Somewhere in Neverland
Say goodbye to the halls and the classes
'Daniel, baby boy, we're here.' I whisper, undoing my sons seat belt, the five year olds eyes open slowly and I chuckle, 'Hey my sleepy baby, let's get you into the hotel.' I whisper and he nods,
'When can I see Peter daddy?' he asks,
'Tomorrow buddy, I promise.' I chuckle,
'Okay. I'm sleepy.' he mumbles,
'I can see that Danny, come on.' I smile and lift him out of the car.
My name is Jack Barakat, I'm 22 and a single father. Daniel is my entire world, I love him to pieces. My son is obsessed with Peter Pan so I decided it'd be a lovely treat to take him to Disney land for his fifth birthday to meet his hero.
(next day)
I smile as I help Daniel into his Peter Pan costume, he looks adorable,
'Im so excited daddy!' he giggles, adjusting the little green hat on his gingery brown hair,
'I know you are baby boy, I am too, we're gonna meet Peter Pan!' I grin and he squeals and hugs me,
'Thank you so much for bwinging me here daddy, I wove you so much.' he whispers,
'I love you too buddy. Anything for my boy.' I chuckle, kissing his cheek,
'Can we go now?' he asks,
'Yeah, go put your shoes on Dan.' I smile.
We spent three hours searching around the park, riding a few rides and meeting different characters before I finally spot the familiar green costume,
'Danny, look over there.' I whisper, pointing at the man in the Peter Pan costume,
'Peter!' Daniel gasps, 'Daddy put me down!' he squeals and I put him on the floor and let him run over to his hero,
'Peter Pan!' he squeals as I jog up behind him,
'Well hello! Oh my gosh! You're me! I thought I was me!' "Peter" exclaims,
'You are you!' Daniel laughs,
'But then why do you look like me?! Look-' the actor lifts Daniel up into his arms before continuing, '-you've got my hat, my hair, my shirt, my trousers, you've even got my shoes! You must be me!' he says, faking confusion,
'No! My daddy bought me this! You're you Peter Pan!' Daniel giggles,
'Well isn't your daddy a kind man. Making you look just like me.' Peter grins, winking at me and I feel myself blush slightly, because, damn, he's cute as fuck, 'Well it's nice to meet you Daddy of mini me!' he grins and holds Danny in one arm and offers me his hand, I laugh and shake it,
'Mini you has been trying to find you for hours. You're his hero.' I smile and "Peters" face lights up,
'Thats awesome! Well you've found me now mini me! I'm gonna sit you on this wall, okay?' he smiles as he sits Daniel on the wall behind him, 'Mini me, I'm gonna give you something very special, okay?' he says quietly and reaches into his pocket and pulls out an acorn,
'A kiss!' Daniel gasps as Peter hands it to him,
'Specially for you!' the man in green smiles and Daniel giggles,
'Give me a big hug mini me!' Peter grins and Daniel wraps his arms around the actors neck tightly,
'Look over there, I think Wendy wants to meet you, why don't you go say hello!' Peter exclaims, pointing to the Wendy actress,
'Okay, I wove you Peter Pan!' Daniel giggles as he jumps off the wall,
'I love you too mini me!' Peter grins and Daniel runs off,
'Thank you.' I smile and "Peter" smiles back,
'Its fine. Just you looking after him?' he asks,
'Yeah, I'm a single dad.' I shrug,
'Really? Wouldn't expect a chic to leave someone like you.' he smirks,
'Eh, we were young. I realised I was gay. She didn't want to keep Danny. Which I'm glad about because he means the world to me.' I smile,
'Hes adorable. How long are you here for?' he asks,
'Three days.' I say and he smiles,
'Come back, yeah?' he whispers and I nod,
'Dan will want to anyway, so yeah. I better go.' I say softly,
'Wait, what's your name?' he asks,
'Jack.' I smile,
'Peter.' he says with a wink and a slight bow, lifting his hat, I laugh and smile at him before turning and jogging over to where Danny is being cooed over by Wendy.
(next day)
I smile when Daniel starts running towards Peter Pan,
'Mini me!' Peter exclaims,
'Peter Pan!' My son squeals, jumping into Peters arms, I laugh as I walk over to them and the actor smiles at me,
'How are you mini me?' he asks Daniel,
'Im awesome! How are you Peter?!' he exclaims and I chuckle,
'Im great Kiddo, did you have a good day yesterday?' Peter grins,
'Yeah! It was so good! Daddy said I can go on some of the big wides today!' Dan says happily and I roll my eyes at him,
'Your daddy is lovely to you, isn't he?' Peter chuckles,
'My daddy's the best!' Daniel giggles,
'Seems like he is mini me.' Peter chuckles as he puts Daniel down, I smile at the actor and he winks, causing me to blush, 'Mini me, look, Ariels over there, why don't you go say hello and then come back?' Peter asks him and he nods and runs off,
'So, Jack, I was wondering if you'd like to go out for coffee later?' He asks quietly and I smile,
'Id love to but I can't really leave Danny... You could come to our hotel room after he's gone to bed?' I say awkwardly,
'Id love to, what number?' he smiles,
'36.' I smile back and he grins,
'I'll be slightly less green, I promise.' he smirks,
'Its cute.' I shrug and he grins at me before crouching down to talk to some little girls.
