Classics in Summertime
There was something about his eyes and the way he talked. He had stubble that had been around for days and a car filled with clothes that couldn't last half that. He wasn't supposed to be there and we both knew it. He was a city boy, out in the country, looking for a fresh start.
- "Oh, what a gentleman!"
- “Do you mind if I call you that?”
- "It's beautiful out here, isn't it?"
- "Don't make promises you can't keep, Ev."
- “You’ve been hanging out with that city boy a lot.”
- "Might not be pretty but it runs good."
- “I really hope that flashlight of yours has batteries.”
- "Any surprises this time?"
- “You know it kills me when you’re with him, Ev.”
- “So, is this the kind of music you listen to?”
- "Now, hop into the truck and don’t ask any questions.”
- “Maybe there’s a reason for that.”
- “You don’t look fine."
- “So many questions for such a small girl.”
- “It looks even more beautiful in the daylight."
- "What sort of agenda is that?"
- “So, do you think you’ll miss me while I’m gone?”
- “Do you need any help with your bags?"
- “See, that wasn’t so bad.”
- "But that stays between us."
