The Time I Left Forever
The Time I Left Forever
On my fourteenth birthday, I ran away at two o’clock in the morning. I ran for days, and weeks, and months. I didn’t know where I was running to or what I was running for but I ran. I never stopped until I reached one small city. I didn’t know how I knew but I knew Dan was here. I felt a cold hand touch my shoulder and I was embraced. I looked up only to find that it was Dan.
"I knew you’d run. I knew you’d know where I was. You’ve been the only person I had ever missed in my whole life." Dan said.
"I’m sorry." I said even though I had no idea what I was sorry for.
"I love you, my dear child."
"I love you, Dan."
