Settle Down

"Settle down is about a guy (me) who liked a girl, but the girl is really shy and closed off. The girl hides behind her hair, using it as a mask to hide herself and the guy is unable to get through to her. She refuses to let him in, responding only in body language at first then simply avoiding him. He desperately wants her, he wants to be with her. These feelings he has makes me him lose control of his thoughts and pretty much everything. They live in a small town and keep running into each other. It kills him every time but he puts on a brave face. Basically, he's saying, 'Slow down, take the time to get to know me. I love you, I love that you're shy, and you're too shy to take a chance, but I won't give up.' But truth be told, he gave up." - Matthew Healy
