As Ted came to french class, Ronie was already sitting at her sit. He sat down next to her.

"Hey!" She smiled to him in answer. "Were are we for that french talk?" He asked.

"I've wrote you the translation. But we'll see together the discution."

"After school, at mine?" He asked.

"I don't know... you're not occupied, today?" She asked, frowning.

"Oh shit, I forget! I have band practice!" Her eyes went wide. "You're in a band too?" He shrugged." Yep" he looked at her. "Wanna come? We'll work after." A huge smiled spread across her face. "With pleasure!"

I've never see her smile like that. He smiled. Maybe she love music.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
After school, Ronie waited for Ted in the front of the school. Students were cool to her. She was like something holy, something you can't touch. So she was never bullied, or really hated. She wasn't to popular one, neither. She was neutral. She was the shy cute girl in dresses. Because every time she wasn't at school she was wearing one. And at school she was just wearing the regular uniform. Some girlie girl passed before her, and stopped. She turned to Ronie. If Ronie remembered good, she was called Rachel.
"You." She snapped. The way she moved her head made her hair moves. It was looking like a wig. It was ridiculous. Ronie wanted to laugh. But instead she looked away.
"Stay away from Ted. He's mine, okay?"
"I'm not going to stole him. He is just my friend."
Rachel gave her a dark look. Ronie looked at her foot. "Shut up. You've understood?"
Ronie nodded.
"Roniiiiie!!" Ted shouted from the other side of the hall.
She turned to him. He rushed to them.
"Oh hey Rachel." He said. "See you tomorrow babe." He said as he kissed her. She's his girlfriend?
"You're coming, Ronie?" She nodded and followed him outside.
They went to a house, near high school. A twenty years old guy opened the door.
"Hey Ted! And hey..."
"Ronie" said Ted.
Once again she was looking at her feet. She remembered what Brian had said the day before. She smiled.
They get in, and went to a room full of instruments.
"The guys, Ronie is a friend, she's going to stay here, everyone is okay with that?" Ted asked. They all nodded, looking at her.
She blushed. Ted told her to sat down and to listen. That was exactly what she did.
The bassist, who was also singing, was a really tall guy. Around twenty years old. He was great with his bass. Not the best, but good. He had pretty long black hair, put in a ponytail. He seemed that he hadn't shave in some days, but it was making him seemed hotter. He had brown eyes.
The guitarist was the one who owned the house. He was shorter. Blond haired, tanned, good looking, he seemed to be the famous football player, in high school, with all the girls he wanted. He was pretty good, but less than the singer was.
And Ted was sitting behind his drums. He really was great. He looked like he was having the time of his life, playing. He was looking like his brother. The same feature, but he had lighter hair, that was between chestnut and red, and his eyes were green.
Brian.... she remembered the night before in the car. He had been kind. Maybe he not hated her? Or maybe it was just to make some talk. She really hopped it was the first. He was her idol, it was normal she wanted him to like her. Or at least to not hate her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

After repeating the same song four or five time, Ted asked Ronie. "So, what you think about it?"
She toyed with her own hands, uncomfortable." It's pretty awesome. It's your first song?"
"Not the first, but one of!" He answered proudly.

"Then it's pretty good." She said, in a whisper.

"'Then' what are you meaning? That it's shitty, but since it's our first, it's okay to sound like shit?" Snapped the guitarist.

She blushed and looked away. "No! I didn't mean that! It's good!"

"Yeah your right. In fact, you can't really judge. You're here to go into Ted's pants."

It was hurting. Bad. She wasn't a whore. She hated being treated like dirt. But she didn't answer. She knew if she answered it would get worse. It always got worst if you answer.

"See I'm right!"

"Shut up, Lukas! Leave her alone!"

"Not when she's being bitchy to us!"

"Ted, we'll work on the french things another day." She said as she stood up and went away. Someone called her in her back, but she didn't turn around. She walked to her home. Not bothering into pulling the tears away. She shot the door open, and hurried to her room. Her dad saw her, but she locked herself in her room.

"Romane, what happened?" He asked.

"Nothing, leave me alone!" She shouted. Here at least she was able to talk loud. It was home. With just her dad.

Therefore she had shouted in Brian's car. She didn't know why and how she could have done that. She never speak like that. It surely was because of the subject she was talking about. She took her stuffed bear in her arms. Every time since her childhood she held the stuffed animal when she was sad, mad or afraid. He was called Romain. A french name. The masculine version of her own name. She loved it.
She held it close to her chest, and fell asleep, curled up like a ball.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Good one Lukas! You made her run away!" Ted was angry. Ronie was really a good friend. But she seemed to have problem with her relationship with almost everyone.
"Come on! Now it's you who want to go in her pants!"
"Nobody wants to go into anybody's pants. You two calm down so we can come back to play." Said the singer. He had a low voice that inspired respect. He had always been like that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

"I'm sorry for yesterday. Lukas can be a dick!" Ted and Ronie were on the corridor leading outside.

She shrugged.

"But for the french thing we can work today. I don't have rehearsal." She nodded with a smile. "At my house, it's okay?" She nodded again. Would Brian be there?

"But minor Lukas, did you like the band?"

She nodded. "The bassist is great, and you are. But I guess the guitarist don't reach the same level."
He rose an eyebrow. "Why are you thinking that?"

She blushed deeply, realizing she had almost insulted the guy. "I'm sorry... it's just..."

"Hey come on, you can talk to me, I'm not gonna say it to him. Anyway he pisses us off most of the time."

"Then why is he here?" She asked, tilting the head. "Because we don't have anyone else." She nodded.
"But I still wanna know, why you think he is less good."

She took a deep breath. To give her the strength to say what she was thinking even if it was mean. "He keeps plays some accord wrong. On the D, he use the wrong string. At the end of the riff, the accord is a little wrong. I guess his finger is too far from the fret." She had say that really really quickly, and she closed her eyes, waiting for the next.

Ted stared at her. He was expecting something else. He wasn't expecting that she would be able to see so small details. Then an idea crossed his mind. "You're playing guitar?" He asked.

She blushed, and nodded. "Really?" He asked with wide eyes. She nodded again.
"What kind?"

"What I want to play." She whispered.

"I wanna hear you!" He exclaimed. She blushed even more. "No... I'm not that good..."
"I don't care I wanna hear." She was staring at her feet.

"Today, when you come, you play." She shouted him a shocked look. "At yours?" He nodded.
But... at his... there's... Brian.... what if he hear me? What if he think I'm a bad player? What if....

"Hey guys!" A low voice said. Ronie turned her head to find that they were already outside, and that the bassist/singer was walking to them.

"How are you two?" He asked.

"Good" Ted answered. Ronie stayed silent.

"I forget to introduce myself, yesterday, and I'm sure this goofy guy have forget too."

"I'm not stupid!"

The guy extended his hand, not caring one second of Ted.

"Kaleb"

"Romane" she shook his hand.

He smiled. He had a warm smile. She smiled back.

"Kal, Ronie just told me she plays guitar."

Kaleb rose an eyebrow. That little girl is playing guitar?

"What kind?"

"She don't tell, but she likes Avenged, so I guess it's good."

Kaleb smiled. That girl seemed to be full of surprises.

"Wanna come to mine to play?" Asked Kaleb.

"We were planning to go to mine, we have a stupid french work to do together."

"If you want, you can go and I'll do your part." She proposed.

He turned to her "That would be with pleasure but I wanna hear you playing."

She pouted. "Then you're doing your part." She said in a baby voice. Like a three years old sulking.

With that, they walked to Ted's house. There were no car in the alley, so they were alone.

He opened the door, and lead them to a room full of instruments, but mostly guitar.
Ted went to the kitchen to take some beers.

Ronie walked through the room, looking closely at every guitar.

"You find something, Ronie?" Ted asked. She blushed. "Better chose one, your going to play on one of those." Her eyes went wide.

"Really?"

Ted nodded. She choose one. It was a simple one. She didn't wanted to took one of the best, it wasn't her guitar.

She took it with her and went back to them.

"Good choice." Ted said. It was armed and black guitar. Ordinary form. But it seemed to be a good quality.

"Want a beer?" Ted asked. She nodded taking the last on the table, and drinking a big glup. The two guys were smiling.

She sat on the chair next to her, and plugged the guitar and the amp.

"What you're gonna play?" Asked Ted.

She thought about it. " Ben Threw, by Of Mice And Men."

Ted agreed with a smile. He loved that song.

She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. Remember. There's no one watching you. You're siting on your bed, and Romain is in front of you listening. Breath.

Then she started. She played the guitar perfectly. Maybe a little too fast, because of the stress. But it was perfect. She made the melody as good as Ashby played it.

The two guys kept staring at her for the whole song. She was amazing. They hadn't expected that.
As she finished she stayed eyes closed. Waiting for their reaction.

"Ronie, you're fucking great" Ted said.

She opened her eyes and rose her head, looking at him. When she saw that he was sincere, a huge smiled appeared on he face.

"Can you play something else?" Kaleb asked.

"I don't know" she said, looking at her feet.

The door opened suddenly. "Hey guys. Ted do you know where mo-What the fuck you're doing with my guitar??!" Brian asked angrily as he came in.

"Obviously, playing." Ted answered.

"Then on another guitar."

She was looking at it. His guitar . Her heart was beating loudly. She wanted to play again on that guitar.

"Don't be so fucking annoying! She wanted to play, it's one of the old ones, so it's okay."
"The old ones? It's my first electric guitar!"

His first guitar . Her heart was beating fast. But he was angry. She should let him the guitar. But she wanted to play.

Maybe if I play a song, they'll stop screaming at each other.

She closed her eyes. Took a deep breath. Opened back her eyes. Focused on her guitar. There were a tatooed hand on the head of the handle. She put her finger on the strings. Started moving her feet in the rhythm she was mentally singing. Then she started. Bat Country. The hand went away from the guitar, and they stopped. She didn't look at them. It would be hard to play, if she saw them looking at her.

Brian was looking at her. She had stole his guitar. And he wanted to take it back. He took the head of it. But she started to play. Bat Country. A really complicated song. Fast, with complicated chords. She was doing it perfectly. She was focused on the guitar.

He couldn't look away from her. From that little shy girl, who barely spoke, and who is fucking awesome with a guitar in her hands. She was wearing a dress, as always. She had found the time to change her clothes since high school. But now, with a guitar on her lap, smiling like a crazy, he found her beautiful. He couldn't explain it. She wasn't the kind of girl he was used to. he was used to the whore type. She was different. That was why he didn't understood what he felt. Some warm in his chest.

Then she started the solo. She did the whole solo. Okay, they were some mistakes, but it seemed that it was just that she couldn't have find the true notes. After all she never had him playing in front of her so just with video, it's difficult to listen and know exactly what the notes are. But it was good, like her own solo. Brian's heart was beating fast.

She finally stopped. The room stayed silent.

"Fuck, Ronie, that's fucking amazing!" Ted cheered, clapping his hands. She rose her head. She was bright red, but smiling like a fool.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yeah, man" Kaleb answered. She blushed even more.

Brian stayed silent. He was looking at the girl, trying to understand who she was. All he wanted was to listen to more songs, to play with her.

"Bri?" Ted asked.

He turned his head to his brother. "Hm?"

"What you're thinking about?"

"Nothing."

"Have you even listened to her?" Ted was becoming angry. For him, it was obvious that Ronie wanted Brian to approve her and her playing. It was obvious how much she looked up to him. But was he acting like an asshole? She had play his song, to prove him she was good, and he hadn't bothered into listening?!

"Yeah I've listen. And Romane, I have to say you're pretty good."

She was smiling like a kid at Christmas. He said I'm good!

Brian couldn't help but smile back. He let his eyes wandered on her body. Her little chest, the rest of her curves. Her hair. Her eyes. Her lips. Her lips. They seems sweet. If only I could ki-Brian what the fuck you're thinking about? He looked away.

"Ted?" He asked.

Ted turned to him. "Where are mom and dad?"

"Dunno"

"Fuck."

"Why?"

His girlfriend told him she wanted a date tonight. But he had forget to tell it to his parents, and he knew them they would call a hundred times to show him how much he needed to tell them when he couldn't be there. And he hated when they called when they were doing ... some personal things.
But he wasn't on the mood right now. He didn't wanted to leave.

"Nothing."
