them."
"I'll bet you can. From what I've seen you're a team that works well together."
"That we are. We're like bros." Tyr broke out into another grin.
Before Flynn could say anything else, Malia ran up and grabbed his arm. "Sorry Tyr I'm borrowing Flynn." Her eyes turned to her friend. "Come dance with me, Carl's being lame and won't." She pouted and any argument Flynn may have had disappeared.
"Anything for you my dear." Malia smiled brightly, waved at Tyr and Charlie, and then pulled Flynn onto the dance floor.
The two guys watched as Flynn twirled Malia before dancing with her. Charlie shook his head. "For someone who apparently likes guys, he sure can dance. And look, he's surrounded by girls."
"Charlie, he's the stereotypical gay best friend. They know he won't try to sleep with or take advantage of them."
"I guess." A sly grin spread over Charlie's face. "You should go and dance with him."
"And why would I do that?" Tyr asked defensively.
Charlie proceeded to roll his eyes. "Cuz you've had a crush on him forever."
"What crack have you been smoking?"
"That was one time. Besides you told me."
"I did not! When was this?"
"Freshman year when we got wicked drunk and you crashed at my place. You told me about how you had a crush on this one friend from grade school. Considering you didn't have many close friends and that guy over there is quite attractive, I am man enough to admit it, I'd say I'm right." He watched as Tyr's blush crept up from his neck and spread lightly over his cheeks. "I wont' tell anyone, but you should ask him out."
"I don't know..." Tyr doubted, "We haven't seen each other in six years and a lot has changed. Right now I would like to at least rebuild our friendship."
"Your call Tyr, but don't wait too long. Flynn as stated before is attractive, appears to be a nice guy as seen by all the girls flocking to him, and not batshit crazy like your last girlfriend. I'd say he may be a winner."
Tyr couldn't help but snort at the 'not batshit crazy' part. He knew Flynn wasn't like his last relationship but he was certified "crazy" as people would say. Still he couldn't shake the feeling that asking Flynn out would end badly. "We'll see." Tyr said before turning towards the kitchen to refill his cup.
