Adam McQuaid grew up in Cornwall PEI, a simple farm boy. The week before he went into the OHL Priority Draft in 2003, his friends convinced him to leave Cornwall with a bang, and so he did. He left Cornwall, then, completely unknowing that his childhood friend, Charlie Davidson, was pregnant with his child.
Charlie was convinced she was done with her puppy love crush over Adam, until he came onto her at the farewell party she was having for Adam. One thing led to the next and they were both too drunk to notice. Charlie and Adam wake up the next morning, stunned and barely get a word out to each other before her parents come home.
The two haven’t talked since, Adam too invested in hockey and Charlie trying to figure out just how to be a single teenage mom.
But, when Adam comes back for a week over the summer, the two finally see each other for the first time since the party that started everything.
