Ray was looking at me, his expression worried.
My eyes fell on the empty desk in front of me. There was no gun, no ghost of my dead ex boyfriend, and clearly no sanity left inside of me. It was almost laughable. But instead I kept pressing my hands into the wood until it hurt.
"Yes," I lied. "I'm okay."
