The Room

The red room was exactly how everyone described it in the books. It was so dark that no shadows formed. I couldn’t even see the hand I put in front of my face.

I tiptoed farther inside, the floorboard’s creaks sending chills up and down my spine. A voice boomed at my right while there was a piercing crash to my left. I jumped and looked all around. I thought I saw a skeleton walking towards me. I couldn’t be sure if that’s what it was, but I didn’t want to find out.

I fled the room, too scared to look back.
