He held her hand gently. “Zelda, there is something I have been meaning to tell you for a very, very long time. Just in case, things don’t go well…” he intertwined his fingers in hers. “I love you; always have, always will. To me, you are almost more than just a princess of Hyrule…you’re MY princess. From the moment we met as kids till now.” He turned around, letting go of her hand just long enough to face her and then intertwined his fingers into hers. “I will restore the lands back to where they belong.”
His blue eyes looked into hers and held them. He wanted to hold her so badly but feared getting blood and grit of battle all over her; so instead, he just smiled up at her.
