Teenage Casanova

JUST KEEP BREATHING - PART II

Audrey Hepburn once said, “The most important thing is to enjoy your life. To be happy. It’s all that matters.”

The truth was, Kennedy always wondered when her life got off track from that; from the happiness. So many things had happened in her life that she was sure she could pinpoint it and say, “That’s it. That’s the moment everything changed.” But the thing was she didn’t want to have to think that way. She didn’t want to have to point out the moment when everything fell apart.

All she wanted was to be happy. She wanted to go about her life in a way that could truly make her feel okay. Adventures and love and hope; it’s all what she wanted. She just wanted to find something, or even someone at that, who truly got her one hundred percent. Who could make her happy again.

That was all that mattered.

She slowly came to, her vision completely blurry. The only thing she could see was the outline of a figure leaning over her. She listened closely, trying to figure out the situation at hand and heard the low mumbling of a male voice and being able to make out the words “please be okay” over and over again.

She let her eyes close again, the exhausted feeling taking over and letting her drift in and out of consciousness. She just couldn’t keep focus enough to figure out what was happening and who was wishing her to be okay. Kennedy tried to keep herself awake, to open her eyes and deal with everything, but it was way too hard.

“Kennedy?” The voice spoke again, this time with a little more concern in their voice. She groaned slightly, only letting her head loll sideways in response to the person. “Kennedy, are you okay? Can you hear me?”

She wanted to speak up, to let the person know that she was okay, but she couldn’t get the words to form properly. That same exhaustion was seeming to win over as she drifted back into an unconscious state, her thoughts and mind going absolutely insane.

Lately, her dreams had been filled with Zayn; the boy she was starting to feel things for. He was so wonderful and so amazing that she just couldn’t help but dream about him. Every now and again it felt like her dreams were trying to tell her something; like they wanted her to finally accept that something would actually happen between them. That it was okay to let go and let this guy come into her life.

And every time she would let it. She would give into Zayn via her dreams and just let everything happen. She often wondered if she should listen to them and really tell Zayn that she was ready to be with him. But, most of the time, she would chicken out before she even got the chance. She never was one to truly express herself or her feelings and now it felt like she had no choice in the matter.

She thought back to the happiness that she was missing and definitely aching for. Could Zayn be that person? Was he the person that could truly get her and would truly care for her no matter what? Was he the one for her?

It had only been around a month since the two had met, but even so she’s felt like she can be herself around him. Like it was okay to talk to him and be near him and just let go with him. She’s never felt that with anyone before, not even Riley. And it was thoughts like these that made her wonder if it were time to accept her feelings.

But this dream wasn’t filled with Zayn like they usually were. No, this dream was all about the one person she never wanted to dream about: Harry. The curly headed bastard who has done nothing but make her have a miserable summer. The idiot who tried to seduce her and then went around and slept with her sister not long after. The horrible person who she knew was using her sister and dating her for some damn reason she just couldn’t understand.

Only this wasn’t that Harry. The person in her dreams was kind and funny and caring. It was a side of him she had never ever seen and wasn’t sure she ever would if it wasn’t in dream form. He was charging towards her and grabbing onto her arms to pull her away from danger. He was actually saving her life and saying all the right things.

And it was genuine. It was honestly genuine and it surprised her. She wanted him to stay. She wanted this Harry to stay and never leave from her life. And it really, really scared her to feel this way.

“Kennedy? Please wake up…” The voice invaded her dreams, but this time it came from Harry’s mouth. She finally was able to pinpoint that it actually had belonged to him all along. She stared at the green eyed boy, not sure what was going on. “Come on, open your eyes.”

“Harry?” She reached out to him, but as she did it seemed like he was only getting further and further away. She walked closer, trying so hard to catch him, but her efforts were no good. She felt her feet carrying her faster and faster after him, praying and wishing to get closer. “Harry, wait!” She honestly had no idea why she was chasing after him, but no matter how hard she tried to stop, her heart kept telling her to push forward until she made it.

Out of nowhere she felt something slam into her and bring her out of her dream state. Her eyes shot open and she gasped quickly. She sat up quickly and placed her hand against her chest, coughing over and over again like she couldn’t breathe. She continued to gasp for air and finally it managed to get to her lungs and she could breathe again. Her heart rate eventually settled and she felt her muscles relaxing.

“Oh my God.”

She felt a pair of hands wrap around her and she was pulled against them. She managed to look up during the hug and her eyes immediately widened when she saw who had initiated it.

Harry? What the hell was going on? She wanted to pull away and get away from him, but found herself unable to. Instead, she felt her arms wrap around him slowly and she rested against him. It was like she was still dreaming and this was the same Harry she had envisioned in it.

Eventually he pulled away and rested one hand on her shoulder while the other was placed against her cheek. He stared at her with wide eyes, his expression mixed with concern and confusion. “You’re okay?” his voice was even more concerned as it cracked a tiny bit. “Are you okay, Kennedy?”

“I think so?” She wasn’t exactly sure if she was trying to convince him or herself of that answer. Everything was so confusion and she had no idea what was going on and why he looked so afraid. Hell, she didn’t even know why she wasn’t sitting there and screaming at him like she usually did. “What happened?”

He relaxed a little, letting out a small sigh of relief that she seemed okay. He pulled his hand off of her cheek and pointed it over his shoulder. She was a little confused, but let her eyes follow in that direction. Once they landed on what he was pointed at she immediately wished that she hadn’t done that.

She felt her heart plummet as she stared at the spot she was standing in not that long ago, but this time instead of an open clearing it was completely stacked in rocks and rubble. She looked around quickly, trying to see if there was another way out, but came up empty in that search and found herself looking back at the entrance. This couldn’t be happening. She really prayed that this wasn’t happening. She closed her eyes quickly, squeezing them shut and wishing that it was all a dream and that once she opened their eyes she would be back with their group and not in any danger.

Unfortunately those kinds of things only happen in cartoons and TV shows and this was, sadly, none of the above. She opened them again and cursed to herself that she was actually in this situation. Not only that, but she was in this situation with someone that she never really wanted to be in with.

“Don’t be scared, okay?” Harry placed his hand on top of her head and gave a small smile, trying to reassure her that it was going to be alright. “I’m gonna get us out of this mess, alright? We’ll be fine.”

She watched as Harry got up from the ground and shuffle over to the blocked path. He struggled to move some rocks and, eventually, only created a bigger mess than before. She couldn’t help but smile though, watching him get so frustrated every time more rocks would fall into place of the ones he would move.

She did notice something, though. At one point when Harry moved a rock, he winced and quickly let it drop to the ground and held onto his elbow. She raised an eyebrow at him, a little curious as to what was going on.

“Are you…hurt?” She pushed herself off the ground and moved over towards him, taking his arm in her hands. He instantly pulled away, biting his lip and making a displeased face. “You are hurt! Why didn’t you tell me?” She led him back over to the spot they were in previously and helped him sit back down, both of them forgetting about escaping for a minute.

“I was worried about you and it doesn’t hurt that bad.” She stared at him with a dumbfounded expression before reaching forward and slapping his arm softly. He let out a yelp and held it tighter, whimpering slightly.

“That’s what I thought,” she chuckled as she took his arm again to look it over. She let her fingers glide over his skin, putting pressure on some parts and earning a grumble every now and again. “Well, I don’t think it’s broken. You probably bruised the bone pretty bad though so when we get out of here you should get it checked out at a clinic or something, okay?” She looked up and gave him a smile, trying to make him feel better. He just nodded in reply, smiling back at her.

She was about to move away and let him take care of it on his own when it hit her. She remembered the feeling of being hit by something and tried really hard to remember what had happened before she awoke. The image of Harry popped into her mind and she was immediately taken back by it and looked over at him.

“Harry?” He glanced in her direction. “Why did you save me? You could have easily just let those rocks crush me and then I would be out of your hair forever. So why…?” She couldn’t wrap her head around it. The two obviously didn’t get along, so why would he risk his own life to save hers?

“You think I was just going to let you die? How could you think that?” He seemed surprised by her question and she watched as the anger rose slowly to his face. He clenched his teeth, getting upset more and more by the passing seconds. “Believe it or not, I’m not that bad of a guy, Kennedy. I wasn’t just going to let you die, okay?” He let out a staggered huff, shaking his head. “When you were knocked out I… I was so damn scared that you were really hurt! Dammit, I don’t want to see you hurt, got it?!”

She stared wide eyed at him as she wasn’t expecting that kind of reaction from her question. She honestly couldn’t believe that these words were coming out of this guy’s mouth. It was like it was the same Harry she had dreamed about and it wasn’t the guy who had tried to sleep with her and kept doing bad thing after bad thing.

She felt her stomach doing flips and bit her lip, trying not to remember how badly she wanted this guy in her dream. A part of her still wanted to reach out to him. She wanted to reach out to him and wrap her arms around him. He had saved her life and she just wanted to hold onto him and thank him. Of course she wasn’t going to. Something was still holding her back and she didn’t know what it was.

She didn’t want to think about him this way, too. All summer so far he has done nothing but prove her point that he was a bad guy. This was the only time during the period she has known him that he has done anything practically human. He was acting like a completely different person and a part of her really liked him this way. Like in her dream, she wanted him to stay. She didn’t want to see that horrible guy she knew.

“Thank you,” she smiled softly at him. “Thank you for saving my life. I really owe you big time when we get out of here.”

He just chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck, a little embarrassed by the sudden change in mood. He wasn’t used to hearing her say things like this and it kind of caught him off guard. “It’s no big deal, really. Plus if you died who would I have around to both and mess with?”

Well, that didn’t last long. Though, she couldn’t help but laugh slightly at how ridiculous he was. Was he trying to be funny? She supposed that it was working a little bit.

“Whoa, wait,” he moved forward, looking at her cautiously. He touched her head slightly and observed her before sighing. “Kennedy, you’re bleeding.” She involuntarily reached up to touch it, but only met his hand. She blushed quickly, pulling away. “Here, let me help you.” She was about to ask him what he could possibly do to help her, but instantly froze when she saw him reach down and start to pull his shirt over his head.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. This was possibly heading down a path she didn’t want to go down with him. This whole situation felt like some big drama movie and Kennedy was in no way about to be the love interest for said boy. Though, even though she wasn’t interested in him, she couldn’t help but glance down at his body during her one moment of weakness.

She may not have been his biggest fan, but there was no doubt that he was absolutely fit. That she was sure of.

She was ready to swat his hand away, not sure what he was going to do and why he was kneeling there shirtless. He just rolled his eyes at her and pushed forward, balling his shirt up and pressing it against her head. She winced as soon as the fabric hit her wound and made a face, not liking the feeling one bit.

“That stings!” she whined a little.

Harry just chuckled and shook his head, amused by her. “I just want to make sure the bleeding stops and you don’t die right in front of me, okay? Like I said before, who would I annoy if you were gone?” Harry smirked a little as he teased her, only receiving a half smile in return from her.

What was going on? She couldn’t believe that she was even smiling at his dumb jokes, let alone smiling around in altogether. Never in a million years would she ever picture herself in this kind of situation. Not only that, but in this kind of situation with the guy she hated almost more than anyone.

But still, she couldn’t help but continue smiling and watching him as he took care of her. He really was acting different and she really was pleased with this. Her smile soon faded though when she tensed as he placed his free hand on her cheek and put more pressure to her forehead wound.

“You sure you’re okay? You could possibly have a concussion since you hit your head pretty hard.” He let his thumb draw circles over and over again on her cheek, trying to keep her calm and not focus on any other pain.

That could be a possibility. Hell, she wouldn’t doubt it with the way she was acting. On any other day she probably would have yelled and screamed at him for even being near her, but right now she was actually smiling at his dumb jokes?

“I’m fine,” she mumbled, feeling a little weird when Harry got a little closer. She hadn’t been this close to him since probably the night she handcuffed him to a bed and she unfortunately didn’t have any on her this time. Harry didn’t look convinced though as he continued helping her and trying to make her as comfortable as possible. “Harry, I said I’m fine.”

He sighed and met her eyes, that same concerned look crossing his face which still surprised her. Was this honestly the same Harry she was arguing with not that long ago? The thought of maybe either him hitting his own head and transforming into a completely different person or even being a doppelganger taking his place crossed her mind.

She couldn’t take her eyes off of him as he constantly checked her head wound to make sure everything was okay. It felt like she was seeing this other side of him that she had never seen before and it really was shocking her. He almost seemed normal; like an actual genuine person. Kennedy just continued to hope that maybe if Harry did hit his head too that this one would stay and the other one would disappear forever.

“You’re staring,” he let out a small laugh, catching her off guard. Was she? She hadn’t even noticed. She instantly went red, realizing what she had done and sat up quickly. She pushed him away, not wanting him to get any ideas from this. He cringed slightly when she pushed his arm and gripped it, biting down on his lip.

“Oh, sorry!” she apologized quickly. He just waved her off, taking a few seconds to relax against the pain before sighing and sitting down fully next to her. She took his lead and also relaxed, sitting there and fiddling with her fingers. “So, we need to get out of here.” She tried to change the subject quickly.

“Don’t worry, alright? They’ll come and get us soon. They’ve probably realized we’re missing and are looking for us as we speak.” She looked at him, feeling a little better with his reassuring words.

That still didn’t stop her from panicking slightly. She wondered if any of them would even think of going up and checking the mountain, let alone checking a blocked off cave. Who would even think of that? She hoped Zayn would, but she wasn’t exactly sure. She just prayed that someone would find them soon and things could get back to normal.

But did she want things to go back to normal? Normal meant that her and Harry would go back to hating each other and acting like none of this ever happened. She had seen a change in him, just over the past hour. He seemed genuinely worried about her and she wasn’t sure she could forget about that so easily.

The silence captivated the both of them and they sat there awkwardly, neither of them knowing what to say. She was too caught up in her own thoughts about what was going to happen once they got out of there, if they got out of there and she had no idea what he could be thinking about.

Hell, for all she knew he could be plotting her murder so in case they were trapped there he could eat her for meat. Well, it happens on TV. She really needed to stop comparing her own life to television, because if she kept it up she might have to fight off a carnivorous Harry sometime soon.

She couldn’t stand the silence anymore after what seemed like forever, which was only maybe an hour, passed by. It was driving her crazy and she finally turned to face the boy sitting next to her. “Harry?”

“Yeah?” He looked up from the stick he was playing with.

“Why are you in Barcelona?” Well, they didn’t have anything better to talk about, so why not make small talk? “I’m just curious as to how you got here. You know I came with my sister for vacation. So are you here just taking a holiday?”

He looked at her for a while, trying to figure out what to say or how to get out of explaining his own situation. He eventually sighed, giving up on finding any reason to avoid talking about the inevitable. “It’s a long story and I can’t really explain without going into detail that I’m sure you don’t want to hear..”

“If you haven’t noticed we aren’t going anywhere,” she chuckled and so did he in response. “Just tell me. I’m so bored.”

“I guess you’re right.” He stretched out, trying to get comfortable as if he was about to tell some long fairytale to a bunch of kids. But, in this case, he was about to tell Kennedy a story of something she wasn’t that interested in hearing, but decided it was better than sitting in an awkward silence. “Where do I start? Well,” he scratched his chin, trying to figure out the best wording. “I grew up in a pretty well off family. I had money and basically anything I wanted.”

She figured that his life would be something along those lines. Sure, she was told all the time not to judge a book by its cover, but Harry was very easy to read. He seemed like he was always throwing money around and like he had everything he ever wanted.

But she couldn’t help but hear a slight sadness in his voice. Was he not happy with how he grew up? How could he not? She figured she would kill to grow up in a wealthy family and have everything she ever dreamed of.

“Well, almost everything, I guess. There was always just that one thing I really wanted more than anything that never seemed to come.”

“What was that?” She was a little intrigued as she stared at him.

“My parents,” he smiled sadly and she couldn’t help but feel her heart sink at his answer. What did that mean? “Of course they were always there, but they were never really there. Does that make sense?” She shrugged, not really getting him and he let out a huff. “Basically, they were more worried about business than raising their son. I came second and business always came first.”

She had never expected that kind of response from Harry. He seemed so happy and carefree most of the time that she never realized that he could have grown up this way. It was honestly a little baffling and she felt sort of bad.

“I wanted nothing more than to just have them around, you know? I could have given everything we had up for it. I didn’t care about being rich or popular or any of that; I just wanted my family to act like one.” He pulled his knees up to his chest and rested his head on them, frowning slightly. “I really would have given anything to make my dad proud of me and just see me…”

“Your dad?” She reached over and touched his arm slightly, trying to make him feel better. He kind of just shrugged her away, though, obviously upset from talking about it.

“My father,” he sighed. She could hear the anger and confusion in his voice when he mentioned him. “No matter what I do I just can’t please him. I just want him to notice me and not think of me as a failure.” He turned his head away from her and reached his hand up, wiping something off of his face. “I don’t want him to think of me as a disappointment anymore.”

She opened her mouth, but no words came out. She wasn’t sure, but she thought she could see him wiping tears away as he spoke. Her heart sank even farther as she continued looking at him.

She had no idea that Harry was going through all of this. She had figured that his family life must have been so good because of his money and everything, but she hadn’t expected for this guy to have all of that on his plate.

“And, of course all I seem to do is disappoint him so much more lately.” She cocked her head sideways, waiting for him to continue to explain. “You see, my family owns this company that deals with trading and all that kind of stuff in the UK. Hell, we’re one of the most important companies out there. And my dad wants me to take over the company when he retires soon. Like, the entire company.”

“You don’t want that?”

He shook his head, finally looking over at her. She saw that his eyes were a little puffy and she was certain now that he had been tearing up a little bit. “I don’t want that at all. I don’t want all this responsibility and everything that will come if I take over. I’m not ready for that, Kennedy. And he doesn’t understand.”

“So you’ve told him you feel this way?” she asked as she scooted a little closer to him and placed her hand on his shoulder.

“I tell him every time we talk. Even this morning he called me and kept trying to hassle an answer out of me. He just doesn’t get that I’m nineteen years old and all I want to do is do what normal nineteen year old boys do,” he explained, averting her eyes for a moment and looking away. “I want to go to college eventually and have fun and party. I just want to do my own thing and not be responsible for this company. I just don’t know what I want yet other than that.”

She sat there in awe, not expecting any of that to come from him. She couldn’t wrap her mind around the fact that Harry was actually acting like a real person and not this casanova–like guy that she was used to. This was all coming from his heart and honestly believed that.

Kennedy couldn’t believe herself what she did next as she leaned over and wrapped her arms around him. He must have been surprised too, because he tensed against her as she clung onto him and leaned her head on his shoulder. Harry eventually softened up and mimicked her moves, hugging her tightly.

“I’m sorry that you have all this pressure on you,” she pulled away slightly, her arms still slightly wrapped around him. She gave him a smile and shrugged. “It’s okay to not know what you want and it’s okay to not want to take over the company. This is your life, Harry. Nobody can tell you how to live it. Not your dad, not me, not anyone except you.”

Harry stared at her, his eyes shimmering as if he were about to tear up again. He looked so upset, yet at the same time a smile crept to his face and he quickly pulled her close again, hugging her a little tighter than before. Her heart thumped loudly in her chest and it felt like something had sparked inside from their interaction.

What the hell, she thought as she tried to shake the feeling away.

“Thank you,” he whispered into her shoulder. “I really needed to hear that from somebody. So thank you.” He pulled away and smiled as the two rested back into how they were sitting not that long ago, only this time they were a bit closer.

“Can I ask you one more thing?” she piped up again.

“If you must.” He looked over at her, waiting for it.

“Why do you mess with all these girls? I’m just honestly curious.” Of course the question had been up in her head for so long now. She just didn’t understand how the Harry she had experienced today could possibly be the same one that has a bad reputation for sleeping and leaving girls all the time. And especially how he could be the same guy that tried to seduce her.

He sighed and shook his head. “That’s another story for another day.” She decided to just let it go and not question him more, not really sure if she actually wanted to hear the answer. She was sure it had to be bad and probably had nothing meaningful behind it. He probably just liked messing with girls for the fun of it.

Kennedy slumped back, her mind trailing away from Harry and all of his problems and back to the main problem that was at hand: what the hell they were going to do. She glanced around, the cave getting a bit darker by the passing minutes. The only light that shone through was that of the moon peeking through a small hole and barely lighting anything.

She felt the panic start to rise in her again as the thought of nobody ever coming to rescue them crossed her mind. She felt sick to her stomach thinking about it and could honestly feel the tears threatening to escape as she huddled close to herself to keep warm.

The only thing that was keeping her sane at all was the fact that Harry was there too and, even if she were to die, at least she wouldn’t have to die alone. Wait. She made a face at the thought and shook it away. She really didn’t want to die with the guy, despite everything that had happened while they were alone.

“What’s wrong?” Harry spoke up again, making her jump from the break in the silence. She looked over at him, her face still filled with panic. “Kennedy, are you okay?” He shifted his position a little.

She sighed and shook her head, trying not to freak out even more. “I’m just afraid that nobody is going to find us,” she admitted, her voice cracking slightly and completely shaky. She hated thinking about it, but she just couldn’t shake the feeling.

Harry could hear the panic in her voice and he pulled away quickly, still staring at her. He placed his hand on her knee and kept his eyes locked with hers. “Kennedy, listen to me okay?” He looked so serious as Kennedy waited for him to continue with whatever he was going on about. “I promise you that I’m gonna get you out of here. I promise.”

She was taken aback by the seriousness in his voice and expression. For some reason just hearing those words calmed her a little bit and she just nodded in response.

Harry got up quickly and jogged over to the blocked entrance. She watched him intensely and saw him ponder what he was going to do to get them out of there. He struggled with a few of the rocks, ignoring the immense pain that was shooting through his sore arm. He wasn’t going to let her down and Kennedy felt her heart beating fast just at the thought of that.

He managed to get one of the rocks loose and tumbled back as it knocked to the ground at his feet and clearing a small opening that allowed him to peer out of the cave. He smiled widely and quickly moved back to it, looking out and praying that something good would come out of this. Lucky for him, it did.

He listened closely and could hear the distant sound of someone talking and, if he wasn’t imagining things, the sight of flashlights from a bit away. He looked back at Kennedy and smiled before looking back out and yelling, “Someone! Help us!”

Kennedy sat up all the way and looked at him. “What is it? Is someone out there?” Her heart was pounding once again at the thought of them actually being rescued. “Please tell me that somebody is out there, Harry.”

They waited in silence for a few minutes and she sunk back down, feeling ultimately defeated. So nobody was coming after all. She should have expected it. Her sister and their friends would continue on with their lives and her and Harry would be another story in the history books. Probably some myth even about the two idiots who got stuck in a cave and were never seen again.

Harry jumped back when he heard a voice close by, not expecting it. He looked through the hole and was so relieved when he saw a familiar raven haired boy standing on the other end of the hole.

“Harry? Are you okay?” Zayn asked, his voice completely broken up from all the worry. Harry just nodded, knowing that the worry wasn’t for him. “Is Kennedy with you?” Another nod from Harry’s end and Zayn sighed in relief as he ran a hand through his hair. “Thank God.”

“Just help me move these rocks, okay? Can you all help?”

Zayn nodded and the two of them began messing around with the rocks in the way, moving them one after another and eventually being joined by the rest of the group. Kennedy eventually sat back up, wondering what was going on. Her eyes quickly lit up at the sound of everyone working together to free them and she jumped to her feet, jogging over to lend a hand.

Harry smiled at her so softly. “I told you we would get out of here. I never break a promise.” She returned his smile and nodded, feeling so much better than she previously did. They were going to get out and everything would go back to normal. It was all going to finally be okay.

After a while a bunch of rocks began to tumble down and Harry quickly secured Kennedy and backed both of them up to keep them safe. They watched as they all crumbled to the ground and clear the path to freedom finally.

Both her and Harry quickly walked out of there, not wanting to spend any more time than they needed to in there. She was immediately met by a frantic Hannah and a strong hug from her older sister.

“Oh, Kennedy! I was so scared that something happened to you! I thought mom and dad was going to kill me!” She cried onto her sister and Kennedy couldn’t help but smile. Yeah, things were getting back to normal now that Hannah was acting like herself.

“I’m fine, Hannah Banana. No need to worry. I’m just a little banged up.” She pushed her reluctant sister off of her and chuckled. She couldn’t help but laugh at the thought of how scared Hannah was and how much she was freaking out about being in trouble for losing her sister.

After the sister’s reunion she finally moved over to Zayn, who was waiting patiently in the wing for her to finish with Hannah. She grinned widely and practically threw herself into his arms, earning a tight and strong hug from the boy. She had missed being in his arms and was so relieved to finally be reunited with him.

“I was so worried about you,” he whispered in her ear. “I thought I had lost you forever and it really made me think that I don’t want that to happen ever.”

She felt her heart beating fast as she heard the words that she was so happy to hear from him. It only made her revisits her thoughts of confessing to him and giving in and she was a bit worried about that. Was she ready? Would she ever be ready? By the way Zayn was holding her she felt like she was, but at the same time she couldn’t help but glance over his shoulder and stare at Harry, who was being embraced by Hannah.

He must have known that she was staring at him because seconds later his eyes met hers and they were locked in together. And that’s when she saw it again; the same Harry she had gotten to know during their captivity. The genuine boy who worried about whether his father would ever accept him or not. The same guy who had saved her life and made sure that she knew they would be okay.

Her stomach dropped as she continued to stare at him, both of them consumed in their own moment as their partner’s continued to hug and let them know they were happy they were okay. What is going on? She tried to shake the feeling and just be there with Zayn, but for some reason she just couldn’t look away from Harry.

It was definitely a startling feeling.

Harry, you’ve surprised me today. Please don’t make me regret feeling this way.

ATTENTION ATTENTION ATTENTION!!!!!!
Okay so I unfortunately have come into less time during my weeks now because I got a job and I won’t have as much time as I usually have to update every week. So we will be switching the schedule to every other Friday from now on. Please don’t be mad I wish I could stay on the same schedule, but my weeks will start getting crowded and I think switching to this new schedule will put less stress on me to write while working too. Don’t worry, I won’t give up on the story (I would never!) I just had to switch to this new schedule unfortunately. I will however still be on tumblr so you can always go there and ask me to write mini ficlets and drabbles to get you by during the week! I hope you’ll stick around as there’s still much story to tell! And a lot of exciting things to be happening in the coming chapters that I’m excited for! Thanks for understanding. (:

Moving on! Ahhh they got time to talk. They really needed that. You gotta think if they haven’t have gotten trapped then Kennedy probably wouldn’t have given Harry the time of day and they wouldn’t have had those conversations. (: And they made it out! What’s going to happen now? Hmmm guess you’ll have to wait and see!

Question Time:
1.) Do you think Harry did the right thing by admitting his troubles to her?
