Teenage Casanova

I MUST BE DREAMING

What in the world am I going to do?

Kennedy couldn’t help but smile as she laid on Zayn’s bed and watched as he painted away on the canvas nearby. He had the most intense and concentrated look on his face and would glance up only occasionally to look at her, not saying a word before looking back down and continuing with his art.

It wasn’t the first time she had seen him paint, nor would it probably be the last. They had been hanging out so much lately that it felt like a daily part of her routine now; seeing Zayn, being with Zayn, and basically doing anything that had to do with Zayn Malik. It was like everything in her life was starting to revolve around the one person she really didn’t mind letting it revolve around. They could do absolutely nothing and she would still love being near him.

It was only making her decision ever harder though. The more time she spent with Zayn, the more it was making her even more conflicted. She knew where Zayn stood and she knew he promised that he’d wait for her. So why couldn’t she just see that he’s an amazing guy and give in already? Why couldn’t she just say yes and just be with him?

What was holding her back still?

“Don’t make that face,” Zayn piped up and she quickly darted her eyes in that direction, forgetting all about her worries and focusing on him. She scrunched her face up in confusion, wondering what in the world he was talking about. “Kennedy, stop it. You’re ruining it.”

“Ruining what?”

He stared at her for a few moments before finally smiling, letting out a small sigh and putting his paints down on the floor. He got up from his stool and climbed up on the bed right next to her, getting a little closer than she had expected. She didn’t mind though, even though her stomach was doing major flips as he cozied up next to her and leaned his head on the pillow she had hers on. He crossed his arms and continued to grin in her direction, which only made her even more nervous. The closeness always did that to her. Well, really it was just Zayn that had that effect on her.

He leaned in a bit closer, his face only inches from hers as he let out a small huff. “Your pretty face.” His voice was so soft that it made her almost melt to pieces right then and there. She couldn’t help but blush, feeling embarrassed by his comment since she didn’t always hear it from people. “Though, that blush does look good on you.”

Zayn placed his hand on her face, caressing her softly as she closed her eyes and melted against his touch. She knew what was about to happen next and she knew there was no point in stopping it now. She was too far in to pull away.

Their lips met so softly that she wasn’t even sure if they were kissing. It wasn’t until the bed shifted below them and Zayn was leaning a little farther over top of her that she knew it was happening. She pushed her lips a little harder against his as her arms lazily wrapped around his neck.

Despite their unknown status regarding what they were and weren’t, the kissing was something that happened a lot more often than she thought it would. It started with that small kiss on her bed the day he told her that he would wait for her, but now it seemed like every time they were together some kind of kissing would initiate. She just couldn’t help but go with it. It was Zayn, after all, and he was amazing.

But it didn’t stop those confusion feelings that would build inside after a few minutes of kissing. They were the reason she pulled away each time and also the reason they weren’t anything more than friends. Though, she wasn’t sure if friend was the right words to describe her and Zayn. There was obviously something more there, even if she wasn’t ready to admit it.

She touched his face slightly as she pulled away only a little bit, taking a breath for air, but also putting a stop to today’s little session. She leaned her forehead against his and couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle. “You really gotta stop kissing me.”

Zayn laughed and she expected him to pull away since that’s what he always did at this point, but for some reason their faces continued to stay so close. He looked into her eyes and just smiled. “What if I don’t want to?”

It surprised her when their lips met again, this time a little more effort on both their parts. Everything in her was telling her to pull away and put a stop to this before something more happened, but she just couldn’t. The way Zayn tasted and smelled and just everything about him drew her in so much.

He was like a drug to her. Every time she thought she needed to pull away Zayn was there pulling her right back in. She didn’t blame him, of course. He wanted what he wanted and what he wanted was her. She knew that he’d let her pull away at any moment, but for some reason she just didn’t. She let it happen. She felt prepared to actually give in and just roll with it for once. Because it just felt too good to ruin.

They moved so in sync as Zayn shifted a bit more, this time actually laying on top of her. Her heart was racing as she felt him push up against her, but despite the awkwardness on her part she didn’t stop it. She wasn’t going to stop it. She wanted him. And it really seemed like he wanted her too.

He pulled away again and stared at her so intensely as he reached down and pulled his shirt off. She couldn’t help but stare down his body, staring at all his tattoos. He was gorgeous. He was absolutely gorgeous and it only made her want him more.

“Give me one second,” Zayn leaned down and gave her a quick kiss before pushing himself off the bed and going over to his dresser across the room. Kennedy closed her eyes and tried to relax, but just couldn’t. This was actually happening. She was about to be with Zayn and she was going to let it happen.

She cared about him, she did. He was someone she could trust and someone she could see herself with for a long time if she gave it the chance. But was she ready for this kind of change? Was she ready to actually give herself to him? This was something important to her; her virginity. She thought she was going to save it for when she was in love and maybe even married. But being here right now…

The bed dipped in again and she felt someone slowly climb on top of her. She was prepared to see Zayn there, ready to take her and make her feel amazing. But when she opened her eyes she saw someone she never saw coming. Someone she couldn’t believe was here right now.

“Kennedy.”

Those green eyes burned into her like he was staring right into her soul; like he was trying to figure out what was going on just as much as she was. She was completely shell–shocked that Harry was here right now and being so close to her. Kennedy wanted to ask what was going on and where Zayn was, but the only thing she could do was look at the beautiful boy on top of her.

Harry laid his hand against her cheek as she nuzzled her head against his touch. It was so soft; so perfect. She had never felt someone touch her so beautifully before, not even Zayn. Harry used his other hand to run it through her hand, chuckling under his breath.

“You’re so beautiful, Kennedy.”

She melted as he spoke, finding his voice so irresistible. She didn’t know what was going on with her and why she was having this moment with Harry. She hated him more than anyone so why was she letting this happen? Why was her heart racing from being this close to Harry Styles?

“I want you so bad. I’ve always wanted you, Kennedy. Don’t you know that?” Harry leaned down closer, resting his forehead against hers and letting his breath hit her face and paralyze her. She took it in, exhaling on how good he smelled. “Don’t you? Don’t you want me too, Kenney?”

She sighed heavily, not understanding what was going on. “No… No, I like Zayn. I don’t like you, Harry.” No matter how much she kept saying the words, it felt like her heart was telling her otherwise. It didn’t feel genuine when she said the words out loud; when she said she didn’t like him. It didn’t feel real.

Harry moved down, letting his lips ghost over hers which drove her absolutely insane. It felt like her breath was literally being pulled right from her. Like he was seriously taking her breath away. “Kennedy,” he whispered against her lips. “If you didn’t like me then you wouldn’t be dreaming about me right now.”

“What?”

He laughed, stroking her cheek with his thumb before moving in closer. “Wake up, Kennedy.” Harry closed the gap between them, finally pushing his lips against hers.

The sound of an alarm going off caused her to jump awake as she placed her hand against her chest. Her breathing was heavy as she looked around the room, her eyes landing on Harry’s cell phone on her nightstand as the alarm blared loudly. She calmed down, realizing everything was a dream as she reached over and grabbed the phone, turning the alarm off and tossing it down farther on the bed.

What the hell? She pulled her knees close as she pushed her head into them, letting out a muffled groan. That did not just happen. She did not just dream about him. She couldn’t have. She shouldn’t have even been thinking about him, yet there she was dreaming about being near him and kissing him.

Harry’s phone started to ring and she quickly grabbed it, staring down at the screen. Asshole calling… She couldn’t help but laugh slightly, wondering who this asshole was supposed to be and what they could have done to piss him off. She felt a little bad not answering the call, but how was she supposed to explain that she was practically holding her enemy’s phone hostage?

She really should give it back.

Once the phone stopped ringing she rolled out of bed and tucked it away into her dresser to decide on what to do later. For now, she just really needed some time alone with her book and have none of these confusing feelings. She already had enough to deal with as to what she was going to do about her situation with Zayn. So she definitely didn’t need Harry to come in and make everything conflicted.

“Happy Birthday Eve, baby sister!” Kennedy was surprised when Hannah jumped at her and hugged her tightly when she came out of the room. She had completely forgotten that her birthday was coming up, everything else just taking priority in her life and keeping her from thinking about it. She had never really been one for birthdays either; her last one kind of ruining it when she found her sister and her boyfriend together.

Definitely not a fond memory.

“You’re so weird,” Kennedy grumbled as she pushed her sister off, not wanting her personal space to be invaded. “Only you celebrate the dumbest things in the world.”

She grabbed an apple from the bowl on the counter and jumped up there, deciding to let Hannah go on with whatever she looked like she was dying to say. Kennedy expected it to be something she really didn’t want to do, though.

“So for your birthday party–”

Well that didn’t last long.

“Have a nice day, Hannah.” Kennedy got back down off the counter and started to walk away, not wanting anything to do with this party. She hated being the center of attention and she hated parties more than anything. The last kind of party she attended she ended up kissing Zayn and then freaking out and hiding for a week.

Not happening again.

“Oh, Kenny!” Hannah stomped her foot down, upset that she wasn’t jumping up and down with glee. “I have this whole thing planned out and you are not going to ruin my party!”

“I thought it was my birthday party?” Typical Hannah taking things into her own hands and making it all about herself without realizing. Kennedy didn’t mind too much. She was used to this kind of behavior and she was used to all of Hannah’s antics.

Hannah pouted a little, still wanting her sister to go along with it. “Kenny, it’s going to be so fun I promise! All your friends are going to be there and I’ll bring some too so it can be this huge thing! You’ve got your little boyfriend, Zayn–” an eye roll from Kennedy, “–and that cute blondie, Niall. Oh, and that…creepy guy, Luca? He can come too. And of course Harry will be there!”

That all would have been okay except for one little problem. Harry isn’t and never will be her friend.

“I think you’ve mistaken something. Harry’s your friend. I hate the guy and you know that. I don’t want him there. I don’t even want a party, Hannah. I just want to have a quiet night here in the room.”

Kennedy excepted her sister to start complaining or going on and on about how she isn’t giving her boyfriend a chance, but for some reason she looked a little distracted. Maybe Harry was a sensitive subject? Kennedy hadn’t really seen the guy in days which was really odd since the two were practically inseparable.

“I meant to ask… Have you seen Harry around lately? It’s just been a few days and I haven’t really heard from him since–” She stopped talking which made Kennedy even more curious. Did something happen that she didn’t know about? It was obviously something bad and she wanted to get to the bottom of it. But before she got the chance Hannah shook her head, stopping her from answering. “You know what? Forget about it. I’m going to go find him and then check on a few things for your party. Go invite your boyfriend!”

Kennedy blushed, feeling extremely embarrassed with her calling Zayn her boyfriend. It wasn’t that she didn’t like the idea of it, she just didn’t want people jumping to the wrong conclusions before she got everything figured out.

Hannah grabbed her things quickly before Kennedy could say something again and headed out the door, mumbling about going to the bakery and something about Harry. She sighed loudly, slapping her hand to her forehead and trying not to stress. So she wasn’t going to get a relaxing birthday. At least Zayn would be there…hopefully.

She tried to push all the thoughts out of her head as she grabbed her book from the table and headed outside onto the balcony. It had been a while since she just kicked her feet up and relaxed to read; being trapped with Harry and thinking about Zayn all the time kind of took priority. But now she had some alone time.

Or, so she thought.

“Hey.”

Kennedy glanced over to the balcony next to hers, seeing a very upset looking Harry. She couldn’t help but wonder what was going on, even though she really just wanted to ignore him. She moved over to the railing and leaned against it, staring right at the boy she couldn’t stop thinking about for some reason.

“I can’t get rid of you, can I?”

He smiled, though only a little as he mimicked her moves. “Guess not, huh? Sorry, I guess.” That was something new. Kennedy couldn’t remember the last time Harry had ever apologized for something; she wasn’t even sure there was a time. So it was definitely odd and there was just something off about him.

“Okay, fine. I’m only going to ask once. Are you okay?”

He lifted his head and she felt her stomach drop when she saw the sad look in his eyes. Harry looked like he had witnessed something horrible or if he had something so awful weighing down on his shoulders. Whatever it was, she couldn’t help but be a little worried. Which was really, really confusing.

“Hannah,” he tried to get the words out, but kept stopping and sighing. “It’s just – she kind of told me that she loved me.”

Kennedy choked a little, not sure if she had heard the boy right. Hannah, her sister, told Harry, her boyfriend for maybe a month and who was obviously not that into her, that she loved him. It made no sense at all. Hannah may have not had a clue and gave in too easily whenever boys were around, but Kennedy thought she’d at least give it more time before losing her mind.

“I’m sorry, what?”

Harry laughed sadly, shaking his head. “She told me she loved me. And I completely freaked out and ran.” Kennedy sighed, giving him a look as if to say ‘you–are–a–big–idiot’. “I know, okay? I know and I’m sorry. I just…she surprised me! What was I supposed to say?”

“Maybe something other than running?” No wonder Hannah seemed upset with bringing up Harry’s name. Kennedy sort of wanted to jump right over to his balcony and kick the shit out of him for being so cruel to her sister. But, she couldn’t help but feel like he had his own reason for not saying anything. “Look, she’s looking for you. Just don’t hide from her, okay? Don’t hurt my sister.”

She figured her alone time at this point was ruined so there was no point in reading. She sighed and headed back towards the door, only to be stopped by Harry again.

“Kennedy?” She turned to look at him. “The other day…in the cave. I really liked spending time with you. Do you think maybe we could do it again? Maybe under some different circumstances?” He cracked a smile, trying to get her to as well.

Her heart plummeted as she remembered the dream she had not that long ago. She could still subconsciously feel Harry’s lips on hers and it made her turn bright red while she stared at him. Before she could say anything stupid she hightailed it off the balcony and back into her room, trying to stop freaking out and figure out what the hell just happened.

You don’t feel anything for him. He’s an idiot. It was just a dream. It was just a damn dream. She tried to convince herself of this, but for some reason she just couldn’t let it go. Why couldn’t she just forget about him and focus on figuring out her feelings for Zayn?

She didn’t know what she was going to do, but she was sure that she better figure it out soon.

She planned on taking a walk to clear her mind, but somehow she found herself walking up the walkway of Zayn’s apartment complex. She gripped the railing as she climbed the stairs, her heart pounding. She didn’t know what he was doing; hell, she wasn’t even thinking right now. But for some reason her feet just carried her there.

In her mind she had everything figured out. She knew what she would say to him and she knew that she was ready to let him in. At least, that’s what she kept telling herself and was getting pretty good at the convincing part.

“Just let him in,” she whispered as she made it to the top of the stairs and walked slowly down the hallway. All she had to do was tell him how she felt. That’s all. They could figure everything else out later, but for now all she had to do was tell him.

Kennedy had calmed her nerves just enough as she reached his door and held her hand up to knock. Unfortunately, the knocking didn’t come and instead the door swung open and there stood Zayn looking incredibly gorgeous like always. He looked a bit surprised to see her standing there, not expecting the sudden visit.

“Hey,” he grinned widely as he closed his door. “I’m sorry I didn’t know you were coming. I was actually just headed to work.”

She blushed again, feeling so stupid for even coming. Everything in her that was telling her to let him in and tell him vanished and she was back to where she started; absolutely nowhere.

“S–Sorry. I was just out for a walk and thought I’d come say hi. I’ll go now.” She didn’t want to spend anything minute there looking like a complete idiot so she turned around to leave. Zayn wasn’t letting her go that easily though as he reached down and took her hand, stopping her from leaving.

“Kennedy, I’ve been meaning to tell you something and I’m sorry I waited so long.” She was a little confused, not really sure what it was. They usually didn’t keep secrets or anything from each other so it definitely must have been something important. She stared at him, waiting for him to just spit it out. “The other day when I went to the store I ran into Harry and your sister.” It wasn't that unusual so she didn’t get why he seemed to hesitant. “They were buying a pregnancy test.”

And down came the walls. Metaphorically, of course. Everything inside her seemed to crumble as she tried to wrap her mind around what Zayn had just said. Hannah and Harry? Pregnancy test? That was definitely new information and was something she wasn’t expecting at all.

Hannah was pregnant. Her sister was pregnant with a guy who obviously didn’t give a shit about her. Well, it was only a matter of time before they all ended up on some drama show on MTV and acting like crazy people.

Okay, it wasn’t that funny; it was actually devastating. She couldn’t believe that this was happening. Her sister was pregnant and it was pretty obvious that Harry was the father. It must have been what was also bugging him earlier. He was so distant and upset so that had to add to the reasons, right?

Fucking hell.

“You’re sure?” Kennedy was breathing heavily as she tried to calm down. She didn’t want to flip out in front of Zayn, but she was about five minutes away from turning into some Godzilla creature and stomping through the city until she found the culprit. The curly headed culprit, that is.

Zayn looked down and checked his watch, stressing out because he was running late. “I’m certain that it was a pregnancy test, but I have no idea if she is or not. I’m really sorry, but I’m running super late, Kennedy. Can I call you tonight?”

“Oh, yeah! Sorry, I didn’t mean to keep you. I’ll see you later.”

She blushed again as Zayn leaned down and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek before pulling his helmet on and jogging down the stairs. She leaned on the railing as she watched him climb onto his motorcycle and glance back up at her once before heading down the road in a hurry. She sighed, realizing that she had gotten so sidetracked that she didn’t even get the chance to tell him everything she had to say.

And now it would have to wait because she had a certain asshole to take care of.

Everything seemed like a blur as she walked as fast as she could back from Zayn’s apartment and towards the hotel. Her mind was so captivated with every thought from Zayn to Harry to Hannah that she thought it might explode. This was definitely way too much stress for someone who was about to turn eighteen. And it was definitely going to put a damper on her birthday if this all turned out to be real.

Why couldn’t just one birthday go her way? She thought after how horrible her last one was that at least she would get a free pass this year. It was like that every year though so why should she expect anything different? Hannah was always the main priority. Her fifth birthday Hannah had to get elbow surgery so nobody paid attention to her. Her thirteenth birthday was even worse because Hannah had gotten some huge award for something she couldn’t remember so everyone actually forgot her birthday. And now? Now Hannah would once again take priority if she really was pregnant.

Kennedy didn’t usually let her envy and jealousy show, but on the inside it still hurt. She would always come in second place. Nothing she could do would ever be able to top her sister. The boys always wanted her, her family always paid attention to her, and it never was going to change. She was actually surprised that Zayn hadn’t switched to Team Hannah already and a part of her was still expecting it. Why not? It was Hannah; she was perfect.

Kennedy wasn’t paying attention as she bumped right into someone and stumbled backwards, almost falling over, but the person grabbed her arms to stop her. When she looked in that direction she was surprised to see Luca standing there, grinning at her.

“Well, if it isn’t Kennedy Ross. It’s been a little while, hasn’t it?” Her stomach did flips as she pulled out of his grasp and straightened herself out. The thoughts of Harry telling her to stay away from him the day of their hike were flooding to her mind and she couldn’t help but wonder what that was supposed to mean. Looking at Luca, he seemed like a nice guy.

And what did Harry know anyway? She needed to remember that she couldn’t trust Harry either.

“It’s good to see you, Luca.” She didn’t know why, but she always felt nervous around the guy. He was so sophisticated and just had this aura about him. He was mysterious in just the right ways and it definitely didn’t help that he was gorgeous.

“I’m actually really glad I ran into you. I was just saying to Harry the other day that it was a shame that you and I haven’t really been introduced all that well. Considering you had that big ordeal the last time we saw each other.” He reached out and took her hand, guiding her to a nearby table to sit. “Are you feeling better since then?”

“Oh yeah. I only had a few bumps and bruises so it wasn’t anything serious.”

He sat down across from her, that creepy smile still on his face. “Your boyfriend was quite worried when we were looking for you guys.”

“You must mean Zayn. He’s not my boyfriend.” It felt awkward talking about him considering she was possibly moments away from actually being with him, but of course they didn’t get the chance. “It’s really complicated and boring.”

Luca seemed intrigued though as he narrowed his eyes at her. “Why don’t you talk to me about it? I’m really good at listening.”

She didn’t really like talking about her relationship problems with a guy she hardly knew, but she figured who better to give advice than an impartial judge? Luca could maybe even help her figure her own feelings out.

“It’s just a weird situation, I guess? He wants to be with me and I’m kind of hesitant and not really giving him answers yet. I’m not sure if I’m ready or not since I don’t really date all that much. It’s just really complicated and I’d rather not talk about it.” Why are you even talking to him about this? He’s like Harry’s lackey. He’ll just run back and tell him.

But Luca didn’t seem like that. She wasn’t sure, but for some reason she got a feeling that he and Harry weren’t as close as they once appeared. She wondered if something happened, but she really just didn’t want to think about Harry at the moment. She wanted to kill him, but she didn’t want to talk about him.

“Well, if you ask me, I don’t think you should keep Zayn waiting for much longer. You don’t want him to get bored of waiting, do you? He might be worried that you’re not into him and don’t want to sleep with him either.”

Whoa, hold up. Sex? Where in the world did he get that idea?

She rubbed the back of her neck, feeling awkward again. “Um, I don’t think that’s really a problem. Nor is it going to happen for a while considering I’m a virgin and kind of waiting until I find that right person. Stupid, I know.”

Luca’s eyes lit up as his smile grew wider. “A virgin, huh?” He reached his hand forward, placing it on top of hers and catching her eyes. “Don’t worry about it, okay? That time will come and it’ll be a moment that you’ll never forget.” For some reason Kennedy got a weird cold chill as she pulled her hand away.

She was thankful, though, when she heard a familiar voice speak up from not that far away. “Kennedy!” She looked over and saw Niall jogging up to their table, glaring right at Luca as she placed his hands on the table. She was going to say something, but Niall grabbed her hand and pulled her up out of her seat. “I need to talk to you. Um… It’s an emergency.”

Her heart raced as Niall pulled her away from Luca. What was wrong? An emergency? She panicked, thinking that maybe something happened to Hannah or even this baby that she may or may not be carrying. She almost just yanked away from Niall right then and there to run up into the hotel and figure it out herself, but stopped herself when Niall stopped walking and sighed in relief.

“Good thing we’re alone. Why in the world were you talking to that creep Luca?” His face scrunched up as he said his name. Niall obviously wasn’t a fan of the guy and Kennedy was starting to see a pattern here. “You shouldn’t be alone with him, okay? Promise me.”

“You and Harry are so weird. He said the same exact thing.”

“Well maybe you should listen to us!” She had never heard Niall yell before, but when he did she couldn’t help but get a feeling that this was really serious. Why were they so upset with her talking to Luca? Was he really not that good of a guy?

She sighed and gave in, heading inside the hotel with Niall and hopping on the elevator. “You know, you didn’t have to freak me out with all that emergency talk. I really thought something was wrong with Hannah or the baby.”

“Baby?” Oops. She probably shouldn’t have let that one slip without actually knowing if she was or not. Kennedy couldn’t help but jump to conclusions though. “Wait, is Hannah pregnant?”

“Maybe. Zayn told me that he saw her and Harry buying a pregnancy test the other day and it totally freaked me out.” Niall seemed just as surprised as she was, obviously not being filled in on the fun Harry was having messing with her family. “I can’t believe they were so irresponsible. I can’t believe Harry would even do this! He isn’t even serious about her because he’s just using her for God knows what!”

Maybe she shouldn’t have been getting so mad, but she couldn’t help it. The more she thought about the possibility of Hannah actually being pregnant, the more she wanted to rip his head off and feed it to the sharks. She was way past being civil about this. There was nothing Harry could say or do to make this better.

When the elevator doors opened Kennedy didn’t waste any time storming down the hallway, Niall following quickly behind and mumbling things about how she needed to ‘stay calm’ and ‘think about this’. She ignored him though, wanting to get to the bottom of this once and for all.

She quickly swiped her card in the door, hearing a bit of shouting coming from the other end. The door opened and she saw Hannah and Harry standing there and arguing about something she wasn’t particularly interested in knowing.

Niall tried to stop her, but it was too late as she made her way up to Harry and pulled her arm back, slugging him right in the face and making him stumbling into the wall behind him. He shot his hand up to his face, staring at her like she was insane.

“Kennedy!” Hannah was shocked as she covered her mouth, not sure what was happening. Kennedy was fuming though and not done with what she had to do. Oh, she probably could have tossed Harry right off the balcony and not thought twice about it, but she wasn’t going to get the chance. Hannah stood in front of her, stopping her from taking another swing at Harry. “What in the world are you doing?!”

“Are you pregnant?!”

It wasn’t exactly how she planned on confronting Hannah about it, but it worked. She wasn’t playing the nice little girl anymore. She wanted answers and she wanted them now. She also wanted to kill Harry, but that was another problem that could wait until she got her answers.

Hannah seemed a little surprised, not knowing what to say. She hadn’t planned for Kennedy to find out this way, or at all, and didn’t know how she did. Harry though knew and he sighed when he realized it.

“Fucking Zayn told you, didn’t he? Stupid idiot can’t keep his mouth shut.”

Being rude about Zayn was probably something Harry shouldn’t have been doing considering Kennedy was out for blood. She balled her hand into a fist again, ready to go for round two, but Hannah held her hands up, stopping her.

“Kenny! Kenny, stop!” She looked at her sister, waiting. “I am not pregnant, okay? It came out negative so I’m not pregnant. I swear.”

It calmed her down a little bit as she lowered her hand to her side. Okay so Hannah wasn’t pregnant. She wasn’t about to be an aunt and Harry wasn’t about to become technically a part of their family. Everything was okay. Everything would be okay.

Except it wasn’t and Kennedy knew that. This was too close of a call and it could definitely happen again if her and Harry weren’t more careful. She wanted this to come to an end, but she knew that Hannah wouldn’t break up with Harry anytime soon. She was just tired of it. She was tired of fighting it and just tired of all of it.

“Kenny, it’s okay. I’m not pregnant and it’s okay.” Hannah tried to get her to smile, but it just wasn’t going to work. “Be happy, okay? You’re going to go to sleep and wake up so you can have a great birthday party with all of us tomorrow.”

“No.” Kennedy looked around her sister and stared right at Harry. “I don’t want you there. I don’t want you anywhere, actually.”

“Kennedy,” he sighed, taking a step towards her. She just shook her head and backed up, not wanting him to come any closer to her.

“I’m serious. I don’t want you anywhere around me from now on, okay? You are the last person in the world I would ever want to see.” Harry looked a little hurt, but she honestly didn’t care. She wanted him to be hurt. “Whatever could have happened between us is over. We are not friends. We will never be friends. We are absolutely nothing.”

That was what did it. The hurt flooded to Harry’s eyes as he stared at her, not being able to say anything. “You may have my sister and everyone fooled, but not me. You are out to ruin all of our damn lives for some reason and I swear that I’m done. So you can cut this act, okay? Because I want nothing to do with you, Harry. You are nothing to me.”

Maybe she was overreacting, but could anyone really blame her? The guy was ruining her entire summer and maybe even her life. He could have gotten her sister pregnant and could have ruined her life too. And he really didn’t seem like he was going to stop. He wasn’t a good guy. She should have realized it before, but she was realizing it now. Harry was nothing but an ass and a son of a bitch. He may have seemed like he changed lately, but it had to be an act.

She was really starting to realize that people don’t just change. Harry Styles definitely wouldn’t. And she just had it with him.

Harry… I’m done.

Muahaha did anyone think that was really happening at the beginning? Or did you think it was a dream the whole time? lol Our poor little Kennedy is getting so confused and doesn't know what to do with it. But maybe that won't be a problem since she practically told Harry to get lost once and for all. Or is that really the end of our Hennedy? Who knows! Guess you'll have to wait and see what happens. ;) As always, thanks so much for all the love on this story! I really appreciate it! I'm glad you're liking it and I hope you continue to read and have fun as we still have quite a lot of story to get to. :)

-Do you think Kennedy's dreams about Harry will be problematic for her?
-Do you think that she should continue to keep her virginity until she's really ready?
-Should Zayn have not told her about the pregnancy test?
-What the heck is Luca up to?
-Was Kennedy being too hard on Harry over the situation?
-Any ideas on what will happen at her big birthday bash?

Let's talk about what happened!
