The Letters

Hi Gus,

Mommy went a little crazy today. I don’t think she went to bed last night. She cleaned the whole house and move things three times in a row. Then she got mad at me because I took out my Barbies. She spanked me and told me to go to my room. I cried. I don’t like Mommy being mad at me. But then she said that she’s expecting Frank Sinatra to come and visit. I don’t know who Frank Sinatra is but mommy and daddy loves him.

Hannah said that Mommy has a bipolar disorder. I got mad and punched her. I don’t know what bipolar disorder mean but I felt like it was mean to Mommy. So when Daddy came home, he put me in the time-out corner and then told me that I shouldn’t hit Hannah or anybody.

But then Daddy told me that Mommy is very sick and don’t know how to control her feelings. Then he finger spelled Hypomania. Daddy said that mommy was having hypomania today. I don’t understand what it means but I guess it’s bad. I wish mommy was okay. Daddy said that Mommy had to go to the hospital a few weeks ago because of her bipolar disorder.

I’m really sad today.
