Sinister

Dormant

When you first discover that you're different, it's scary. Especially when you find out just how different you really are from the rest of the world. You see these people every day, walking, talking, thinking, feeling. But they have no clue, no inkling, that they could be more. That there would be something underneath, something dormant, powerful, helpful.

The first time I had a vision was because I had touched one of my classmates, then a picture formed in my mind, of the boy breaking his leg. It startled me, because I thought it was going to happen soon, so I tried to warn him. I didn't want anything to happen to him.

He called me crazy.

He'd broken his leg the year before.

That's when I knew the difference between past and present.

Only I didn't.

Because I saw John kill, but I didn't see what he did after he dumped Eden's body.

He was gone, and I had no idea where.

Not yet.
