You Are Not Alone

Jealousy

Michael's POV

Once the credits began to roll at the end of the movie, Michael attempted to wake the sleeping beauty in his arms. He shook her gently, but Lily didn't budge. In fact, she just settled deeper into his embrace. As cute as she was right now, he was starting to lose feeling in his arm! Leaning down, he placed his lips next to her ear. Nuzzling his nose against it softly, he whispered.

"Time to wake up, babygirl", he said sweetly. Lily shifted slightly.

"Five more minutes", she muttered sleepily. Michael grinned, but kept trying.

"Uh uh, nap time's over, babygirl", he snickered. When she still didn't open her eyes, he started tickling her side. He laughed when she swatted at his hand. Turning away from him, Lily curled into a ball in her seat.

She looked so adorable that Michael almost hated what he was about to do. He knew it was mean, but the woman was being difficult! He had plans with her today and knew they should be getting ready. Once again, he leaned in close, whispering in her ear.

"Lily? Wake up, babygirl", pulling back to look at her, he gave her one last chance. Nothing. Time to play dirty. "Sweetheart, wake up. My mother's here to meet you!" Like magic, Lily's baby blues popped open. She had jolted up so quick that her head banged into Michael's nose.

"WHAT?!" Lily shrieked. She was panicked. Ignoring the pain in his nose, Michael doubled over, clutching his stomach as he cackled. "What's so funny? Why the hell didn't you tell me your mother was coming here today?!"

"I- haha- I'm j-just- hahaha- I was only k-kidding", Michael had to stop for breath. He was laughing so hard at the stricken look on her face. "I j-just needed you to wake up. Damn, girl, you are stubborn when you're tired!" He was calming down but still giggling as he spoke.

Realizing that Michael had gotten her worked up for nothing, Lily narrowed her eyes. Frowning at her boyfriend, she raised an unamused eyebrow, waiting for him to stop laughing at her. Getting annoyed, she finally punched his shoulder.

"OW! Hey, no need to get violent!" Michael shouted playfully, still laughing. Lily folded her arms over her chest and pouted.

"That was mean, Michael! You scared the hell outta me!" Lily said, continuing to frown at him. Michael wrapped his arms around her.

"Aww, I'm sorry, sweetheart. But seriously, when you're asleep, you're ASLEEP!" He dodged another swing, but she was smiling now.

"Alright, so what's the REAL reason you woke me up from a perfectly good nap, Mr. Jackson?" Lily asked, sticking her tongue out.

"You and I, Miss Parker, are going to go on a proper date", Michael answered with a grin. Lily's eyes widened in surprise.

"Uh...how are we gonna do that? Are you planning on wearing a disguise?" She asked in confusion.

"Nope", Michael smiled. "There is a rather lovely restaurant here in Los Olivos, it's just a few minutes away. And I don't need a disguise. People around here are fairly used to seeing me."

"When are we leaving?" Lily questioned. Michael looked at his watch.

"In about two hours", MIchael said. Lily suddenly pecked him on the lips and shot up out of her seat. "Uh, what are you doing?" He asked in confused amusement.

"I only have two hours! You do realize I'm a girl, right?" She shrieked. Michael laughed.

"It had come to my attention, yes", Michael raised his eyebrow, smirking at her. Lily huffed, rolling her eyes.

"Haha, Michael, very funny. I gotta get ready!" With that she began to run towards the theater exit. Michael cleared his throat loudly, making Lily stop and turn to face him.

"I would like a real kiss. Thank you very much", Michael said, hands on his hips, pouting playfully. Lily rolled her eyes, but smiled as she walked back to him.

Lily wrapped her arms around Michael's neck as his slipped around her small waist. Closing her eyes, she tipped her face up to his and he kissed her. The kiss started of slow and sweet, but then he pulled her to him more tightly. Slipping his tongue in her mouth, he deepened the kiss. Finally pulling apart, they were both panting and Lily's face was flushed.

"So, ahem, wh-what should I wear?" Lily asked, clearing her throat, flustered by the kiss.

"Something nice but not formal or anything", Michael answered, smiling at her nonplussed state. She nodded.

Grinning at him, Lily turned to exit the theater. She yelped when Michael playfully swatted her backside. Michael giggled to himself as he watched her walk away. The door had closed behind her, and Michael was still rooted to his spot. Shaking his head in amusement, he spoke to the empty room.

"God, I love that woman", with that, Michael went off to get ready himself.

Lily's POV

Lily sprinted towards the house, taking two stairs at a time once she got inside. Finally reaching her room, she stumbled in, closing the door behind her. Flinging her closet open, she wondered what she should wear. Michael had said to dress nice but nothing too fancy. Scanning the clothes hanging in her closet, she stood with her hands on her hips and lips pursed in thought.

Finally, after literally an hour of decision making, Lily decided on a strapless dress. The bodice was white, with a sweetheart neckline. The skirt, which had a black and white, zig-zag pattern, was flared and calf length. There was a strip of teal fabric separating the bodice from the skirt. She chose a pair of black, peep toe, pumps and a stone necklace, to match the teal accent of the dress.

Setting her outfit on her bed, Lily sat in front of the mirror. Since her hair was already curled, she clipped it into a loose updo. A few tendrils came forward to frame her face. Once her hair was fixed, she started her makeup. With less than an hour left, she was grateful that she wasn't one to wear a lot of makeup. Carefully, she applied eyeliner and mascara, followed by a pale pink, matte lip gloss.

Standing up, Lily took off the clothes she had been wearing. Walking over to the dresser, she pulled out her trusty Victoria's Secret white, strapless bra and a lace thong. After slipping those on, she put on the dress. Putting on her shoes, Lily grabbed the teal leather clutch she had packed to go with her dress. Putting her lip gloss, wallet and cellphone inside, she glanced at herself in the mirror. Satisfied, she left her room and went in search for Michael.

Slowly descending the stairs, Lily walked into the living room. She bit her lip and smiled when she saw Michael. He was wearing his usual black slacks, white socks and black loafers. He also had on a white v-neck t-shirt, with a fitted, black leather military jacket over it. The jacket was zipped up to about an inch below the t-shirt's neckline. His curls were pulled back in a low ponytail, revealing his handsome face.

Michael was reading a book, so he hadn't noticed Lily standing in the doorway. She cleared her throat softly, getting his attention. When Michael looked up, she smiled shyly. He stood up and stared at her, but didn't move from his spot. She began to fidget as the silence stretched between them. Scratching behind her neck nervously, she avoided looking at him. When he still failed to speak, she began to smooth down the skirt of her dress. No longer being able to take it anymore, she spoke.

"A-Am I too dressed up?" Lily asked quietly. Pointing towards the stairs, she continued. "I-I can go change real quick, or-" Michael was quick to cut her off.

Michael's POV

"NO!" Michael said suddenly. Lily jumped when he spoke much louder than he intended to. "I- I mean, no. You don't need to change, sweetheart. You look beautiful". He smiled softly.

"A-Are you sure?" Lily still looked worried. Probably because he had yet to move. Shaking his head, he blushed when he realized he had been staring at her.

"Yes. Forgive me for staring. I just- you look-" Michael began to get frustrated with himself. "You just had me speechless for a moment there. You look incredibly beautiful, babygirl". He smiled as a blush spread from her cheeks to the top of her breasts.

Michael looked her over with hungry eyes. He could see just enough cleavage to leave him longing to see more of her. The teal accents of her outfit brought out her blue eyes. With her hair swept up, he found himself wanting badly to kiss the expanse of her neck. As always, his Lily was the epitome of sexy yet classy. He couldn't help but wonder what she had on underneath her dress.

Calm down, Michael! This is NOT the time! Scolded his conscience.

Leaning towards her, Michael kissed Lily softly. Before he pulled away, he softly nuzzled her nose with his, making her giggle. With a smile, he offered his arm, escorting her to the limo waiting outside. He giggled when she greeted his driver, calling him "Archie". He figured they must have gotten on well when he had picked her up from the airport.

The trip was only about ten minutes long. Making the most of those ten minutes, Michael wrapped his arm around Lily and kissed her neck. Giving his attention to as much visible skin as he could, he slowly glided his hand up her leg. She had laughed and told him to stop when he began to reach under her dress. He couldn't help himself. She just looked so beautiful!

Suddenly, the limo came to a stop. Michael pulled his hand away just as Archie opened their door. Composing themselves, the couple stepped out. The restaurant was called Wine Merchant Cafe. It was a classy establishment, yet cozy rather than stuffy. Taking her hand, Michael led her into the restaurant. He knew the owner fairly well, as he quite enjoyed coming here for the delicious food and wine every so often.

The walls were lined with wooden shelves, which were stocked full of wine bottles. There were small round tables, covered in simple white tablecloths. There were also a few booths placed in the corners. The hostess led them to another room that was more secluded. The majority of the town might have been used to his presence, but that didn't mean there wasn't the occassional fan asking for an autograph. He loved his fans, but he didn't want anything to spoil this evening for Lily.

Lily gasped when they walked into the private dining area. There was another round table with a white cloth. Two cherry wood chairs sat across from each other. There was even a brown leather couch across from the table, against the wall. More wine bottles lined the walls of the room. The table was set for two and a bottle of wine sat waiting for them.

"Oh, Michael. This is beautiful", Lily said, looking up at him.

"I'm so glad you like it. I come here quite often", Michael replied with a soft smile.

Michael pulled Lily's chair out, pushing her in gently when she sat. She thanked him and he nodded. When he had taken his seat across from her, the hostess handed each of them a menu, telling them their server would be with them shortly. Thanking her, Michael then pour Lily and himself a glass of wine. After about ten minutes of conversation, Michael had decided on the chicken and Lily, the ravioli.

A few minutes after making their decisions, a young brunette approached their table. Michael glanced at her and noted that she must have been told who her next customer was, because she didn't seem surprised to see him. In fact, she grinned at him when she caught his eye. He felt uneasy about her smile for some reason. Not having time to dwell on it, he smied politely when she reached their table.

"Welcome to the Wine Merchant Cafe! My name is Lauren and I'll be your server! Do you know what you'd like or do you need a minute?"

Lauren was REALLY bubbly. Michael noticed, however, that she kept her eyes on him. He was starting to feel irritated that she completely ignored Lily's presence. Being the kind person that she is, Lily just smiled at her.

"I think we're ready", Michael said politely.

"Alright! What would you like, Michael?" Lauren said flirtatiously. Michael's eyes widened for a fraction of a second.

I usually don't mind when people call me by my first name, but a waitress? Who is serving me? Not to mention, she's flirting with me! Michael was feeling less and less impressed by this girl. He was also worried that Lily would become upset by the girl's behaviour.

"I think I'll let the lady order first", Michael replied, making the girl roll her eyes. It was subtle, but he caught it. He smiled at Lily who gave a half smile in return. He could tell she was uncomfortable.

"I-I think I'll have the ravioli, please", Lily said quietly.

"You bet", was all Lauren said. "And for you, Michael?" A grin was now on her face as she directed her attention back to him. He cringed at the way she purred his name.

"Ahem, I'll just have the chicken, please", Michael said awkwardly, keeping his eyes on Lily. He heard her scoff when he wouldn't make eye contact with her. Grabbing their menus, she told them their food would be out shortly. When he thanked her, once again, without looking at her, she stormed away.

Michael reached across the table, grabbing Lily's hand. She was staring blankly down at the table. Running his thumb against her knuckles, he spoke softly.

"Are you okay, babygirl?" Michael said, his voice just above a whisper. Lily gave him a small smile.

"Y-Yes, Michael, I'm fine", Lily answered, but Michael knew better.

"Are you sure? I would be more than happy to request a knew waitress...Believe me." Michael muttered that last part. Lily must have heard, because she giggled.

"No, it's alright. I should probably get used to girls throwing themselves at you", Lily said playfully. Michael blushed.

"I'm not even used to it. Besides, I don't want any other girl. I only want you", with that, Michael lifted her hand, kissing it softly.

Right at that moment, Lauren returned with their orders. She sneered at the show of affection. Michael could practically feel the jealousy rolling off of her. Michael couldn't help but notice the change in her appearance. He wasn't checking her out AT ALL. However, it was so ridiculously obvious that you couldn't miss it. She must have adjusted her top when she left them the last time. Resisting the urge to roll his eyes, he refused to give her the attention she desperately wanted. This must have really pissed her off, because she plunked their plates down and spoke in a deadpan voice.

"Enjoy your meal", Lauren said, quite insincerely. Throwing Lily a look of disgust, she stormed away for the second time. Michael couldn't help but snicker at the girl's childish behaviour. As if acting like that would make him like her!

Refusing to waste anymore time worrying about the less than stellar service, the couple dug into their meals. The food and wine was delicious. Not to mention, Michael's company was quite enjoyable. He and Lily spent the next forty-five minutes eating and drinking as they talked and joked with each other.

Out of the corner of his eye, Michael could see Lauren watching them from the front of the restaurant. He knew she was trying to catch his eye but he refused to look at her. She looked rather ridiculous, throwing him flirty looks and smiles. She even had the audacity to lean forwards with her arms propped on the counter, purposely squeezing her breasts together. Even Lily had noticed this. As irritated as it made her, she couldn't help but laugh at how desperate this girl was.

Almost the minute Michael and Lily had both had their fill, he suggested they take their leave. It was hard to enjoy each other's company with a stalker watching your every move. Even though Lauren didn't deserve it, he left her a generous tip on the table. That was just how Michael was. He had half a mind to complain to the manager about her behaviour, but Lily had begged him to just leave it alone. Having to face the waitress one last time, he paid the bill.

"See you later, Michael", Lauren purred with a voice, that Michael assumed, she thought must be sexy. It wasn't.

"I don't think so. Goodbye, Miss", Michael replied shortly but politely.

Holding the door open, Michael gestured for Lily to go first. Knowing Lauren was watching them closely, he leaned in as Lily was walking past him and kissed her sweetly. The entire time, he could feel the waitress' eyes burning a hole into the back of his head. He smiled to himself as they were climbing into the limo.

Soon, Lauren was a distant memory. Michael, once again, could not keep his hands off of Lily during the ten minute ride back to Neverland. When they arrived in front of the house, Archie opened the door and Michael stepped out. Holding out his hand, he helped Lily from the car. The entire walk from the car, into the house and up the stairs to his room, he did not let go of her hand.

"I'm sorry about back at the restaurant", Michael apologized once he closed the door after they entered his room.

"It's alright, Michael", Lily smiled. "Like I said, I'm gonna have to get used to that if I'm going to date you", she winked playfully. Blushing, Michael chuckled.

"Well, still, that girl was making me uncomfortable and I'm sure you were as well", Michael frowned.

"It was annoying, but it's not like you were flirting with her", Lily said with a small smile. Michael scrunched up his nose.

"Absolutely not! That girl was acting REALLY desperate. Besides, I have all I need right here", Michael whispered as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

The next moment, Michael and Lily found themselves consumed with each other. They were sharing a heated kiss as their hands roamed all over each other's bodies.

"I love you so much, Lily", Michael said as they pulled apart. His forehead was resting against hers, with his hands cradling her face.

"I love you, too, Michael", Lily replied, smiling as she looked into his eyes. Michael grinned at her.
"I'm gonna show you just how much I love you and only you, babygirl", Michael whispered.

With Lily's arms still wrapped around his neck, she gasped as he picked her up. Wrapping her legs around him, MIchael held her up. Initiating a sensual kiss, his hands squeezed her ass as he walked her over to the bed.
