chapter 30
We made it through security and waiting for our bags. we both pulled out our phones and took them off airplane for the first time in a week. Both our phones started beeping like crazy with weeks full of text messages and other phone update, we set our phones to silent while they did that so we wouldn't annoy not only ourselves but the people around us. We collected our bags and headed to the exit. As we were walking we noticed a group of maybe 20 or so girls by the arrivals exit. At first we didn't really think anything of it because how would they know he was coming home today so we just assumed another band or well known person was arriving into Sydney today. As we got closer i noticed things the fans had the indicated they were in fact waiting for Ashton, i quickly dropped his hand which resulted in him turning to me with a puzzled look
"they are for you" i said pointing over to the girls
"what makes you say that" he questioned clearly not really paying any attention.
"for the fact that they have your EP cover and other pictures of you waiting to hopefully get signed
"Oh right" he said chuckling a little
'i'll just go wait other there and you go say hi okay" i said pointing towards the airports main exit.
i walked over and sat on the bench while i watched him go over to the girls. I decided to check my phone as it had stopped loading the texts. i looked and 90% were from Maui
i read through them most of them were jsut along the lines of
"i know you're on holiday but i miss me sister
"hope your having fun"
"i hope you're using protection :P"
But then they turned into
"YOUR FACE IS EVERYWHERE"
"DAD IS GOING INSANE"
"YOU BETTER NOT BE ENGAGED OR DAD IS GOING TO KILL ASHTON"
Then i had just one from my dad
"you and Ashton have some explaining to do"
**ASHTON'S POV**
I watched Olivia walk over to the bench by the door and i started to walk over to the girls. They werent screaming when they saw me which was good because i hate when all the do is scream and also means i have to have less time with them which leaves fans out because it gets too crazy. If you're calm and collected it means we can have more time with them.
"Hey girls" i said as i walked over to them
"hi Ashton, did you have a good holiday" one asked as i started signing things
"I did thank you, it was nice to get away for a bit"
"We all know you're with Olivia' they said and pointed toward her
"Please keep it to yourself" is all i said
"have you not been online, you guys are all over twitter, tumblr everywhere" one said
"What"
What do they mean Olivia and I are all over the internet. half of me is pissed that someone would be so uncool and spy on my private holiday but the other half of me is thinking this is it, we can stop hiding management cant do anything about it, we didn't go out to make it come out, it just did.
"yeah apparently you guys are engaged"
"i can tell you with 100% truth we are not engaged"
"how are we meant to believe you when you've clearly been lying to us all along"
"because that's different"i said
"how, you've clearly been with Olivia for months were going to guess since that time we saw her come out of your show and she said she was just a fan"
"i'm not engaged i'm only 19"
I quickly looked over to Olivia and noticed the worry on her face.
"i'm sorry girls but i really need to get going"
i hugged as many of them as i could and quickly signed a couple more things because grabbing my suitcase and walking over to Olivia.
**OLIVIA'S POV**
I was so confused by Maui and Dads texts i didn't see Ashton come up to me
"so apparently we are all over the internet" he said
"what" i questioned
"well according to those girls, there are some pictures from us in Bali online. They kept asking me if we're engaged"
"Well that explains it" i said
"explains what"
"i have texts from Maui saying Dad is going to kill you if we're engaged and then a simple text from dad saying we have some explaining to do"
"OH i see, i bet your dad and my mum have got together and talked about us then if your dad has seen these so called pictures i bet my mum has too"
"probably, so i wonder what these pictures are then"
"i don't know but i'm sure we are going to find out"
We walked outside and got into a taxi
"where to" the driver asked
we told him both our addresses and to drop me off at mine first. Ashton was going through his millions of texts while i looked out the window.
"excuse me sir, never mind about my address we are both getting out at the firs stop" Ashton said
I looked at him confused
"I text my mum saying we landed and would be home soon and she told me she is at yours so to just go there"
"oh great, i bet they are both just waiting for us with millions of questions"
"yeah so i looked up these pictures and there's ones from the whole week. on the beach, at dinners, like someone actually spent the time to stalk us. But the main ones that everyone is freaking out about is the ones that look like i'm proposing to you on the beach"
"well id id think the way you went about it looked like you were proposing i mean i though it at first too" i said laughing
"yeah so you dad must want to murder me for not informing him. but i would totally 100% ask him before hand is i was ever actually going to propose."
"good because you know my dad, like the old fashion stuff when it comes to relationships"
Next thing i know we have pulled up outside my house.
"well here goes" we said together
we got out of the taxi and collected our suitcases from the boot and made our way up to the front door. We both took a deep breath in which i don't know why we were so nervous it's not like we are actually engaged and kept it from our parents it's just a whole miss understanding. I opened the door and walked in with Ashton right behind me
"hello dad" I said
"we're in the living room" i heard back in a blunt voice. oh God.
we left our stuff at the door and walked into the living room
"Sissy" i heard and Maui attached herself to me
"I missed you" i said to her as we broke apart. i gave my dad a hug and Anne before my dad instructed us to sit down
"So how was your holiday" Anne said
"it was great, lovely, just what we needed" i replied Ashton was being very quiet which i don't understand we haven't done anything wrong, but the look my dad is giving Ashton. wow if looks could kill.
"so anything you would like to share" my dad said
"okay dad, first off i know what you and Anne are thinking, no we are not engaged Ashton did not propose to me"
"What about those pictures" Maui siad
"We only just saw all this, we had our phones off all week" I said Before Ashton finally stepped in and said something
"Those pictures are wrong. I didn't propose to Olivia, i wouldn't do that without asking you for Jai. But what those pictures are is me making a promise to Olivia that i would always be there for her. I gave her a promise ring. That is all it is"
"Oh Thank God Ashton. As much as i love you Olivia, you guys are too young for that" Anne said
"i know we are, but whats really annoying is that someone would take the time to follow us around. thats so creepy"
"But look at it this way, Clearly all the fans have seen the pictures and you can't really get around these saying you guys are just friends, so maybe this is it. Maybe you guys can stop pretending to be just friends" Maui said
"I don't know Maui, i'm sure management will have something to say"
and just like that, like a sign AShtons phone rang and the ID was his management
" i need to take this" he said he got up and left the room
"so what did you guys get up too" Dad asked
"we went horseback riding, hiking, snorkeling, jet skiing. just a week full or activities and just relaxing on the beach it was the best week ever" I told them all about the holiday and everything
"Sorry about that. Um Olivia we have to go in for a meeting tomorrow with Management and the rest of the boys" he said looking concerned
"I'm not surprised"
"we should probably go home Ash" Anne said getting up
Ashton pecked my lips and got up
"Bye babe" i said
"Bye" he replied before Anne and him left
Dad, Maui and I all went up to my room and unpacked and talked about the trip and what they had been up too while i was away.
"they are for you" i said pointing over to the girls
