Sinister
Crumble
The blood spread so fast that even if I hadn't been the one who shot him, I still wouldn't have been able to stop the flow because of the position of the wound. It was right under Scott's heart, and as I watched him crumble to the ground and stop moving, I didn't even react.
He was dead and I felt absolutely nothing.
Beside me, John started to laugh. "I've gotta tell you, darling, I didn't see that coming. I didn't think you'd actually do it. He would have kept your secret, you know." His eyes met mine and he smiled heinously. "I just wanted to see if I could make you kill another person."
I turned my head, and the gun, on him now.
"I can," I answered.
"Good," John answered, "because I need you to kill someone else for me."
"Why not just do it yourself?"
He smirked. "This person is special."
"Who is it, John?" I demanded, the gun still pointed at his chest.
He touched my cheek, his hand surprisingly warm, and leaned over to whisper, "It's you, Charlotte. You need to die now."
