Coming Home

(Zacky's POV)

I woke up the next morning to the faint sound of someone snoring softly in my ear.I shifted slightly to the right only to see Marigold sleeping peacefully beside me, with her arms wrapped around my neck tightly.I had to say, this was a sight that I definitely had gotten used to seeing over the years and damn did I miss it."Good morning." I smiled, seeing her yawn and rub her eyes before scooting closer to me."Morning Mr.Baker.A little hungover this morning?" She chuckled with a smirk.I shrugged a bit."Not really, thanks to you." I winked, making her cheeks flush pink.

I rolled over on my side so I was face to face with her."Thank you for coming to take care of me, Mari.I'm sorry for what happened yesterday, you know, with Gena and everything.I acted stupid." I apologized full heartedly to her because she deserved it more than anybody else.I felt her arms tighten around me as I kissed the tip of her nose gently."I already forgave you." She breathed before I leaned in to give her a kiss.

Something I knew the both of us greatly needed.

I couldn't help but laugh at the expression on her face once we pulled away."Don't worry I'll go brush and shower now." I groaned, rolling out of the bed and heading over towards the bathroom."I wasn't complaining." She said with a wink before I closed the door and started on my routine.

(Marigold's POV)

"You guys what!?" Val screeched loudly into the phone, making my ears ring."Shhh! We just kissed, nothing else.I don't know what we're doing today, but he said its only us." I said lowly so Zacky didn't over hear me."Well I want full details when you get back.Matt and me are going to see some scary movie.I think he'll be more scared then me." I couldn't help but laugh loudly at the thought of that scenario."Ok well I'll talk to you later on, love ya." I sighed before hanging up.

"I assume you were talking to Val?" Zacky chuckled as he walked in from the shower, his hair still dripping wet."Yeah, she's going to the movies with Matt." I said in between a yawn while stretching out my arms."Well we're gonna do something fun, don't worry." He reassured me.I nodded before getting up out of the bed, swaying over to him.

"Alright well I'm gonna go change. I borrowed some clothes too by the way." I said with a cheeky grin, giving him a soft kiss on the cheek."No problem doll." He said as I headed into the bathroom.After about 20 minutes of messing around with my hair and make up, I finally emerged from the bathroom.I settled on Zacky's Jack Daniels shirt and my tight black skinny jeans with a simple pair of flats.

I looked around and noticed Zacky had went out to his balcony, cigarette and phone in hand.He was talking to somebody about fixing a guitar."Alright thanks Jason, see ya later dude." He said as I stepped out and stood beside him."The Berry brothers are gonna fix my baby." He smiled happily, exhaling a cloud of smoke.I chuckled, slipping my arm through his and hugging on to him tight."Good that means I can finally see Avenged play." I said with a grin.He bent down and kissed the top of my head.

"Of course.So you ready for our date, gorgeous?" I nodded with a smile."Lets get a move on then." He said as we headed down and out the front door.

(Zacky's POV)

After the long day and night that I had, I felt it was only right to finally make things right between Marigold and I.It all felt like it was moving really quick, but I knew it deep down inside that it was all really meant to happen this way."We're going to LA?" She asked curiously as I got on the freeway.I smiled slightly."Something like that darling." I had decided to head out to Santa Monica instead if the usual dating spots for mine and Marigold's date.I was gonna take her out to the pier to the theme park.

"So you never told me why you're being so nice to me, Zack." She said with a soft laugh.I held onto her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze."Because you deserve it babe." I said truthfully.We finally got to the beach around noon, I helped Marigold out of the car and we headed on toward the pier.I couldn't help but smile at the look in her eyes as she saw the Ferris wheel and roller coaster come into view.

"Zacky! It's amazing!" She exclaimed in a cheerful voice, hugging onto me as tight as she could.I couldn't resist the temptation and gave her another soft kiss on the lips."Good, now come on lets go get some tickets." She only breathed out a simple "Ok." before we went off to enjoy our day.

I did my best to give her the best date ever.I bought her popcorn, ice cream, went on every ride, and won her a teddy bear that she just had to have."Ready to go back babe? The guys want to have a barbecue at Brian's.Unless you want to stay at my house?" I asked her while we started on the walk back to my car."No no we can go, of course I don't mind.I miss the girls anyways." She said with a hopeful grin.I helped her into the car, giving her another kiss before getting in myself.

(Marigold's POV)

"Val! Lenny!" I yelled as I saw my two favorite girls come in sight once we had got to Brian's house."Mari! We missed you!" We all hugged, laughing loudly.Even though it had only been a few hours since I had last seen them, we had a way of showing our friendship that only the 3 of us understood."You guys are so weird." Matt scoffed, looking at us with a confused look.I stuck my tongue out at him, making the other 2 laugh."So! How was your date with Zacky?" Val asked as we sat down on some lounge chairs beside Brian's pool.

I couldn't help to hide the smile that crept on to my face."Honestly it was great.We went to Santa Monica and played on the pier.He even won me a teddy bear." Val and Lena proceeded to make cooing noises and giggled like teenage girls."How cute! You guys are adorable." Val beamed, grinning at me like a proud parent.i looked over at Lena who agreed completely."I just don't think anything is official yet though." I sighed, shrugging slightly.

"Well don't worry babe, things will work out just fine." Val assured me, before we all simultaneously took a sip from our 40s that Brian had handed us as he passed by to help out Matt with the food.I casually peered over to the patio where Zacky, Johnny, and Jimmy were smoking cigarettes and laughing.I caught Zacky's eye briefly, causing him to smile."Hey can I uh, sit with you guys?" Johnny's girlfriend Lacey suddenly asked, making me turn to look at her."Of course, don't be shy." Lena greeted, patting the chair beside her.

I took another sip at my beer before standing up out of my seat."I'll be back girls, I'm gonna go talk to Zacky." I said then headed towards the patio.I stood beside him nervously, not sure whether or not I should hold his hand, but I decided to do it anyways.He eagerly held onto it tightly."Don't worry about anything, Marigold.Nothing has changed." Zacky reassured me, giving me a light peck on the cheek.

I knew Zacky was right.Even though I had distanced myself from everything over those 4 years, I knew nothing had ever chnged between me and all the guys.Especially mine and Zacky's relationship.Nobody was more accepting than the guys, even when Gena was in the picture.

I gladly shared a bowl with the Berry brothers, the smoke instantly burning my throat.I hugged onto Zacky tightly, inhaling his scent."Having a good time?" He asked, looking down at me.I shook my head, kissing him shyly."Good." He gave me another swift kiss before Brian had all called for us to come and eat.

Finally feeling the happiest I've ever felt since returning to Huntington.
